  1. The ross tech forum guys probably know. This is the closest thread I can find for the mqb platform
  2. Essentially a nickname for your head unit's music media player software that let's you browse around albums, called jukebox because of how you page through the albums I guess
  3. I prefer to download from mibsolution.eu guest/guest
  4. https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/15103/page-2
  5. I suspect that it probably requires a replacement controller module with a newer version to program the coming home animation, but I'm not sure. You did this wire up to the front of the car for the pwm signal also? I prepared it at all 4 lights but didn't connect it to the front yet because its working fine without, and I want to understand what exactly the pwm signal does first, and what controllers might be needed for it to work right.
  6. Let me know if you happen to have a list of materials I can copy! Thx
  7. Wheel arches and door cards are some of the main areas apparantly. I also read about using the rubbers on suspension towers from an audi or passat or sth, the logic being that mechanical transmission of noise is the first thing to look at. Presume you found all the existing threads on the topic?
  8. And it'll stay there until I get all the parts for TV tuner retrofit and virtual pedal retrofit together, I don't fancy putting the interior back just to pull it again 😂 I should probably do some sound deadening with brown bread or whatever the latest stuff is while I'm at it
  9. I'm an idiot, I just remembered my driveway has a bit of a slope. Probably doesnt happen on flat ground

  11. Mine was dead when I picked up my car. These are the right ones which the car keeps charged, sorted it for me https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004WBL86S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_RMWE1P2B42DXFYRVS0XE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  12. Forgot to point out the screws (2 I think) on the plastic trim that holds the parcel shelf in addition to the metal clips
  13. Just for you https://photos.app.goo.gl/Uvts7t32PB2q3uDG9
  14. I agree It just surprises me that they got so much 'right' with the superb, that I'm surprised they missed this 'pooling water' issue
  15. Only one that bugs me so far
  16. Also I I already have my interior trim removed while fitting facelift rear lights, so I took a look, these are already in the bootlid of my car which doesn't have tv tuner
  17. Done! https://youtu.be/ybRPBTotKMw Well some coding to do to get the taillights to their proper brightness (something called dimmwert needs to be changed from 100 to 127), but I'll do that once the rain stops
  18. Will have it finished tomorrow, as you can see the original car's harness is left untouched with my homemade wiring harness adapters
  19. never mind, I got the connector from a volkswagen scirocco, so I paid for Volkswagen ETKA access for an hour and was able to 'reverse engineer' the pin assignments.
  20. Long shot but I'll ask anyway.. big favour needed if you happen to have a facelift, and are comfortable removing a rear outercluster - would you mind providing a picture of the wires that go into one of your outer cluster lights? I'm doing a wiring job, but the connectors have no numbers on the pins, and I can't find any published diagram showing which pin is which on this connector. I'd just need to know If the car is left hand drive or right hand drive, and whether your photo is on drivers side or passenger side. Would be a huge huge help. The connector will look like this
  21. A - TV tuner -R78- B - 12-pin connector, at wiring harness - T12b C - 2-pin connector, at wiring harness - T2k
  22. Also your aerial amplifiers parts are wrong, they are for fm/dab, you already have them, they are not for dvb, for radio and dvb tv you need three: 4m0035225k, 4m0035225H, 4m0035225J This is information coming from mib retrofit experts, not from me. I'll let you know how I get on. They also said to buy version "c" of the TV tuner because it is more stable, and also to take a look at this https://www.drive2.ru/l/548204129177043627/
  23. I think the cover for the TV tuner is 5G0 972 136 I also know there are different letter variants of the TV tuner with a, b etc at the end of the part number. For different countries maybe? Also see here for the little screws etc. you need https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/golf+variant+4motion/golf/2016-746/0/035-35070/#2 I think in a right hand drive car the sound amplifier (if you have it) is under the passenger seat, and TV tuner under the driver seat. Do you think all 4x antennas are needed or is it just the right one for your country?
  24. What's the trick to reattaching this without tearing the rubber? Been swearing at this for 20 mins. I bet @SashaGrace has some knack..
