  1. My colleague has a brand new 2.0 TSI 280 Superb with the same starting noise. Whatever VAG says it sounds really bad...especially for an expensive new car.
  2. Optional wire to send +12 V to the camera, from the headunit for example. I didn’t use it because mine is powered from the left reversing light.
  3. Both of my washers were replaced at 120k km service under warranty. Retracting problems started at 90k km. Silicone grease helped in the beginning but only temporarily. When I pulled them out I noticed that the plastic pistons were full of scratches (like a seized piston). When they not retracting fully the dirt comes in and destroys the plastic parts.
  4. Many thanks, your bulb look the same inside the arc tube.
  5. OK, thanks in advance. I am just curious. Actually there are two separate cloudy surfaces in front of each other. When the bulb is mounted these are on the top and bottom. On one side it's clean white (facing upwards) and the other is mixed with coloured dots (salt)? The colorful dots were visible earlier, but the milky surface is 'something new'. Both bulbs look the same.
  6. And this is how my bulbs look like now: video I haven't noticed the milky substance earlier. I am almost sure the inside of the arc tube looked different... Is this a sign of an 'old' bulb?
  7. One year (and 60k km) later the chinese 45w ballast are still working well with zero issues. I am still tempted to buy new bulbs (with higher K), especially because I have a feeling that the factory bulbs have started to shine weaker. 205k km on the clock, so no surprises.
  8. The same thing happened to me (MIB1 Amundsen) 3 times so far during 200k km. In 2 cases even a force reboot didn't solve the problem. The sound just came back 15-30 mins later. These headunits tend to do weird things sometimes, don't worry if it works again.
  9. Just found the coding in this document. You need a V2/Hex-Net cable to code the 4B module.
  10. It seems that the new VW site offers ROW maps as free download. Maybe you can try the Golf maps. Discover Media = Amundsen Discover Pro = Columbus http://webspecial.volkswagen.de/maps/int/en/index.html
  11. These channels are interesting in YMe's map (with HBA): ENG141650-MAS13782-Fernlicht_assistent-Will Beam assistant: responsivity adjustable via BAP present ENG141650-ENG141973-Fernlicht_assistent-Erweiterte_Fernlichtsteuerung AFS: FLA: Fernlicht ueber AFS ENG141650-ENG116639-Fernlicht_assistent-Fernlichtassistent Reset active ENG141650-ENG116637-Fernlicht_assistent-Menuesteuerung Fernlichtassistent present ENG141650-ENG116641-Fernlicht_assistent-Menuesteuerung Fernlichtassistent Werkseinstellung present This is from another O3 FL (probably with no HBA): ENG141650-MAS13782-Fernlicht_assistent-Will Beam assistant: responsivity adjustable via BAP present ENG141650-ENG141973-Fernlicht_assistent-Erweiterte_Fernlichtsteuerung AFS: Fernlicht ueber AFS ENG141650-ENG116639-Fernlicht_assistent-Fernlichtassistent Reset active ENG141650-ENG116637-Fernlicht_assistent-Menuesteuerung Fernlichtassistent Not Present ENG141650-ENG116641-Fernlicht_assistent-Menuesteuerung Fernlichtassistent Werkseinstellung Not Present I would change the 3 red marked channels for a start. Probably the camera module still needs coding afterwards. It seems that these are new channels in the FL.
  12. Hm, this is the 2017/2018 d/l link for O3 Columbus as well, as someone posted here. So probably the maps are the same for the Octavia and Kodiaq... I also found a working Skoda d/l link by increasing the version number and adding 2018 at the end: http://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/HIGH12_P166_EU_2018.zip There's some size difference between this (25.0 GB) and the VW (24.3 GB) maps in post #1. I guess they are the same inside, probably it's just different file compression.
  13. Yep, 'Lichthupe' is only for flashing. I think you'll need 'Fernlicht links/rechts' Check page 16 of this PDF.
  14. Just realised that yours is a pre-FL. Ignore what I wrote about the FL rear clusters. You can PM me an adaptation map and I can have a look.
  15. No, they are built-in and not accessible. We are talking about small SMD LEDs soldered on a circuit board.
  16. Mine is a pre-FL with 'LED' rear clusters. The bulb was already in place I only had to activate it.
  17. I have checked my colleagues' FL and the LEDs are missing from the other (in our case: right) cluster. I can smell some serious cost cutting.... The 'funny' thing is that even the PCB is present but the LEDs are missing. You can see the solder pads. If you are in the same boat you have to buy a new cluster for double rear fog lights...
  18. Try and force reboot the headunit, hopefully helps. Press and hold the power button until it switches off and on again (10-15 sec).
  19. Nope, you can’t delete the secret data on the Skoda card. It’s perfectly safe to format it. As for the 3 year limit: mine is an early 2014 car and I didn’t have any issues with updating. Friend of mine also updated his 2013 O3 without any problem. (We have MIB1 Amundsen.)
