I've tried using bog standard 95 and get about 320 miles, add EcoMax to 95 and range goes up to 335-340. A standard 97 will give me about 360 add EcoMax and it goes upto 370-380. So imagine my surprise when putting E10 in I saw 420! 🤔

I try to use JS SUL (97) with a 50ml shot of EcoMax which if correct makes it 99 octane. Might try adding EcoMax to E10 and see what range I get on the VC.

So a price hike on the sly.

There has been a change AGAIN in number plate legislation. So be careful out there!

Well it's taken 10 miles off now, but that's not entirely surprising as I drove 9.

Now two questions. 1. What module does this go into as I can get my hands on OBD11, so that I can check for any adaptations. 2. Would the wiring loom be covered under the warranty or what's left of it? Tia.

I'm just outside Guildford and I keep getting Oil sensor faulty - Take to workshop appearing on my VC. They've replaced the sensor 5 times and the cable. So it must be in the ECU, which they say they've reset to factory default. But the fault has returned again. What's odd is there appears to be a correlation between the fault appearing and external temperature being between 21.5° and 23.5°C. If it's cooler it very rarely appears and hotter again rarely appears.

Filled up with E10 bog standard unleaded (no EcoMax added) from Shell, after getting a whopping 416 miles out of a tank of Super Unleaded with EcoMax in. Had 30 miles range when I refuelled and got this on the range display! (And yes the 🤬 oil sensor is kaput again hence the yellow oil can.)

As some of you know this is an ongoing issue with my car. Would anyone be able to help me with a scan to see what the he'll is wrong with my car and if they can correct it with their VCDS knowledge, because Garlands can't seem to correct it. Many thanks Warren aka The Wanderer.

I used the Czech one some time ago for rubber mats which were substantially cheaper than buying in the UK at the time. IIRC it was something like £20+ cheaper for a full set and that was with the cost of delivering them. Of course we were still in the EU then. Now it will be different and might be difficult too, as foreign companies don't particularly like sending stuff to the UK anymore due to the red tape!

DCC & ACC are musts for driving down to the West, Heated Windscreen is a must living out in sticks for icy days. I agree wholeheartedly that when you're paying serious money for a car it should work faultlessly, mine has started playing up again. Now thinking about BMW instead.

I would most certainly specify DCC due to the increasingly bad road surfaces around the UK. Makes a bad road seem half decent. Canton is overpriced and not a very good addition to have.

I'm wondering as a prospective owner whether some of the options are the root cause of these issues. However the constant list of the same issues is seriously putting me off buying one (RS).

Not Normally. 11 miles a day maybe a tad more. Always use SUL on long distance journeys. I'll use SUL on a trip to Nottingham and Warwick in two weeks time. It'll be JS SUL which I can pick-up just before I join the A3 for M25. See if it makes any difference to Tesco 99.

So that would explain the 375 miles of range. Because of the last fuelling was with standard UL and EcoMax I filled up with Momentum 99, so I probably had 100 octane in the tank. Be interesting to see how far I can push it before bottling out.

Got a big bottle of it so 10x50ml shots, not interested in single shot bottles. Like I said quite happy with it, if I get decent extra out of a tank full and with shift working it's not always easy to get fuel at 2-3am, so fuelling has to be done as and when and it means that I don't always have a choice of where I can get it and at a cheapest price.

Still showing up as 185 miles left for that last fuelling that's good because it will mean that I won't have to fuel up again for about another 7-10 days, that will mean it will have lasted the best part of 3 weeks.
