  1. Key Aspects of the 1.6 AEE Engine Valve System: Valve Clearance: Self-adjusting (Hydraulic lifters). Engine Design: 4-cylinder, 8-valve, Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC). Maintenance: If tapping noise occurs, check for worn lifters, low oil pressure, or blocked oilways. If the engine is noisy, it is likely a faulty hydraulic lifter needing replacement rather than manual clearance adjustment.
  2. You can buy a set of used ones from a donor car, check for corrosion signs and clean them. Nevertheless can not be abused since they are not a plug-unplug often item. Connectors can be found in ebay, each oart number is available in ETKA. You can buy aftermarket colour cables from a shop and you or a friend of your can do the welding job, thus you will hava an almost brand new harness. πŸ™‚

  6. So it's ''safer'' the inside the cabin-continious opened spray-air recycle ON and wait till all the content of the spray circulated method?
  7. Oh no, so since a ''dedicated'' a/c spary can do some damage what are our options?
  8. What do you see? it's missing from many Felicia. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR4O-1arEBcXIzphWIvGjNtU_uD92TcBgHwRw&s Including mine because after few years every small bumper hit will make it pop out sometimes drop down in the street, that's why many Felicias here haven't it on. The 2 clips in the bottom after few clip-unclip are prone to brake or bent. If you find a used one in the same colour and glue it you can not remove it in case you want to tow someone else, if you go to a repair-shop can stitch it from in the back with some Ξ  style upholstery nails but also in case like above you can not remove it. As i see it and since you want to be removable 2 layers of Tesa strong self-adhesive tape in the back of the bumper is the best solution, will keep it steady till you need it one day.
  9. Except the notice from the label about metal corrosion i also found this notification from another user: ''Do not use on non-stainless steel, aluminum, silver, or chipped enamel''.
  10. Οh my God,thank you for the notice! Even a small amount od Dettol insise the air vent (interior) can hurt something else e.g. plastics?
  11. 80 'C has the sauna. I have measured 47 'C in mine (the car was outside under the hot summer sun) and till i open both windows and start rolling the car the situation was awful.
  12. This is not good, will take from the engine precious temperature that it needs to reach the level to work properly. The 80 'C is for Middle East, in our countries at Winter the heat will take lot of time to be ready for the cabin, the sensor will pass that info to the ECU and the ratio fuel-air would be richer.
  13. I have to admit that the ''pharmaceutical'' smell of Dettol is present for the next days and that was not very pleasant. Although the Orchard Blossom is more pleasant. On the other hand in Arabia were the use of a/c is a ''must" https://www.dettolarabia.com/common-infections/home-hygiene/how-to-clean-an-air-conditioner/ 😎
  14. Since we have hot climate here and to prevent head gasket failure (overheat) i have installed a 80-85 'C. So no excessive air (bubbles) inside your system. As for head gasket test: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/head gasket test
  15. I have bought from it in the past. Too high shipping rate (3 courier only) so for an item that costs 2 euro the courier charges is at least 9€ so it's not convenient.
  16. Ξ₯our thermoswitch is new or old? Temperature range? Mine now is 80-85 'C although i have tested 75-80 'C, 85-90 'C and 87-92 'C
  17. Even AutodΞΏc.gr gives the M14x1,5 https://www.autodoc.gr/exartimata-aftokiniton/bidote-tapa-karter-ladiou-15038/skoda/felicia Another shop https://carshop.com.gr/tapa-karter-ladiou-swag-32915374-audi-vw-seat-skoda-m14x1-5.html SKODA 32915374 N 908 132 02 This is outrageous !
  18. Ξ™t's from another VAG part store site which gives for Felicia only M15x1,5 oil drain plugs. I wonder how many other driver's ordered and paid for a wrong item like me?
  19. I will but it's difficult, i had to lift the car in a jack in a repair-shop. https://www.getparts.gr/skoda-felicia-1998-2001-1300cc-68ps-1998-2001/tapa-karter https://www.maxxparts.gr/antallaktika-aytokiniton/tapa-karter-100491/skoda/felicia-ii-6u1/1-3-AMH-68hp Everyone gives m14x1,5 except the CZ store which in the right guy. Unfortunately i was not in my usual repair-shop, there the mechanic could wait to take the old as an example and go to a parts store to take the same. Now i have to wait for 7.000 Km to make the change and put a new one because the original is abused.
  20. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/501898-rust-beneath-my-crankshaft-sensor-is-it-normal/ Speaking by my experience: when you mess with crank sensor the ECU holds is as a fault, then the car may not start properly of may turn off in the middle of the road. You need to reset the ECU and let it idle for a while before take it out in the road. Even in the original e.g. when you remove one contact it will hold it in the memory, here is a list of them but no matter what an ECU reset for me is a must. 21. This is madness ! https://www.trodo.com/oil-drain-plug/skoda-felicia-i-6u1-1-3-50kw-19838-cid This is the correct for my car: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/n0161632-oil-drain-plug-m22x1-5-czech-republic-oe-producer-11333.html N 016 163 2 22x1,5 🀬
  22. I went for the engine oil change, all the effort and expenses to have a magnetic drain plug was a The thread didn't fit was much smaller so i had to installa back the old one (the copper washer was in good condition). I'm very angry, i lost time and money and the damned parts store site insisted that the thread is 14x1.5. https://kritosparts.gr/SKODA-FELICIA-II-(6U1)-01-98-06-01-1.3-AMH-(68hp)-01-98-06-01/Tapa-karter-ladiou/m106_a4075_t11193_r593_v2 The original was much shorter in height from that that i provide to the ''oil change'' guy and as i was i had no time to go to a parts store.
