SHOULD OAP's BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE FABIA vRS?
LadyVienna replied to vRSgone's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Well being 30 im not sure if I quite fit into the 'yoof of today' or the 'middle age' category or perhaps something else?............ but whatever, imo its horses for courses when it comes to choosing cars and what people decide to drive. Yes I see a lot of people who are probably aged 50-70 driving skodas locally to me but I think its mostly because they are reliable, comfortable and not hugely expensive cars. So whats wrong with that? On a different note though, I actually think everyone with a licence should do a 5 or 10 yearly driving licence test re-sit. Its very easy to get into bad habits etc and become lazy drivers and I think this would help combat that and also ensure those who are older, are still safe to drive. I was glad when my nan gave up driving as I was not convinced her reactions were good enough and she was neither confident nor happy being in control of a car. Absolutely nothing to do with her age, but she could have become a danger to herself and others through hesitation, not seeing things in time etc -
Hi and welcome I'm another Kent person. This forum is great for advice and entertainment

One for the blue here lol. But then I don't like white cars as a rule. However it does look good in white but I still love it in blue. Blue blue blue all the way lol

LadyVienna replied to cyber_killer's topic in General Automotive Chat
Yep its pretty much the same thing, although more expensive (the passat that is) in pretty much every way (parts, insurance, purchase costs) -

VCDS Question(s) Parking Sensor Sensitivity
LadyVienna replied to jtypecav's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Yep mine have gone off before when a lorry nearly squashed me on a roundabout. Side sensors went mental. -
Other half just put rain sport 3s on his alfa and he loves them. Very impressed with them in both wet and dry

Whoopsie I am a bad person I forgot to take the photo! Will try and remember tomorrow lol

Very cute. But they would need a hell of a lot of surgery to look like that. I def can't afford that!! What about if I just paint them those colours? -
Room for the hell hounds too? You wouldn't even know they were there.... Except for the fur..... Haha

Well I had an 03 plate 1.9 diesel estate octy with an auto box. The trip computer regularly said 50mpg however using fuelly this translated into around 43mpg. Larger tank but used to get 500+ miles out of it Now have a mk3 vrs octy estate manual. Trip computer says 50mpg, fuelly says 51mpg. Smaller tank and still getting over 500+ miles out of it. Therefore my new car is def better on fuel than my old car. Also I haven't even done 6000 miles in the new one yet so expect the mpg to become even better still as the engine continues to bed in.

I have a rhino boot liner for my dogs and canton in the car. I prefer to leave the liner covering (but not tightly) the sub. Doesnt make a blind bit of difference to the sound
-
Hi steveh3 yes I have canton. Lol the big fella bought me that parking sign (or v similar)

Haha not sure work want them causing havoc for the day! I work Ashford but live in Deal and it's too far to go home after work and then come all the way back :( also don't think they allow dogs in the old mill -
Just counted up the pennies I have...... Erm probably won't be able to make this due to lack of non essential fuel funds :( also no chance of me coming to Coombe now either :( :( :(
