  1. If you not going to fit a Twin pass FMIC, like the one used with the Forge kit, look into fitting the BAM intake manifold and using some of the parts such as the Boost pressure sensor pipe. Its a cleaner install for FMIC setups in my opinion.
  2. I think this has been covered before, but anyway here's what you'll need: (items with # next to it are not off a 1.8t BAM engine) K04-023 Turbo oil and coolant lines for it exhaust manifold custom downpipe # injectors + fuel rail inlet manifold Turbo intake pipe Maf Uprated re-circ valve, Not a blow off valve!!!! # Air filter Fuel pump and 4 bar pressure regulator FMIC, (its easier than trying to make the bam twin intercoolers to work.) You'll need to modify the Boost pressure sensor You will need to re-route a few lines such as coolant line that goes to expansion tank, and the Fuel breather lines. and a remap of course. Or you could get a hybrid k03s / k04 made up and save yourself a load of hassle with the exhaust mani etc, and just do injectors, maf remap etc.
  3. Save up your pennies and get a decent downpipe, I got a cheap sports downpipe off ebay and had vibration issues with it as well, was vibrating on the heatshield over power steering rack. You could always go to a custom exhaust builder and see if they can modify your existing downpipe but they would probably try and sell you a full custom pipe.
  4. Am definitely interested in the milltek system but cant buy till beginning of next month as im going up to Scotland!!! always the way!
  5. I used the standard Audi S3/TT 225 pipe with sensor, it slotted in with no cutting required, but you need to remove battery and battery box.
  6. Had the same on mine a while back, decent tyres on front, and A1 ditch finders on the rear. Fitted decent tyres on the back and now tons better in the wet, hasn't spun out yet.... touch wood!
  7. fitted some new wheels and tidied up the engine bay a bit recently. Looks like I may have to lower it a bit now lol
  8. check the power feed to the lock from the fuse box. I had this issue a while back, all my locks were doing funny things, some worked, some didn't. Turned out to be 12v power supply wire which ran from fuse box to main harness. Even though the rest of your doors are working, it could still be the wiring for the individual door. Check the wires where they go through the door hinge conduit, and also the connector bottom right of the driver side footwell.
  9. I've been finishing up fitting my fmic setup with bam boost pipework and intake manifold, needs a bit of fettling (or tidying up) but is running well... ready for a remap! :p
  10. Will do, when I get the cash together ;-)
  11. Thanks for the feedback folks, no doubting that they are good quality, just need to make sure I get correct springs for the vrs
  12. Looking to fit new springs and shocks to my octy vrs and wanting to keep standard ride height. Went to GSF today and got a quote on Bilstein b4 shocks and Lesjofor springs which comes to a total of £ 392 inc vat. Ive never heard of Lesjofor before but the chap at GSF said they were a well established and quality make (well I suppose he would do) I already know the bilsteins will be good, but just not sure about the springs. Anyone bought or heard of Lesjofor before?
  13. Does it have a hi flow cat fitted or Dr car pipe?
  14. Did you have to get a custom silicon pipe to connect the turbo outlet to the metal pipe?
  15. Your best bet is to get a Haynes book of lies, I had central locking woes a while back and it proved to be very useful. You may have to get one off ebay now though.
  16. Looking into fitting all the BAM engine Boost pipes from the turbo through to the inlet manifold, as I want to fit a single pass fmic. Was wondering if the boost outlet on the k03s turbo is the same diameter as the outlet on the k04?
  17. Interested but wouldnt be in a position to buy till start of next month :-( always the way!
  18. Will have it off you for £50 mate and can pick up if it hasnt been sold already. Im located just west of oxford so would probably take around 1 1/2 hours to get to you.
  19. Looks like this one is solved, I have bypassed the damaged wire from fuse 38, and spliced into another wire (Red with yellow stripe) which I know is good, located in the drivers side sill. Central locking now fully working, along with the fuel filler cap release and heated mirrors. Didn't find the cause of the high impedance but I imagine that would involve ripping out all the wiring looms in the dashboard. Big thank you to all who posted up wiring diagrams and gave advice
