  1. No. USB up there is only on the facelift Kodiaq - and it's on the windscreen mount bit, not the mirror itself.
  2. Out of curiosity, what’s the issue with having 7 seats? You don’t have to use them all…
  3. A different dealer... trying to find something better than a Kodiaq is a pointless exercise 😉.
  4. Lane Assist is only active at speeds > 40mph, according to the manual (same speed that activates the high-beam on the matrix lights too, fwiw). Travel Assist is only available with the ACC set - so that's a minimum 20mph... although the lane keeping element does stay active all the way down to stopped as traffic jam assist is all part of the same system (edit: that's with the ACC stopping/starting with the traffic, of course - you just can't set the ACC speed to anything less than 20mph).
  5. Yeah... it was orange in my first bear. My bad. But it's still two different types - there's normal lane assist that's active when you don't press the 'travel assist' button (lane assist and cruise control are separate icons in the display), and then adaptive lane assist that kicks in when you press the 'travel assist' button (icons merge into one).
  6. Yeah... on an empty stretch of the M5 late at night. I had pretty much the same results as you describe above in my old bear. In the new one (facelift) with travel assist, it's much better at keeping the middle of the lane, but it moans a lot more about not having hands on the wheel - even if you do, but not in the 10+2 position.
  7. Skoda’s Lane Assist comes in two varieties - one that corrects when you get to the lane boundary, and the ‘adaptive’ version that keeps you in the middle* of the lane. I have Lane Assist turned on all the time in the assist menu… but the adaptive version only kicks in when I turn on travel assist (the lines on the symbol in the dash go from white to orange).
  8. a) we're not in the EU any more... although we do seem to adopt the same regulations for such stuff like this. b) I assume 'ELKS' is simply the rumbling (or audio cue) when you get to the lane boundary... not 'adaptive lane guidance' or whatever you want to call the system that keeps you in the middle* of the lane?
  9. Now I'm confused... in another topic you claimed they were good at after sales service... 😵‍💫
  10. And, if round here is anything to go by, none are worth stealing - except that at the start of a round the contents of the packages are probably worth more than the car itself.
  11. Never had one before this car. Never saw the need. Wouldn't buy a car without one again. Same goes for heated steering wheel. 😂
  12. It’s not the heater that is not allowed - you’re just not allowed to leave the car engine running while not driving it. Which makes it pointless. Anyway, think someone wanted to prove me wrong about the weather round here… we’re now up to about 6-8 inches, which is unheard of in these parts!
  13. We don't get the option of selecting that in the UK - it's illegal to leave your engine running unnecessarily (i.e. when you're not actually driving the car) over here. We also don't have enough severely cold weather (except maybe in the very north of Scotland) to warrant it... but then you could argue we don't have enough sun to warrant sunroofs either 😂.
  14. By a stroke of coincidence, I did 350 miles up to Sheffield and back yesterday. Comfortable, relaxing and a fantastic place to spend the best part of 6 hours. Couldn’t agree more with you that it’s an all-round superstar, no matter which variant you have. I got over 40mpg too, which I’m more than happy with.
  15. I think it would be very tempting to a lot of people, myself included. However, I don't believe it will ever happen 😞
  16. I’ve decided there’s no point replacing it - even though the garage told me it needed it when it was in for its service the other week. It’s no worse than it was when brand new, and I figure any other make is going to be just as useless. Certainly not worth spending money on unless I need to when it gets to MOT time in a couple of years. Sorry - that didn’t really answer your question at all though…
  17. Errr... if it's a lease, it's not yours to sell. From my (admittedly very limited) experience with lease cars, if you do have the option to buy (and you don't always), then the price is usually not all that attractive anyway - so I'd be surprised if you'd be able to flip it for much of a profit, if any. Edit: Just noticed you're in Switzerland... things may of course be completely different over there! (as for the vRS TSI, good choice 😉)
  18. I know this doesn't answer the question directly... but have you considered alloygators/rimblades or similar?
  19. For me, this image is key - if you book your car in for a service, then you're only going to get the stuff done in the service bit. The maintenance bits are always going to be extra and not included in any service - but I totally agree that dealers should be telling customers what maintenance is required on their cars.
  20. No leaks here... apart from the dozy moment when I used the windscreen washer when it was open 🤦‍♂️.
  21. Pretty sure it's only the SportLine / vRS that have the dark roof lining. No idea if you can get them on a Motability vehicle, but the sunroof is awesome at making the interior much lighter 😄.
  22. I so would have bought a Kodiaq if they had existed back then 😂, would have been perfect for babies and pushchairs and everything else you need to take with you. Now the boot is just full of dog stuff instead. </pointless>
  23. As someone with two teenage kids - and a dog - I have to say the Kodiaq is as big as I ever need it to be.
  24. No. You can use the online Skoda Connect portal and send the route to the car from there. But that’s about it - you can’t use any 3rd party software.
