Guide: How to change fabia front ARB

Different models use different bushes - also it depends if the updated ARB is fitted. Quote your VIN to a dealer and you should be given the correct bush - unless it is early enough to have the older ARB fitted at the factory, and now has the updated one. Check the ARB end stops with a magnet to see if they are metal - if so then the ARB is the updated one.

Great guide! Is it necessary to do all this to just change the bushings or is there a simpler solution? I am intimidated by trying this as it is my daily car and can't afford to do it wrong!

I've tried the loosen the nuts on the bolts that secure the bush clamps to the subframe, but they're square (Fabia mk1 vrs 04 plate).

A 17 mm, or 18mm socket sort of fits on it if that's any indication of it's size.

How has everyone removed these square nuts?

I'm not replacing the ARB, just want to replace the bushes.

I've read that it should only take 20 minutes per side.

I'd agree if I could loosen the nuts.

Help is much appreciated !!!!
