  1. Cripes! Did it even cost that much brand-new?
  2. You can buy the repair kits for the lock. Like this....
  3. Models up to about 2003 have bolts instead of rivets. It was probably a cost-cutting thing, also quicker assembly on the production line.
  4. That's not my door. It's just a random pic off the internet.
  5. 300 ''break''. It has broken 300 times? Better put it back to standard then 😛
  6. Not sure which plug you have Stewart but this one has the amplifier.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112504702872?hash=item1a31cd8798:g:QIoAAOSwmXlamcc2
  7. He's already fitted one of those but had no joy, hence fittting a new aerial base.
  8. I had somehow missed that one too
  9. ^ Big Clive. I've been watching him for years. Amazingly talented man in electronics 👍
  10. Strongly advise fitting new top mounts and bearings too, especially the bearings. Strut top nuts can be removed/replaced with a 22mm spark plug socket that has the nut flats at the top. You can then get an allen key/bit down the top of the plug socket whilst using a spanner on the flats.
  11. Fitted Kilen ones to mine and been OK up to now. I don't think there's much between them tbh.
  12. That's an odd one. I believe you've recently had the cluster out? I would try taking it back out and removing and replacing the plugs again. I have found that they don't much like being disturbed. Other than that, I don't know.
  13. I've not seen him around for ages now. Nice guy too, hope he's OK.
  14. I gave my old ones away to a member on here called Hutchy who has/had a business dealing with Fabia headlights.
  15. Yeah I only have a very small pic but this was them when I got them...
  16. I did the same as AnnoyingPentium and never been flashed and had no problems on MOT.
  17. The problem with that is that if the plastic has broken it probably means the regulators are pretty old. He might go to all the trouble to replace just the plastic bits only to have the regulator cable snap shortly after and have to take it all apart again.
  18. Glad that side is OK. They must have gone mad with the windy gun 🙄
  19. I'm not sure tbh, Stewart. I guess it's one of these but not sure which one... https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2001-225/0/051-51010/
  20. No probs. Yes, the boss is just a stop in case the wedge went right down. Yeah, let us know what the other side is like.
  21. Here's a video for the roof aerial....
  22. The adjuster wedges go at the back and you have to get the wedges the right way around. One side has a dimple and the other side has a protrusion. The smooth dimple side goes against the shoe. If you get it the wrong way around they will jam and fail to work. This was mine when I fitted a full pre-assembled brake overhaul kit...
