How to update swing radio….
If your swing is similar to the early version I have, the station logos are loaded individually from SD card: Station logos The station key of a preferred station can contain the name and the station logo. Assign a station logo › Tap on the Radio function surface → Station logos. › Tap on an occupied station button and select the data carrier (SD card, USB). › Search for and select the desired station logo on the respective data carrier. Remove station logo › Tap on the Radio function surface → Station logos. › Tap on the station button from which you want to remove a logo. › or: Tap on the function All to delete the logos of all the station buttons simultaneously. › Confirm / cancel the removal. It's slow and tedious process. Attached is an old UK specific file. You can probably download a current file here: How to add radio station logos to your VW or Skoda radio (media.info) or even VW or Skoda may have them somewhere. GBR_20200331.zip

Seat Swab
If your Fabia is 2010 it will be a Fabia 2, which might alter things a bit. Also, what version is it? (S/SE/SEL/laurin and klement). The better trimmed ones may have fatter cushions than the basic ones. Thirdly, as it is an estate, is the squab located properly? I think the back wire of the squab is prone to getting tucked over the ISO-fix bracket, rather than under, when the squab is re-seated after having the rear seats fully folded forwards, and the squab doesn't sit properly there. It certainly happens on our Fabia3, and I think it used to be an issue on the Mk2's we had. Regards, John H

Fabia MK3 minor crash fuel cutoff? or ECU?
It may be worth checking the under bonnet fuses, and the supply to that fuse box. Picture below is from the handbook for a Fabia 2015 Mk3

Key fob replacement
I don't know the answer to your question regarding key in the Salford area, but I hope the cost of another key was allowed for the price of the car. A quick forum search shows the dealer cost to be somewhere in the order of £380 It is likely you could get a "key" mechanically cut to fit the lock outside the dealer network. However, coding the car to recognize the transponder(?) in the newly cut key and removing the entry for the "lost" key is another issue entirely. I'd wait for someone who has been and done it recently to post - I haven't . See See also

Fabia ABS System
I suspect that binding rear brakes may be confusing your "ABS" unit. IE an indicated skid or under rotation of one or both rear wheels on muddy/slippy surfaces. Out of interest, what is an emergency stop like on a proper dry grippy road surface like?

Auto start system
If the SEL display is anything like the SE, there is most of a circle with an arrow head on the end, and A in the middle in the right-hand side of the main display. when there is a diagonal line through the A, the engine will not automatically stop/start. there is a button (in the centre crop of buttons) with the same graphic on it (with OFF below), press it after each start of the engine if you don't want stop/start to happen on that drive. Comments above about the state of the battery are spot on, however, even with a new battery the car still needs to be driven a bit on a regular basis for stop start to work

Throttle Body options
These people: www.bba-reman.com/ re-manufacture all kinds of car parts. They do throttle bodies, although I can't see any mentioned for Fabia, it might well be worth a phone call. I have no association with them, but remembered them from years ago, in my "FIAT" days.

Rear suspension
My pictures aren't ideally framed for comparison purposes, but the best I could manage. As yours is about 3 years older than mine there's a bit more rust, and I expect the bushes are more worn too. But as to what is "normal", draw your own conclusions.

skimped on the PDI on your new one. Begs the question - what else did they not do?

Let me try again. The button to the right of the centre at the bottom of the display toggles the display from "station logos" to "text" on both the FM display and the DAB display. Quite why I can see the text scrolling in the FM logo display but nothing in the DAB logo display is up for grabs. But that's how it is in my 2017 "Swing". Also, regarding station logos, you can put in pretty much what you want, provided the file isn't too big. I used 160 pixel wide by 120 pixel high .png to match the provided files. See the deliberately fuzzy, bleached out picture DAB1. P.S. The SD card slot works on this Swing, and there is no card slot in the glove box (unlike our Fabia).

@Harnser it's possible your 2017 Fabia has a "Swing" infotainment (6 buttons), rather than "Bolero" (8 buttons) as the earlier SE's have. Having just had a play on my "Swing"🤪 (in my 2017 Rapid) and also the "Bolero" in our 2015 Fabia, the swing is a bit lacking: The swing will show text on the FM service while the station logos are on the display, but not on DAB. There is an icon on the bottom just right of centre on the DAB display which looks a bit like a radio - press that and you get a display with the text in it. (see the incredibly dusty swing picture attached).

I bow to your knowledge, and can't find a suitable emoji

Drivers door barrel
I might be wrong, but, I think the door obstructing the bonnet pull is deliberate design. Take your pick - stops you accidentally opening the bonnet a bit while storming along the autobahn, or makes it awkward for an undesirable to get under the bonnet while the car is locked.

There is the possibility that Skoda listened to the customers, and actually did something... "My battery is flat - I use the key in the only place it would open the car and I can't open the bonnet, which I need to do to charge the battery, because the passenger door is still locked shut, and it was designed to stop you opening the bonnet if the door is shut." So what do Skoda do?, ignore it, or modify loads of bits of plastic moldings and stuff to put the bonnet opening on the other side of the car, or leave the lock barrel on the same side for LHD and RHD cars. (Yes, I know you can bend the arm enough to open the bonnet - I have had to do it - but it's not something I'd like to do again.)

Tweaks to Key operation
The business with Mk2-3 is probably the naming back then - as I recall there were Mk2's (? or was it Mk1's?) and the versions were 1, 2 and 3. Sort of equivalent to S, SE, and SEL
