Try epyntway.org, range control is (01874) 635599, it also appears that the brecon motor club has the use of the range roads on the 18th / 19th of this month. I have done some walking / training in that area and the scenery is beautiful.

I think we are looking at the middle of july for this, karl will post some dates to see who can make certain dates shortly

Right having read email and checked sites the best time to to this is most probably the 2 and 3 weekends in July (9/10 & 16/17), which then gives everybody advance warning so that they can clear these dates.

Just thinking of some of those photos in the first post of this thread: were they taken up around Rhymney & Tredegar? Some of those locations - especially the last two photos - look familiar. The 4th from last photo looks like road from the top of Park Hill, nr. Tredegar, past the lake / pond at Cefn Golau, to where the same road splits into two for Markham and Abertysswg.

Correct guessing? The area around Rhymney / Tredegar is a part of the valleys I know fairly well because work sometimes takes me around there. The road from the top of Park Hill down towards Markham is a favourite of mine which I have nicknamed the "Headbanger".

You might like to check whether any of these are going to affect your route:

9/7, Nicky Grist Quinton Stages Rally, using Eppynt, Halfway, Crychan and possibly Radnor, with service at The Royal Welsh Ground at Builth.

16/7, Swansea Bay Rally, using stages and roads around Walters Arena, Margam, generally the South Wales Forests, etc.

There is also the Knighton MC Road Rally one of the Saturday nights.

Hi all,

Taking into consideration peoples availability from the list and also with some help from Llanigraham on when the best time is due to road closures and rallies etc the date is going to be set for Saturday the 16th of July at 10 am. Hope fully we will have at least 5 cars in attendance possibly more plus its not too late for anyone else to join in.
