  1. So is that all the side of the boot having to come off to access it?
  2. Where is this connector? I fancy having a look at mine and seeing if I can swap the cables round without ripping the car to its!
  3. Does anyone have any opinion on these? I'm thinking of getting the splitters skirts, defuser and the boot spoiler for my grey superb estate. I'm a little torn between gloss black and carbon effect does it look like real carbon at all, or is it fooling no one? I like the idea of carbon with the metallic grey on our car, possibly with carbon mirror shells, although that might be me trying too hard wanting it to look like an RS6 or something! I'm also unsure of which from splitter to get, from the pics I'm struggling to see the differences esp when the pics all show a gloss black splitter which doesn't photograph well! And how have people got them fitted, is it a diy job, or is it better to get maxton or a body shop to fit them. Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for any advice/answers!
  4. Far as I can tell the battery is OK, but the car seems to stop/starting less often, so my assumption would be that the battery is starting to decline and may need changing. That thought has been pushed on due to the fact that we are due to be on the nc500 this time next week, and the forecast is for below freezing temps, with a good chance of snow, and I dont fancy being stranded In a remote part of Scotland thanks to a dodgy battery! That car did a run down to Leeds from Newcastle last weekend, and from my multimeter I am seeing about 12.3 to 12.4v with the car off.
  5. I'll go for an EFB then, seems to be no one around here active on the vcds map. I am assuming that as mine has done 5 years this new one should last as long. i am slightly surprised though that others have an agm battery in the same model and I have an efb!
  6. Wanting to change my 220tsi battery and had assumed it was an agm, but it appears to be an efb type battery. What happens if I upgrade to agm and dont code it in (I dont have any tools, and don't know anyone round sunderland who does) Does it just not use the full capacity of the battery, or is it going to throw errors? Thanks
  7. Would be interesting to know. 8 channels in, 10 out and power & ground?
  8. How in the name of whatever are you getting 50plus mpg?! Our 220 only gets into the very low 40's on a run if I am very careful and in eco mode!
  9. Could anyone tell me if a 20"x9 wheels ET 35 fit a 2018 Superb 2.0 tsi on a 255/30/20 Thanks
  10. would these be any good as starter polishes for a cordless DA? https://www.amazon.co.uk/menzerna-Polishes-Medium-Finish-Polishing/dp/B07HQP3J1X/
  11. What do people reccomentpd as a good pair to start off with? I've recently bought a ryobi cordless polisher (the decent one, not the cheap one), I know its not as good as a corded one, but I have the batteries! Anyway, my grey superb estate is looking tatty everywhere and i thought I would have a go at polishing it up and get rid of some of the marring, swirls and scratches! So as the title suggests, what are good combo's to start with? Many a moon ago I would have bought some dodo juice lime prime and had a go, but I assume thing's have got better since. And as for pads, I haven't got a clue! Do I go with a soft pad to start with to minimise how much work the polish can do, or does someone have a good combo that will remove some of the swirls without needing too much refinement. Thanks
  12. does anyone know if its possible to upgrade from the 096 type battery to a larger size like the 019 for a bit more battery power? thanks
  13. i'll take the floor mats Can you send me your details please
  14. I'd love one as well if anyone knows somewhere that makes them!
  15. well, i've been paid! Would you take £150 for them?
  16. Have you still got this? If so, any chance if a pic of how the tweeters look with the door closed? Thanks
  17. Same here, i have the seat as low as it goes, and the car always seems to be unable to store it that low. Not sure if it's a senior or something that won't store a position that low. I'm interested if someone finds a fix though
  18. Gotta love a sunroof! How obvious are the mids and tweets in the A pillers from outside and when your driving? I've managed to do tweeters in a pillers before, but mids always look like they could be rather distracting when driving, and a bit obvious to the less desirable typesin the world
  19. Good investment then! I Am very surprised that the signal was flat, I wonder if the canton amp is eq'ing that much or are the speakers just that bad! Wonder if there is a way to hack the dsp and get a better sound profile from it? And no, not cheap, I have a guess at what it's cost you so my hats off for getting a superb looking system! BTW, how much if the car got sound deadened, just the boot, or the doors, floor & roof?
  20. Thanks, looking at the audison bit DMI Most page, it only lists a few audi's but nothing for skoda's, is there something else you needed, or just the MOST converter to Bit one? I would be interested to know just how much adjustment it all needed to get a flat signal out, i'm never sure if its the DSP or the speakers in the skoda, but it always sounds like one note bass and a mid/high thats way to sharp (painfully so to me) just been looking at your pictures again, i hadnt twigged till now that everything is digital until the amplifier, i'd still be running RCA cables here! i need to go think and see if i can win the lottery!!
  21. love that setup any chance of some more pics of how the install was done and what kit you have thrown at it? i'm going to have to pull my finger out now i think!
  22. Our car gets used for a bit of everything really, i like to push on and have a bit of fun, but it also get used for trips abroad (remember those!!) and commuting. I have separate winter tyres on different rims, so as these are purely for summer use, i think i'm going to plump for the pilot sports. I think that the extra safety/performance given by better performing tyres is worth more to me than the £50 i might save in fuel over 3 years from the primacy tyres. Hopefully they might tame some of the wheel spin i get sometimes from pulling out of junctions with a little gusto, and if the worst ever happens, i like to hope that stopping a metre or 2 earlier might avoid the accident. Thanks everyone
  23. Mythbusters tried it to, worked if you went nice and fast! I might just prefer round ones though, so think shaady might have the right answer!
  24. Hi, I am needing to replace some of the tyres on our Superb estate 220tsi I prefer Michelin tyres generally, but i am unsure weather to fit Pilot Sport 4's, or Primacy 4 tyres. Has anyone run either or both on 220 and can offer me some advice? I like the idea of better wear on the Primacy tyres, but it would be nice to have a little better grip from the PS4's Let me know what you think, thanks!
