Felicia has VDO (German) gauges but i never trusted 100% because takes commands from the coolant sensor, in the past the needle was going up-down from the 90 'C line and made me crazy till i find the reason. Some detritus in the bottom of that sensor, wipe is and voila, the needle move return to normal. HEPU G12 (P999) is in my hands now, i have work to do the next days.

I am working mainly in 98 RON those days, in purpose for test. Not from any brand or gas station but from a specific (i know it for 30 years) BP which belongs to a network and it's Corporate, not Private (which can change brand after few years). BP Super Unleaded from that gas station has been tested in City traffic-Highway-Mountain roads, more on this in a future topic because i haven't finished all the tests yet, i had to make a summer trip and there is another test that i want to do in winter but i am very optimistic. I have worked with other brands in 95 and with Shell (98 and 100) but i never get the same results. I have succeed 5.4 ltr/100 Km or 52.31 Uk MPG but in Highway, my car is heavier than the stock (noise insulation plus 2 bags with all the necessary stuff permanently in the trunk)

I post in other topic that i drove 41 Km distance, City traffic, about 20 Km Highway, 2 Km Mountain Roads and the rest City traffic till i come home. This wasn't for Fuel Consumption but for the Radiator flush circulation but i grab the chance to measure it. Total (Σ symbol) 8.8 ltr gasoline for 91.9 Km which means 9.57 ltr/100 Km or 29.52 Uk MPG I can't wait to see the results with the new coolant (G12) after the system has been cleaned with the radiator Flush, due to the high summer temperatures here another test for 30-40 Km distance would be difficult but for sure i will see the difference in the summer trip in few weeks. It's obvious that the work inside the air filter box worth it, the results after 200 Km distance tests in various conditions are excellent and i blame myself because i didn't have done this all these years.

Another test is finished this afternoon, i did it in purpose because i wanted to circulate the Radiator Flush in the whole system, for few minutes i opened the heat although the external temperature was high. I drove 41 Km distance, City traffic, about 20 Km Highway, 2 Km Mountain Roads and the rest City traffic till i come home. I ''own'' a photo to @nta16 for the coolant temperature, what the cluster gauge shows (before thermostat) and what the aftermarket gauge shows (between the radiator and the expansion tank). There is a 4 'C difference in indications.

HEPU G12, i see no problem with 40% percentage. -25 'C in GR is a ''never going to happen'' especially in an island.

I have post it many times, the ABS + airbag were sold as ''package'' back in 2000 and the cost was 700 euro if i remember correct. I didn't had the money so i didn't add that ''package'' in my order list. What's the problem with 40% percentage?

Yes and i do this in purpose because i am Bad and i like it. Motul says 33% and i had 25% for some years, now i will go till 40% but unfortunately the Winter is gone together with his cold starts. Let's see how that percentage works in hot Summer days here. @Breezy_Pete No problem from me, some times that's the GR way on forum conversation.

I have no ABS and airbag edition, the factory steering wheel is for granny driving style. The HEPU G12 arrived today.

I asked one of the most famous drivers here in GR, he had racing with every Skoda model and had a full modified Felicia for road use. He convinced me about the use of G12 and since i had G11 for 24 years i think it's time for a change and test. I will raise the antifreeze concentration to about 30 or maximun 40% (i don't nedd a 50%, GR is not Siberia).

You have advise me: no 10W-40 oil,no cheap wiper blade motor, to don't put an ECU ship, no Koni shock absorbers, no Apex lowering springs, no buckets, no headers and the rest of exhaust, no K&N filter, no modify my air filter box, no 3 point harness seat belt, no racing brake fluid, no tinted windows, not cut my engine cover, no Led bulbs, no modify the incoming air filter hose, no G12, no hood scoop to protect my sponge filter, no HID fog light bulbs, no body insulation, no quick shift, no sport steering wheel...did i forgot something?

Nah, after of what happened to my expansion tank no more risks especially in chemistry. I don't know any other Felicia with G13 except yours, no experience for the compatibility, long term use etc.

First impressions: i left the car to the repair shop, later the mechanic said that immediately the additive start to make something like "chemical reaction" and after few hundred meters (to get the coolant hot) saw some dark spots on the expansion tank (now has distilled water and the additive which also has clear colour). So there is still some muck left inside the system, i will know more in the next days because due to hot weather i took my motorcycle to go to work.

I don't wanna mess with the heater core especially when it's positioned in such an awkward place. When i finish with this project i will replace the coolant expansion tank and i will take photos from inside, no i will not cut it as the previous because it's a job that will create lot of detritus in my balcony.

Yes but the car was cold, the flap must be closed but as @Papez has said in the past that flap may times get's stuck in one position because the wax that used as a ''thermostat" has a leak. From another car, take a look the inclination of the air filter box and ho much space that tubes covers. On the other hand i have seen dozens of videos with guys making holes beneath the factory box only because the sound would be ''better", more ''roaaar", i not interested for that kind of things.

I drain the old coolant while was still hot ,i did in purpose so the hot coolant would circulate inside the heater core. I added the product with distilled water only, i will do at least 30Km distance, drain, i will add distilled water only, drain and then the G12 plus distilled water.

@Thefeliciahacker Why you asking me thing that you already know? I make 2 tests to see compared to last year (almost same period) the Fuel Consumption, no a/c then so in purpose no a/c now. I have found from another Felicia the stock air filter box. Inside the mechanism is stuck, the flap is semi-open so the car takes some hot air inside the throttle even when does not need it for exampel Highway. I have never regret that i have removed it.

Here are the results from the first test, home-work-home, no boulevard no Highway just plain City traffic with traffic lights etc in average 20 Km speed. As you can see i just parked my car and i took the photos. Average: 10.7 ltr per 100 km Total: 2.5 ltr for 24.4 Km so 10.24 ltr or 27.59 Uk MPG. As you can see the results are no matching and i have explained why, nevertheless they showing that the FC had dropped dramatically compared to the one from previous year (same season) and they are the best for an at least 5 years period. My car AT LAST is getting improved, if i didn't had those 2 bags in the trunk plus the weight from the insulation the results for sure would be better but i am happy with what i have. I wish i could do another test but i have the ''G12 project" in my mind and i don't think i have the time for another one with the existing G11.

For sure, i don't believe the "work in idle for 10 min" which some labels say. Wynn's.

These began from the 80's, you were unborn and you remain at least for 20 years. Those years the "bumpers" where made from polyesters and wire for chicken coop fence, ask your father to tell you how they looked. Mine is stock.
