  1. Have a look at your oil filter housing it should say what type of filter you have
  2. R tech are probably one of the best tfsi tuners out there you won't regret choosing them

Hi guys another issue with my octavia vrs Pd170 at around 2.5k on the revs till 3k is feels like its holding back then after 3k it flies as normal doest do it all the time but can catch me out Does this turbo suffer from sticky vanes as my older 1.9pd had this quick squirt with Mr muscle sorted it but unsure if this turbo can be cleaned in this way?? If it's not this what else could it be? Cheers Brad
  4. Egr coolers are known for leaking and burning the coolant so no traces of leaks could be a option , also cracked heads are an issue too :(
  5. Yep and me but I fitted new one and all was fine then old one must of taken some crap in threw the pick up like I said I was unlucky with my engine so ripped it out lol
  6. Hi guys iv found a really good deal on front springs for my vrs tdi but the springs are for the tfsi vrs both are mk2 would they springs be the same or not tried looking online at the catalogs but one place says both same other place says different :( anyone got a defiant answer ?

  10. What engine do you have as that’s the wrong one for the bmn 2.0 tdi . Ps don’t buy cheep local parts place thermostats buy genuine it will last longer and be built to a much better quality
  11. If it had been stood for years then possibly but it would of started to burn oil right away, have you had the sump off at all ? Could of broken a ring plus you can look up into The bores with the sump off see any whiteness marks
  12. That’s blue smoke to me defiantly oil :( unusual to see rings go at the miles you have done
  13. If your turbo seals are tight id guess the ring option how many miles your engine done ? Could always do a compression test see if that helps with identifying witch bore is leaking
  14. White smoke is not normally oil it’s either diesel or water are you sure it’s burnin oil ? Also could be coolant burning threw a broken egr cooler, are you loosing any coolant ??
  15. What colour is the smoke , also can you smell it what does it smell off

Hi guys iv got a BMN engine I’m breaking with bottom end issues all parts available revision c head minus injectors glow plugs cam belt cover and head cover head was skimmed and pressure checked last year with new lifters fitted too £200 4x injectors part number is 03g 130 073T would advise you fit new seals before fitting does not come with bolts are these are single use bolts £300 complete egr cooler set up non leaking £45 bkd inlet manifold brought to convert my bmn engine but iv lost the bolts so you would have to get these your self £40 bosch vacuum pump 03g 145 209 c good condition and comes with gasket too recently fitted £40 turbo oil return pipe was brought new not long ago 03g 145 535 f £25 almost new thermostat and housing 03g 121 121 D £25 Almost new coolant flange and sensor 03g 121 132 B £20 bmn oil pump replaced to find out it’s not the issue so I have 2 of these one 2 weeks old and much older one £15 and £30 Prices are plus postage but all but all prices are Ono collection is preferred from b98 post code
  20. Iv just messegd these guys regarding my knackard ppd tdi turbo so it’s nice to no they have a fan on hear already
  21. Hear a quick video of engine running you can clearly see how little oil is getting to the head And hear how knackard the turbo is lol

Guys iv got a real knackard turbo on my ppd 170 vrs , silly question but this wouldn’t stop oil from getting to the cams etc would it , as I have very little oil getting to the top of my head, but iv got a solid 5bar of oil pressure at 2000 rpm with the engine warm, not sure how else the head would not get oil if the the pressure is there

No fault codes whatso ever on the car the cocky rac said it would have them I said it didn’t so I won lol got it recovered home and played about yesterday buy un plugging injector 3or 4 it would start so put it all back together and now it works so I think possible injector loom issue but I need to sort out oil pump issue 1st as while it was apart I ran the engine with no cover on and very little oil is getting to the front cam back cam is fine but front cam I think is being starved :(
  25. Guys can some one with a ppd170 vrs go and check your oil level with vcds for me please as I think after doing the bkd inlet swap I’m not 100% sure iv got the dip stick location right and I think it’s reading low if your able to do this would be great help thanks
