In my younger days I remember putting something called Slick 50 in my engine. It coated the engine internals in Teflon and made your car coast for 50 miles in 4th gear - or so you told your mates

The advertising slogan for the Fiat Strada at the time was ''Hand Built By Robots.'' The Not The Nine O'clock News comedy show did a skit on that slogan only they used the BL Ambassador as the car and changed the slogan to ''Hand Built By Roberts'' .... And the proper advert....

Yes indeed 😁 My dad had a Mk5 Escort. It was a horrible bloody thing to drive. The Mk6 was a lot better. I loved the way mine drove. Oh yes, FIAT (Fix It Again Tomorrow)

That's a shame but nice that she was able to drive for so long I absolutely loved my Escort, the Zetec engine was so smooth. Rust claimed the car in the end as was usually the way with Fords.
