Count me in. Will confirm at the time of actual coughing up as need to check with against other commitments...

Have you considered Club100 at Hoddesdon? If you only driven Da Chuggers aka honda dual engine powered corporate dodgems then Club100 will scare the living cr@p out of you, in all the best ways! If your ar$e is light you will get below 3 sec acceleration to 60 mph and in you have the family jewels made of titanium you will not take that foot of the accelerator until the 180 bend  . There is one problem with that. After you finished and on your way back in your vRS's after few miles you will all be calling road assistance thinking that your cars simply do not work any more at all, no acceleration, no brakes and are about to capsize at a mere sight of a slight bend  .

I am no good for organising but suggesting is not off limits :)

I'm sure we will all have fun at Buckmore in the twin engined chughams. 100 cc two strokes are a whole different ball game. I'm getting on a bit now and not sure my body is still up to anything faster than a chugham lol.

yeah please stick with the chughams lol im not built for mental fast karts lol

Any dates in mind? I'm interested :)

Oh Yes baby! I am in!

Looking at April 2013. But will finalise dates available when Buckmore park release the 2013 calendar.

Yes, no doubt we will have a good session :). When I went for a corporate karting outing not that long ago I was disdraught at first when I heard they will be electric! Granted, slow they were but after a while you stop noticing following the descent of theRed Mist !

Two stroke racing karts are something else, 18k rpm, massive top end, sick handling, huge G-forces, all in all no other form of motorsport can compare really. Shumacher driving racing karts around Monaco F1 GP track with other F1 drivers recorded higher G-forces than in his F1 car!

I will come date dependent I am quite a regular at Buckmore Park practice sessions thanks to Tesco Clubcard rewards.

Would suggest rather than a two hour endurance race you may wish to consider a Grand Prix style event.

you get 3 heats starting back, front and middle finished off by a final with a grid position based on your three heat results.

Advantage of this for the 'old boys' amonst you is you get a short breather between races.

I think its about £80 each and you need a minimum of 12 persons. Weekday evenings are possible as the track is floodlit.

The karts at Buckmore are chuggers but they still hit 70mph down the back straight!

Not sure what's happening here now. I thought we were awaiting dates from the OP are we signing up for a GP style event or the endurance event as per the op. A bit of clarity for me at least is needed.

Still waiting for Buckmore Park to release 2013 Dates and until then I cannot make any further plans. Ideally it will be one Sunday in April 2013 and will be a Grand Prix type event.

Ok I've just been on the phone to Buckmore Park. I'm looking at Sunday 28th of April 2013. And depending on numbers they can organise an event to suit us. So what are everyone's thoughts on that date ? Cheers Pete.

I don't plan that far away. SWMBO's domain :) I will make enquiries whether there is anything already preplanned for the date. Kiddos allowed to spectate/participate? what's the minimum age for the event?

Bit of an early retirement !

Contrary to popular belief it is really dangerous sport and after a few shunts he simply stopped enjoying it so we decided to stop. Still have all the kit as I am finding it difficult to part with it having put so many hours into the whole thing. He decided he'd enjoy designing F1 cars better than driving them :D. Anthony Hamilton promised he will make a F1 Wolrd Champion out of him - I am so glad we did not take hi offer! Today he asked me to explain to him how sonic boom works - I felt a bit challenged! He's one clever lad!

Sonic Boom. Google is your friend lol

I mean the challenge was to translate that for 10 year old's ability to understand. I could probably write down equations describing progressive increase of pressure front created by an object travelling in atmosphere past the speed of sound but that would be lost on him :).
