  1. The seal on you on your oil pan sump for the mech has gone(0AM325219C) or has not been changed or even incorrectly fitted. Not the expensive to replace, about £60 and you'll need to top of the mech with G 004 000 hydraulic fluid.
  2. Hope this all works out mate, be one of a kind bud.
  3. They are fine if you know how to look after them and know what to look for in terms of major issues, As i said you can squeeze 500bhp out a 1.4 block which is unbelievable if you ask me. In terms of handling, I'll be completely honest with you mate......they are terrible if your used to driving a good road set up car, 40mm h&r springs and a a full anti roll bar set up will help but the body roll is still shocking and the general comfort of ride isn't great. I know a couple of boys who track them and in comparison say to a fiesta ST, round a twisty road or track it'll leave us no problem.
  4. The question is, How far do you want to take it? Cave engine will run about 260-70bhp max before needing forged internals and even at that the standard clutch will not last long. If your planning to go over 300 bhp your easily talking £6-7k on mods and is almost impossible to get the power down from a standing start even with an upgraded LSD. Bang for buck there's easier power to achieve out there with other cars, I've seen builds with 500 bhp but none in the UK with even close to 400 bhp can get the power down and struggle to run 13 second 1/4 miles. I'm running around 250 ish, Its fine and a quick little car but my clutch fears for its life if I red line it.
  5. Sorry mate only seen the first picture, Only issue you may have is the VRS one has DSG paddles.
  6. What wheel do you have now? As any steering wheel with new multi functional buttons that you don't have already will need coded in and in some cases perhaps new wiring behind the wheel.
  7. 100% wont be a straight swap, Ton of buttons needed coded in there and huge chance that the wiring is different.
  8. Not a common fault but a couple of other people have had it, Usually is either the car's been hammered for a good bit or your sitting in traffic for a long while or the box has a dodgy flash/remap. Firstly get it scanned for any codes it might have left behind. The bang is worrying but it could be as simple as re programming the gearbox, I presume you let it cool down and it drove fine? Clutch issues would immediately or should throw up the spanner on the dash if it couldn't select a gear however I wouldn't discard that. Get it plugged in as its pretty much needle in haystack stuff until then, The PCB in the mechatronic has been known to melt if the original mech oil wasn't changed. And as said above it doesn't have to be done by a dealer or specialist, its nit much different from fitting any other clutch apart form there's 2 cutch plates and it needs adapted in by VAGCOM/ODIS.
  9. I done my chain at 50k,Purely because it was a 10 year old chain and i knew it was a canter to change. Tsi's will let you soon enough if your chains stretched either audibly, a misfire or a code firing up, Wouldn't ever consider that it will snap. In terms of chain and belts, You only need to replace timing chain and tensioner as the oil pump chain will very rarely shows sign of wear or the spring loaded tensioner associated. You have drive belt and supercharger drive belt as well as the water pump itself, these only need replaced when showing signs of use/wear or worth doing if your water pump chucks it, regular coolant flush and avoid putting water in the coolant and the water pump should last. Chain, water pump and all belts can be done in a half day, I done mine on my driveway.
  10. If new plugs and coils don't solve it, check the wiring to the coils.
  11. When was the last time the plugs where changed and what brand as you wont believe how picky these cars are for plugs, Unfortunately the AA man will just see this as a generic VAG tsi and would most likely not have a clue about the required spec of the coils or plugs.
  12. Yeah it’s from Turkey, I’m led to believe it’s the most powerful fabia mk2 Vrs made, Ran 500bhp but I’m sure it’s running around 460 now but I could be wrong. A user on here bought block but it’s now back with the previous owner Volkan, who built it.
  13. The magnetic clutch comes as part of of the waterpump, They are the one part. You can pay from £60 to £260 for a waterpump depending on how much you trust peoples opinions, I've Ran a £62 version for over 3 years now however others will have conflicting views.
  14. Nope it wouldn't, In this case if stopped by traffs for a dodgy plate you would be done for no insurance and car towed. They would simply hit you with some jargon about ANPR no being able to recognise it and dish out 3 points. I could show you 3 cars that fabia's that look identical to that without effort. Its only a maxton splitter kit, spoiler, rear diffuser and a few bits of gloss vinyl threw on. Unless its porting a v10 or some crap and he's not told us,
  15. only issue with my kit from ebay was it was it was a 5 pin relay and ideally I would have preferred a 4 but managed to work round it.
  16. Toilet or sink in small quantities as it will be watered down by the time it gets to the sewage works, Never down an outside drain. And before the "Greta Thunbergs" get the fingers going, Your local dump wont take, You'll have to pay a garage biscuit money to take it and its no worse than household products such as bleach/drain unblocker/other cleaning products.
  17. Bought a similar kit from ebay for £20 about a year ago, Butchered the wiring kit little, binned the heated pads and used the wiring only to hook up some leather heated seats in my camervan, Worked a treat.
  18. Never daft idea to buy too much when it comes to coolant, I always keep some spare in the boot or in the shed.
  19. Simply get some live data when you think its happening if you can. HPFP on these are notorious for going bogus due to the third generation design, There's no on demand system on the HPFP, the pressure sits at 140 bar until its told to drop. That's why when mucking about with the fuel pump you need to careful with these, pop the fuse and wait until the pressure drops to 8 bar. While the LPFP is supply only with no return so keeps the engine ticking over I wouldn't expect this to be your issue. Id be immediately looking at the HPFP and the fuelling side of things.
  20. Use G12 or G13, Either work fine....only difference is g13 uses gylercin. Cooling capacity is until it hits the max mark on the bottle.
  21. Never had it on the weighbridge as standard however have had it weighed at 1260kg with only drivers seat and half a tank of fuel. I'll stick to my original comment that in the real world 44kg isn't going to make a world of difference on these cars as a daily driver so unless the op is planning to remove a a lot more weight he is only removing the weight of the average 12 year old,2 tyres or a medium/large dog? Has there ever been any official or dragy timed 0-60 with the weight on and then removed out of curiosity, Apologies if its been posted.
  22. I get what your saying but as I mentioned in the real world 44kg is what? less than 7 stone? Not entirely sure how much that would equate to in a 0-60 time if someone cold calculate it......I'm guessing not much at all, I wouldn't remove my spare wheel and jack for a daily driver so I've left them out the equation.
  23. Just get yourself a combi and a bit of tarp! I can get 3 adult mountain bikes in the back no worries! As for the weights on the rear, In the real world and to the average joe they mean absolutely nothing, Removing them isn't going to dramatically drop your 0-60 and removing them on a car which is terrible at handling, shaped liked brick and has more body roll than sumo wrestler isn't going to make it a track demon either. if your serious about weight reduction and are heading down that route , I'd recommend getting rid of the heavy standard alloys(if you haven't already) and start from there.
  24. Torque limits on the DQ250 would give it the advantage bud but as we spoke about .....Mating that dq250 to the driveshaft requires a lot of work. The dq250 having the 350nm torque limit(some dq250's were made with higher torque limit depending on the engine size) but the weight is 94kg(104 kg if 4x4) not including the clutch whilst the dq200 is only 70kg including the clutch.
