A friend of mine also had a camera fitted to his car which was modded. A very similar thing happened to him with the garage taking the ****. Similar result (tho just punished I think not fired but they weren't doing 3 figure speeds). I will def be turning the sound off on mine before it goes in for a service lol

for me, no. I put it under the sensor and behind the rearview mirror so that it is central in the screen (therefore central view of the road) but it also doesnt hamper my view either.

Obviously I don't go on stag do's but I do think that's a lot of money. I recently went on a hen weekend and in total I think it cost me about £200 which was more than enough. Normally I would decline from spending that (just don't have it) but this was for one of my oldest and best friends so I made an exception hehe. If your brother really wants you there that much when you explain about not being able to afford it, he could pay for your ticket. If I had that kind of disposable income and one of my besties didn't, I'd pay for them. (One day when I win the lottery....)

Mine is a blackvue 400. The thing that gets me is people are genuine at the time then change their story after the event when they find out how much it's going to cost them lol. That's what these camera are brilliant for!

The x shades look pretty good. Anyone had experience of using both uv and x? Any preference for one over the other?

Unless someone was driving dangerously I wouldnt do anything with the footage like give it to the police. If they were being an idiot and endangering others I would just call the cops and report them (while on hands free Bluetooth of course). I have had to do this before when I was following a driver who was clearly drunk as a skunk who did hit another car in the end (as well as several curbs). Best thing was the other car he mullered was also his hahaha. The rest of the time the worst I would do is to maybe post to YouTube and mock them for driving like a wiener hehehe

Ooh never even thought about that! Obviously before she got out of her car we made sure she wasn't in pain or anything (plus of course it was a relatively low speed incident). Specifically asked about her neck etc. What would happen with insurance if that had of happened?

This is pretty rough (was a while ago now!) but was around £140 for the unit and for the fitting dinner / £20 and fluttering on eyelashes / pleading to lovely brisky members for the install.
