Hardly surprising seeing as Skoda don't make windscreens themselves, the 'aftermarket' windscreens will be made by the same companies that supply Skoda OEM windscreens, but with a different badge on them, and probably somewhat cheaper - that Skoda logo costs a lot of money!

I have a 2022 Superb so 3 1/2 years old now, 132k on the clock, and on its 4th windscreen - I think its just bad luck, although not helped that I do a lot of motorway miles so anything that hits it hits hard.

Personally I don't think the mileage is anything to be worried about, neither is the long life servicing, but I would look into the potential clutch issues on some 1.0 TSI models with the manual gearbox https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/493951-help-69-plate-10-tsi-se-manual-clutch-gone-after-2721-miles/ If it's Skoda approved used you get 12 months warranty so nothing to worry about there.

I wouldn't say you were misguided but maybe you 'assumed' how haldex equipped vehicles worked. AWD (all wheel drive) is not the same as 4WD (four wheel drive), and moving on from there to the next step we're in diff lock territory where you can get front/centre/rear (or as a combination of all three) as well as electronic diff lock (EDF is not really diff lock in the true sense) and mechanical diff lock. Also a lot of owners don't realise their haldex unit needs regular servicing to keep it working properly otherwise it's 2wd only! Either way it's good you like your Skoda Kodiaq vehicles.

I'm with the above opinions of get it done only if it needs doing. The wife's Octavia is 9 years old with 55k on the clock and has never been re-gassed, my Superb is 3 1/2 years old with 130k on it and also never been re-gassed, and on both cars the aircon is working great as has been shown in the recent heatwave temperatures of this past week.

If you check the MOT history the very first MOT shows the car failed as both front tyres were worn right through to the ply/cords which in my mind is not a sign of a well looked after and cared for car, think carefully before deciding what is best for you, personally I would reject it and look for another well looked after car, there are plenty out there, take your time and the right car will turn up for you.

You may well be correct, there have been slight differences in the wording, and for the last two days I have had no notifications, so perhaps I am at last up to date. I haven't noticed anything different on the main screen, but perhaps it's a functional difference, and not obviously noticeable to the end user. I'll keep a look out for further notifications.

I had a similar thing with mine where sometimes it would work and sometimes not. Took it to the dealer who found the radar had become dislodged from the bracket, it was pushed back in and all worked well again (not sure if the dealer re-calibrated it or not). The plastic bracket the radar unit mounts into has been known to snap requiring a new bracket, and also dirt can build up behind the front cover and the radar unit itself giving a warning message.
