Interesting, although not many offer it I think. Apr and revo, right? Not cheap either. Don't think anyone with a skoda has done a haldex remap either

Virtual Pedal Retrofit
Just to correct my earlier post about the wiring to KESSY pins, it should be pins 2 and 16 on KESSY. Also the holder bracket I bought from skoda to hold the module doesn't work because its designed for a skoda module, and the one in the Chinese kit is from a passat, must be a different shape.

Front Grille replacement
I can't imagine doing it without removing the front bumper. The torx screws were only part of the battle, there's also the plastic tabs

VCDS Coding Query - Which multi-function module? '67 Plate
I'm in Olney with vcds and hex-v2 if that's of any use. @SashaGrace do you know what coding is needed for the footwell lights to match ambient strips? My colour changing footwell lights arrived from aliexpress, but I don't know where they get coded

Silly question, do the sensor lines work through the plastic bumper, or are the wires fully exposed underneath the bumper? I'm expecting to mount them on the inside of the bumper here

After software update no radio or phone
Have you left the battery disconnected for 10 mins to see if that makes a difference? Also exactly what type of software update are we talking about

Upgrade to spare wheel
If its 4wd haldex isn't there some extra reasons to be cautious also? Can't remember the details but I remember thinking in my case with haldex I'd want a like for like full size spare

- Virtual Pedal Retrofit
Sure, well if skoda can't figure out the extra support piece, I'll just stick the 2x lines on, but it seems someone went to the trouble of designing the extra retainer, so if it exists, I'll get it! @SashaGrace I can't for the life of me find a part number for the bootlid close button that has a double button for auto close. I know it exists, but etka doesn't want to play ball and give out the part number. Going to trawl vw next to see if I can take it from a tiguan or something *edit found it by installing VW etka, it's available as 3G0 959 832A, wonder if the skoda bootlid controller will know how to handle the auto close functionality. Also has a different connector on the back with rounded edges so will need a part number for that connector, as well as to figure out which pins on the bootlid controller the "auto close" button should connect to. I guess I need to dive into the vw current flow diagrams to figure that out...- Virtual Pedal Retrofit
There are two sensor lines, one uses 7x adhesive-backed little square clips with zip ties to secure it, and according to the diagram (see etka 8.3 illustration above, the part labelled "22" 5K0 962 283 Retainer for aerial Sensor line for tailgate It seems to look like some long strip of plastic to hold the second sensor in, as the name also suggests. But the part number is def wrong for that, as you can see from the image of what the dealer provided when I ordered it. I can find that part number on other diagrams showing its true purpouse (mounting bracket to hold a kessy aerial) @sashagrace that could be very helpful, especially if the estate has a similar setup to secure the aerial/sensor line. Even netted if you manage to get a photo under your rear bumper to see if there's any plastic strip looking like part 22- Virtual Pedal Retrofit
piked up parts from skoda, skoda parts diagrams / etka is wrong. 5K0 962 283 Retainer for aerial Sensor line for tailgate opening does not look anything like it should, it should be as per the diagram a strip of plastic to retain the sensor aerial wire, but rather it's actually a plastic bracket for holding kessy aerials. whoever makes the skoda etka diagrams has messed up here, so the dealer will raise an etka technical request to challenge it, but to do so, I need to help him out by giving a vin to a sedan superb iii that has virtual pedal. If anyone would be so kind ..- VCDS Adaptations. How do I ..........
So someone kindly sent me this dataset yesterday, but I was expecting a single xml file, the structure here seems to be one master xml referring to many other individual xmls, at a guess each of the individual xmls judging by the naming convention is for the individual memory addresses of the eeprom or something? I just wanted to know if this was a normal /recognised structure before I try applying it 4_6041976828837497041.rar- What have you done to your Superb III today?
Wheels look clean 😉- VCDS Adaptations. How do I ..........
Thanks for that. I flashed my bootlid module using odis-e from version J to a more recent version AB, and now the bootlid only opens 1/5 of the way. I'm trying to figure out how I establish whether it needs some paramater file after flashing it, or whether adaptations get lost after flashing, or whether I just need to go through the vag group bootlid 'training' sequence which doesn't work for me. I'm confident the ab version software is good to use on the same module hardware as the j version- VCDS Adaptations. How do I ..........
Are the values set in VCDS adaptations equal to the contents of xml parameter files which odis-e can upload?, or indeed a VCP.zdc file. If not, what's the difference between paramaters and adaptation values?- Steering wheel volume control bust.
Correct, the small black connector attaches to the multifunction button wiring,- Best cheapest retrofit (Sport pedals)
That's not a proper fit for RHD cars, too slim. Correct fit is the exact same as a RHD golf R, see mine in image below £20.56 40%OFF | 3 pcs RHD Foot Rest Pedal Dead Pedal Cover For VW Golf 7 Mk7 VII GTI R A3 8V 2013 2014 2015 2016 Right-Hand-Drive https://a.aliexpress.com/_mtOQAK3- 1905 L&k badges?
I had mine custom made, I used a company called stickers international. I prefer the quality to the aliexpress ones I got, where the gold is a bit more like the gold on the waving cat in the Chinese restaurant, and didn't take long for water ingress to show on the Chinese ones I used on the wheel centre caps causing some delamination, so as well as front and back, I'm going to get more made from stickers international for the centre caps and steering wheel.- Virtual Pedal Retrofit
Just waiting on the few ancillary parts (bracket, line retainer etc) on backorder to arrive at the parts dept of local dealer. Meanwhile.. Picked up a battered old laptop for £20, spent 2 days getting windows 7 x64 on it and fully updated , loading it up with vcds, etka, odis-s and odis-e, battling drivers to get the Vas5054a properly working with both Odis-s and odis-e and proceeded to flash the bootlid controller, not really confident I should be let loose with odis-e but I'm a chancer, as attested to by the fact that I did it with both the car battery dying from the hours I spent trying to get the software connecting to the car, as well as flashing over Bluetooth instead of USB which for many reasons is obviously ill-advised. Anyway the flash went fine, but my bootlid is now a bit mental, it only opens 1/5 of the way and stops. I'm guessing that as well as flashing the controller, I probably need to give it some basic paramaters, but I can't find any really clear guidance on how to send paramaters. I think VCP can do it, assuming you have a zdc paramater file. But that means buying even more software and hoping the right zdc file is out there somewhere. Apparantly you can send paramaters as xml files from odis-e but god knows what chance I have of finding someone who can give me the xml paramater file for the bootlid module on a superb 3. If these paramater files simply contain the values for adaptations (in vcds language) then that would be nice, as I'm sure some friendly face on here would tell me what values they have in their bootlid module adaptations. The latest ab software makes different noises as the bootlid opens and closes, not sure if that's any different to "s" One other point, anyone planning to fit the dual close button instead of the single close button - looks like a messy swap, the button is attached to the fabric bootlid liner trim in a mucky way.- Mib 2 high and 2.5 high SW update
