Koni Street rebuild.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanYou may have vision issues, that's why you are writing with big bold red letters. Don't worry, the other topic was deleted or will compleately modified, since we ''solve things" in another 2 topic you can write anything you want because i will not see it. I wonder why i haven't see you in the other 2 Skoda forums in GR, now i know the reason, you couldn't stay there more than a week. Keep your pordoyaba, we here buy Koni for 2 reasons, they are good quality and have A' class repair service, drivers with tons of practical experience and pros recommend them.

Engine bay surprises
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI have found in my photos archive another unpleasant ''Engine bay'' surprise. Sloppy work from a mechanic in thermostat, the screws and the use of gasket glue, after some years i noticed the Coolant level went 2cm down and in purpose i asked for a ''pressing test'' and the new mechanic found a small leak. Was from below, not obvious at first glance or as you look at it from above.

Koni Street rebuild.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThese are for the books of your school. You have not working experience and you can't confront Koni which makes friction type shock absorbers since 1932. You have installed a Paparoyaba suspension (i don't remember the brand correctly) and with your ''balloon'' 75 tyre height you think you have achieve something great. No matter if you agree or not Koni offers A' class suspension service for their products and many drivers around the World are happy with them and enjoy Sport style driving. Although was well known between mechanics before this year, since 2005 where the Auto-forum began in Greece many drivers discuss in public about Rebuild work and how successful can be done in their Official Center with original Koni parts. Never regret that i installed Koni shock absorbers and 30mm lowering springs. 🏁

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI wasn't referring to an Engineer. Koni entered Rally in 1955 and in Formula 1 in 1956, so all these decades the head of the workforce what are? Street sweepers, house painters, farmers, banana transporters?

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanSTR.T Kit The result of a technological partnership The STR.T Kit from KONI comprises KONI STR.T. shock absorbers and custom-made lowering springs from the company H&R. Both companies can look back on many years of experience in motor racing, such as in Formula 1 or the DTM. The advantages for the customer are obvious. The experience gained along with the technological developments flow directly into the companies' product development. KONI's STR.T. shock absorbers stand for perfect road holding, optimum handling and breathtaking centrifugal force. Thanks to the extremely high reaction speeds of the shock absorbers drivers can totally rely on their equipment even in precarious or demanding situations. As a result of the symbiosis between H&R's lowering springs and KONI's STR.T shocks into the STR.T Kit tuners receive a suspension kit from the factory perfectly balanced to suit their vehicle. Unpleasant pitch and rolling movements are thus reduced to a minimum. Depending on vehicle make a lowering up to 40 mm is offered. This means that nothing now stands in the way of high speed drives on curving roads and the ultimate driving pleasure. FEATURES Perfectly tuned chassis / 100% performance Excellent handling Lowering up to 40 mm with H&R springs Perfect match 100% streetlegal https://www.amortiseronline.gr/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Koni-strt-amortiser-set-3.jpg Koni Street with Lowering spings, exactly what i have and for the task that i want. D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanNodody (2 independent mechanics, the Koni official service with 30+ years of experience in suspensions, ALL the MOT inspection officials) have found nothing, only ONE found and from a distance via divination abilities. Paradoxically the same who claimed that my car has lost power and torque too due to upgrades, but it turned out that not only did not (has both better than his) plus has lower consumption. At 0:46 says "Perfect OE replacement for spirited driving" https://www.koni.com/en-US/Cars/Products/Sport-Tuning/STR-T-Kit/ Koni gives it with lowering springs (as i have).

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThat suspension was on the Skoda catalogue, you could order them in local Skoda dealer here in Greece but: Who's going to repair that suspension after some years? From where he would buy spare parts? D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThis topic is about Koni rebuild and not about the "fantastic performance" of Stock yours, if you don't like Koni and 30mm lowering springs don't install them, who cares anyway?

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
Take your car with 20W-50 ''old tractor sound" oil then, attached a accessoire like this https://agraria.gr/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Φρέζα-–-Καλλιεργητής.jpg or this https://cdn7.regie-agricole.com/l86112968-1/zagroda-wiesenegge-8m.jpg and make it more useful, that's it's meant to be used by you.

Koni Street rebuild.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanNo need to write with big bold letters or greater size to attract attention. Read AGAIN my previous post, the MOT test was with Koni suspension 21 years old (i write it again 21) and not 8 as yours. Your suspension is for driving style from town to town n country in highway like my father which is 87 years old.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
If you have in your gas tank good gasoline but only few litres only and someone drops many litres gadoline with water when you start the car "instantly" the engine will start "cough"? No, it will burn first the good gasoline in the lines and then the problems will start. I have posted the MOT results for brakes-suspension and your "sticky" show up immediately (collusion). Since you used twice the word "dare" ,tomorrow morning you will see my fuel consumption numbers and later at night the emission ones, would these enough for you?

Me too in this.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
Stock car, he drives slowly, no rev up more than 3500, no Sport driving in Mountain Roads, no more speed than 120 km in Highway. I was driving this way (in purpose) only till i reach the ''break-in'' (or ''bedding'' if i rememeber correct) period Km limit as the car was New and went for thw 1st service in the official delaer's repair-shop. When you change engine oil, coolant, transmission oil etc does not remain something inside? Have you the capability to drain 100% the previous? NO.

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanHere are the indications from the MOT. Keep in mind that the suspension was not in perfect condition, was before the rebuild so the results are not ideal. BRAKES Axis 1: 05.41 Axis 2: 12.00 Performance total: 62.58 Parking brake: 16.12 SHOCK ABSORBERS Axis 1: -0.5 ,Left 85% , Right 85% ,Difference 00.00 Axis 2: (nothing) ,Left 84% , Right 77% , Difference 08.33 After the Koni rebuild an alignement was done before the car exits the repair shop, no weird sounds from suspension-steering at the Mountain Roads, nothing suspicious in the behaviour while turning many times in high rpm.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
They misinformed me on the one hand and scared me on the other. It turned out that 15W-50 Mineral was a complete failure ! When i put 10W-40 Synthetic and drove several kilometers to "burn" what was left of the old oil, then the motor changed its behavior. The sound at idle, how quickly the engine warms up from a cold start and fuel consumption are important for me, if these are are not for 1-2 guys...i just don't care. The ENEOS, although at high revs it was not like the Amsoil, on the other hand achieved a fuel consumption record and I have many photos as proof. Why don't you use 20W-60?
-
Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
WooHoo. 🤩 The ENEOS 10W-40 sounds like a real Synthetic oil, no vibrations and no ''old tractor-cement mixer'' sound in idle. PLUS in National Highway and in Mountain Roads broke all the fuel consumption records or previous oils (of course i didn't take measures from the miserable-useless 15W-50), photos soon.

Koni Street rebuild.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanNor the MOT tester, nor 2 mechanics that made a check, even the official Koni service have found anything. I don't hear or feel anything wrong. @Thefeliciahacker in the backyard is lifting the car and squeezes homself beneath it to check everything so says he knows better and i have a problem. Tomorrow i will post the MOT results, he can read and understand better the indications.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
The 5W-40 was before the 15W-50 and now i have 10W-40 Synthetic. With this i beat my record in fuel consumption and coolant temperature and i have many photos to prove it. The oil pressure gauge is removed many years ago, i still have the custom adaptor but i don't know if i will buy another 52mm gauge since the majority are chinese made.
-
Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
Not in this life 15W-50 again from me. By the way the Cold Starts with ENEOS changed,oh yes, no more "old tractor noise", i will post new video soon plus photos from fuel consumption.
-
Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
I will look further for Mannol Classic 10W-40.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
We work with what we have and we will keep doing it as long as we have it. Are you sure that all the supercar owners search things as we do here or leave everything in the service at the hands of the employees (and pay a fortune even for a simple thing) ? The secular exchange of opinions (Hahas style excluded) was the basis of the Agora then in ancient Greece and of the forum now with the Internet. By the way what brand-viscosity engine oil are you using?

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanMuch stiffer-more lower spring with (Koni) shock absorber in not so good condition means more burden in the system. Lowering spring with OE shock absorber = disaster.
