    • Hi, I need to replace my rear discs, I tried last summer at the side of the road, but couldn't loosen the blasted carrier bolts. I still need to do this job, and I can't afford to pay a garage to do the whole job, so I was thinking of asking locally if anyone with a lift could just crack/loosen the bolt and then nip them back up, so I could take it home and do the job on the drive. So my question is, can the carrier bolts be loosened without removing the calipers if the car is up on a lift?   Thanks in advance.
    • When I say fully serviced, I mean serviced by Škoda in accordance with their schedule. Hopefully they will have changed plugs as part of that?
    • Hi all I became a Skoda owner on Saturday, picked up my 2019 sportline superb estate. Love the car but I've got a question when I went to adjust the vents this morning I noticed that the tabs have broken on both of the centre vents. The car came with an RAC warranty, so I was wondering if I should make a claim. I don't even know if this would be covered under that sort of warranty. Then I was thinking to just ring the dealer and ask them to sort. But I have this nagging doubt that I might just be making things worse and end up with a squeaky dashboard if someone attempts a repair and I should leave this well alone.    Just wondering if anyone else had been in this situation, or had the vents fixed and was there any side effects of pulling the dashboard apart.   Thanks.   p.s. I have a load of other questions about my car but I will keep this one just for this issue 😉
    • 1 year old Octavia here. On version 1941 for some time and I only saw 1 reboot in all those months since hitting this version. We had a spell of warmer than usual warm weather here for a few days. On Saturday morning (9am not very hot) my car started what looked like continuous reboots of the infotainment system also. Muting of the radio/music happened also and an error about parking brake appeared on dash. Turning off the infotainment system while driving did not stop the reboots.   What worried me was that later I parked my car and returned to see that the radio was on despite it being off when I had parked it. I also noticed that car didnt appear to "shut down" on another occasion when I was locking it - the 2 dash dials remained on screen after locking and when I was walking away. All was good when I returned that time.   Car has behaved as normal on Sunday and this morning. I'm concerned I'll return to a flat battery if radio stays on for some time and I will not be able to travel as required. I will get in contact with dealer.
    • Hi I have a 2021 Karoq, now 3 years old, and I understand the alarm system has its own power source, as said  in the owner manual. Is this power source a removable battery, or is it more complicated than that? I don’t want to be stuck one day with an alarm system playing up if its possible to replace The power source before it becomes a problem; as I think I read that they can have very different  Life spans. My first post on this forum; be gentle with me!
