  1. It seems that MIB2 Amundsen data has been uploaded to the Skoda server. Download link for EU1 Download link for EU2 As before, EU is divided into 2 parts. Probably as in the picture. Untested, somebody pls. confirm that it works.
  2. This is the hungarian version at the moment. They always mess up the dates right before the new version comes out. I wonder why?
  3. The sensor detects your body even through clothes. Are you sure you haven't touched the handle with your leg, etc.? When my hands are full of bags, etc.I use my knee to lock the car. Works perfectly with jeans.
  4. I guess you haven't seen my video. The old sock is still in place and does a great job. And it has a perfect color. I was too lazy to put some wiring loom tape (fabric tape) there. Probably would look better.
  5. I've just got a comment on my youtube video: i have also an Skoda Octavia 3 Combi from end of 2014, 2.0l diesel and i have the same noise as you have. In my case it appeared last year in december when i had 60k. Since then i was to several Skoda and VW services in 2 different countries. Initially nobody knew what do to and where the sound is coming from. I even made a similar film as you posted here and send it to Skoda in Czech Republic. After some months i received an email that the problem is confirmed by them and the noise is coming from the vaccum - oil pump which is a DUO pump for the 2.0 engines. It seems that the rotor is outside tollerance and this is why its doing this noise when the engine is cold. After the water/ engine temperature increases (around 60 deg) the noise is gone... according to Skoda this is perfectly normal and the engine runs as it should. In other words, as too many engines are being affected by this problem they refuse to do something.
  6. Front dome lights: Rears (much easier with two hands ):
  7. I followed xpower's guide when I had to remove mine. It's not that difficult just a little time consuming. Get a mini ratchet otherwise it's almost impossible to remove the small torx screws behind the headlight. Thank you Skoda...
  8. So, our russian friends already published the link for MIB1/MIB2 Columbus: link And I managed to figure out (again) the link for MIB1 Amundsen: link No news about MIB2 Amundsen yet. MIB1 Amundsen tested and works.
  9. Yep, there's a menu item after coding, this is the screen of my MIB1 Amundsen:
  10. VCDS trick works on my MIB1 Amundsen.
  11. My colleague locked out himself exactly the same way...with his 1-year-old baby inside...on a hot summer day...
  12. As a 'side effect' the steering wheel becomes heavier but I like it. When I use 'normal' setting (with the MODE button) it is somewhere between 'normal' and 'sport'. In 'sport' it's even heavier - this is my favourite setting.
  13. The same on my MY2014 2.0 TDI with DSG. But the other trick works well.
  14. I don’t know the correct phrase for it. Random metallic rattle? Does your noise change when you press or release the clutch pedal? I have only two pedals so I can’t try it. I am still wondering whether it is DMF noise or not.. Thanks god it’s a company car.
  15. As far as I know 'poor quality oil' means that your car was set to 15k oil change interval, nothing else. Don't worry about it. There's no oil quality sensor it's just counting the miles and days.
  16. Edit: noise DOES appear with cold engine. 2 new videos:
  17. I think I have something similar but mine is not so loud. I discovered it at 150k km (but who knows when did it start) while smoking a cigarette after work and the car was idling and warming up. Car has done additional 50k km (now at 200k km) since I made the video and it didn't get any worse. Mine is a 2.0 TDI with DSG. My first thought was the dual mass flywheel because the noise is very similar (I have some experience with my earlier Golf). Once the engine warms up the noise disappears. From memory (I am not 100% sure) the noise is not present when the engine is completely cold (below 20 degrees). So there's a temperature interval for this noise.
  18. I had the same issue with my earlier LED bulbs, so you are not the only one. From memory, only the left or right bulb did that flickering and not every time. The current ones are free from this phenomenon and they are extreme bright.
  19. The original Skoda card contains some hidden data and you can't copy that to another card. Don't worry about the original card, you can't destroy the secret data on it, you can safely delete or format it.
  20. No problems with mine after more than 150k km... Open a dispute if it's still possible and ask for a full refund. Also attach a short video about the problem. It can happen that the seller will try and ask you to stop the dispute (it's not good for us, blabla) but don't accept anything else than refund through AliExpress. Unfortunately if it's a bad seller, he will promise to send new bulbs but you'll probably receive nothing. A good seller will accept the dispute right away though. This is the safest way and always worked for me. You can tell them you'll order a new pair once you got your money back. Good luck
  21. My TDI burns 1.5-2 litres of oil between 30k services (just like my previous TDI's). It's a company car, I mostly drive on highway at (real) 145 km/h. And I am not gentle with the throttle pedal when overtaking, etc. When the car was new, I topped up almost 3 litres from 0-30k km. Perfectly normal with my driving style.
  22. One of my friend told me it was impossible to update his Columbus (MIB1, MY2014) from SD card/USB stick for some reason. Finally he used an USB HDD and it worked. May worth a try...
  23. No problems at all and I drive approx. 5000 km in every month!
  24. Just checked the rear clusters on my colleague's FL (also LHD). The small LEDs are visible on the left side but they are missing on the right side. The 'funny' thing is that the circuit board for the LEDs is also exist in the right cluster, I saw the solder pads for the LEDs). Bad news. :S
