  1. Its an impossible task mate and isn't it only the wavetrac that's available for our 7 speed platform? Run a wider tyre and lsd is your only really option unless you can try get the torque mapped a bit lower in the lower gears. Your the 3rd person Iknow who runs 300+ on these and cant put down the power at all on launch but again that's 1/4 mile....If building your car for that just plant extra weights on the front end
  2. See my build thread, Battery relocation can easily be achieved for buttons using an alternative tray....In fact you can actually hack the OEM battery try enough to spin it 90 degree's in you desire. I also fabricated my own air intake to establish slightly better flow as the forge was restrictive. RTMG are undoubtedly the best company for a remap or aftermarket parts in the uk for these particular motors, However and the big however is that RTMG are really expensive and some of their own branded parts can be bought elsewhere as oem parts ie ,Intercoolers, Valve springs and coils packs for cheaper. You wont regret remapping these cars and particularly a separate DSG(TCU) map benefits the cars massively
  3. Just up the road in Greenock.
  4. RTMG,FORGE, RACING LINE OR MST for the filter. 194bhp sounds an odd figure to be fair as usually a stage 1 remap is around 210bhp, Where was it dyno'd?
  5. Choose what you want believe buddy that's you choice, I'm not going to sit here and argue about something that took you longer than me. No need to lose too much coolant if its fresh apart from what's left in the pump when you drain it from the lower rad pipe while having the motor running,
  6. It'll be the bearing on the water pump that's failed, Simple way to check is to take a deck at both belts and watch how they're spinning. As its been quoted above you can pay anything from £60 to £200 for the pump, I paid £62 for mine and its done 25k in 3 year without a hitch(2 of years being remapped at stage 2). I'm pretty set on my opinion with the cheaper one but I also understand people might have issues in the past. As for fitting - If you've never changed one before its tight and a learning process however its pretty simple if using the right methods and tools, First time I changed one I had to fabricate the t10241 tool myself, I later purchased the tool from Poland and when changing the pump for a mate I hammered it in 2 hours(contrary to the comments above). Tons of videos on youtube if you need help and I also have the proper work manual if you need it, If not youshould be about £100-150 about to have it fitted if you avoid Skoda. I was £30 for 2 belts and £62 for the pump so for us cheapo's out there it can be done for under a £100 if moneys tight.
  7. Mk2 fabia headlights are crap, Its all been tried before in terms of uprated bulbs etc.....The only way improve the output dramatically is to fit HID'S at the cost of finding a friendly MOT tester.
  8. Usual with these, Strip the door card pull the wires through to reduce the stress and repair the broken wires.
  9. Did they just replace the mech? Was it brand new or reconditioned? and what did they say was the issue in the first place? The chances are you never needed to shell out £1500 and your original mech and your issue could have been repaired. Get a diagnostic tool plugged in as if its the fault codes showing as "P17BF".....Then its repairable a hell of a lot cheaper albeit a bit of a daunting job if a garage or yourself haven't attempted it before.
  10. Perfectly reliable in this day and age.
  11. Will be broken wires in the loom as said above, I pulled the wires back through and soldered everything.
  12. Yeah that’s the one mate. Let me know if your selling the RTMG one👍
  13. You need the original recirculating bov, What bov is on it just now? As the both forge and rtmg come with additional spacers on the MAF side. I have the original box lying about somehwere.
  14. I paid £62(€72) for a EIS radiator and fitted it myself in a couple of hours, haven’t had any issues. Not sure if Hungary has the equivalent of eurocarparts.com as that’s where I purchased mine with a voucher code a few years ago. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/eis-radiator-203790030
  15. Thats just a mounting bracket, pops off by undoing those 2 spline bolts. If you detention the top tensioner with a open ended spanner that belt should just pop straight off. Can I ask why your replacing this belt, usually the 2 belts are replaced as part of a failing water pump.
  16. Can you physically see the leak? these radiators are cheap to replace and have been known to corrode in the corners, a simple pressure test will let yo know if its the radiator or your waterpump.
  17. God knows what they mean by the 75w. No worries at all mate, Just don't let them sell you anything else now!😄
  18. Skoda/audi/vw dealers near you? if not its available on ebay - see here. In work just now so not got time to shop about, I'm sure other places will sell it.
  19. See my post above, Skoda are useless........They'll either tell you nonsense, charge you a fortune or have you going round in circles.
  20. "4987 ATF" is the tool your looking for mate and you'll need a syphon/pump, It can be syringed in but takes forever. You've emptied the gearbox oil which is 1.7 litres of "G 052 171", The mechatronic sump is a spline style bolt and requires 1 litre of "G 004 000" if you wish to change that too. Not a hard job to be honest, I done mine at 50k.
  21. You had a look at they're welding mate? nearly fainted when I seen the downpipe they advertised🤐 As for exhaust, Do you have the option to go custom? Full system and decat cost me less than cobra etc.
  22. Give them a ring mate, They'll sort you out with the kit and tensioner. water pump - Cooling System Water Pump 03C121004D 03C121004E for Seat Ibiza Alhambra 710 MPV 1.4 TSI : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive aux belts - 03C145933A & 03C260849A (found ebay to be the cheapest) Timing tools - Timing Tool Set VAG 1.2, 1.4, 1.6L FSi/ TFSi Petrol - Audi Seat Skoda Volkswagen 5902188472387 | eBay You may find these parts cheaper mate, I just done a quick search.
  23. Skoda want £550 to give you a kind of ball park figure.
  24. No worries mate. Have the workshop manual if you need a look.
