Skoda Connect down again?
I have issues with it all the time... it's a pile of crap and seems to be getting more and more flakey as time goes on. Assumption is that it's the app rather than the service - never have issues with the website, and the car never complains (although I'm not sure if it would).

ambient lighting - always on?
I like that... but then I don't set the interior lighting to pink 🤣. Have you noticed you can also set it to change colour automatically with the drive mode...? Would be nice to be able to have it different though - anything other than red, white or blue (and maybe green) on the dashboard looks horrendous (in my opinion, of course). Would be even nicer to be able to turn different bits of the lighting to different colours, although that could end up with some vomit inducing disco effects...

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
👋 Enjoy the new motor. But don't be too down on Skoda... these are extraordinary times that we're living in. That's not to say they've not ****ed up...

SKODA WLAN
If you have put a SIM card in the slot in the unit in the glovebox - yes. But that means paying for an extra data plan, so why would you?

Exhaust pipe?
Just like the vRS 🤣. You can't tell unless you crouch down and look, but it's still a little bit disappointing. Better than nothing though - I think the 'sporty' model would look a bit odd without visible tailpipes, but I had no issue with that on the Edition I had before. As for these fake bits of trim... really don't see the point myself. They might look half decent at a glance, but unless the exhaust actually outputs through them, the illusion is going to be shattered the moment it's a cold morning and there's exhaust fumes coming out from underneath them (and probably only on one side).

Is it worth extending the Kodiaq's warranty ?
Yeah... for some reason I didn't get offered that and didn't see any info about it at the time... an absolute bargain. But then I got such a good deal on buying the car, I think I can forgive the couple of hundred quid extra I'll be paying for the first 2 services.

Is it worth extending the Kodiaq's warranty ?
I put my reg in the 'book a service' thingy, and those are the prices it came back with. It's set to fixed servicing this time around as I may keep this car long term (as my last ever ICE) and I want to look after it properly. Previous cars have always been set to variable servicing - I've gotten away with only servicing them once on 3 year PCPs 😃.

Is it worth extending the Kodiaq's warranty ?
This thread got me thinking about how much the servicing will cost on my new bear... apparently it will be £308.50 for the first (oil change) service, and then £426.10 for the second (oil + inspection). Time to sign up for the £19/month service plan that covers both of those, I think.

Self drive? You're having a laugh. I wouldn't trust it to drive to the end of the road, let alone any further. The sign recognition is great, until it picks up signs from slips roads, roads running parallel, at junctions (on the roads you're not going down)... and with that feeding into the predictive AAC (which is the main difference), it can get pretty random as to what speed you're going to end up doing. The bend/roundabout/junction bit of the pACC isn't too bad - it works from the map data so is a bit more reliable - but it's only really usable with ACC set to sport. In eco/normal, it slows down too much and too early (but with the ACC set to sport, there are other behaviours that I really don't enjoy like getting very close to the car in front before even thinking about slowing down, then hitting the brakes - instead of easing off the gas early and only applying a bit of braking if necessary when coming up behind someone). And the lane keeping doesn't seem to be anywhere near as good as it was in my old bear for some reason... and even with your hands on the wheel, if you're going along a straight bit of road it will moan that you need to take over the steering, even though no steering needs to be done! Fortunately, you can turn the p bit of the pACC off... but then why pay for the travel assist over just ACC? In my case, it's because it was the only way to get lane assist + ACC, you couldn't order the two options together so had to take the travel assist pack. Don't know if that's still the same or if one or the other isn't even available now...

Maps update
If I remember correctly, the map data is from HERE. You could fix it yourself... 😉 https://mapcreator.here.com

It may be that you are focussing your efforts in the wrong place. Who is your contract with? The broker or the dealer? If it is with the dealer, then you should have been kicking them a long time ago. If a broker... then you really should have been kicking them very hard, as it sounds like they've been nothing by useless in all of this. Your contract most certainly isn't with Skoda UK - so it's not surprising that they've effectively told you to go away.

I'm going to guess the dealer was the one to blame for that...

What stuff do you keep in there... and if you don't use it often, do you really need it in there?

It's... nice enough. Compared to a Kodiaq, it's cramped as anything inside though.- 2022 facelift missing items
First* thing I did with my 2022 model was to put in the umbrella I kept from my old Kodiaq, along with the boot nets. Don't keep anything in the glove box that rattles, so couldn't care less about that. *Wasn't really the first thing...- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Some, yes. Others, not so much. Your apostrophe abuse, definitely not 😉.- Software Updates
I've just been starting the update and leaving the car... it seems to finish doing them even when off/locked.- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Part of me still regrets not getting velvet red... looks gorgeous in the sun!- Software Updates
Anyone else having a whole bunch of system software updates pushed out to their Kodiaq at the moment? It seems like there is a new one every day... and I say that as the "what's new" bit is different for each of them. Probably only MIB3 - I didn't have a single update pushed out to my old bear with MIB2 in 3.5 years (probably because it didn't work like that). Is there anywhere on the Skoda website to check what the latest version is? As far as I can tell, the update portal doesn't show these sorts of updates.- 2.0 TDI 190 Sport Line - exhaust sound tuned to sound sporty?
Should've gone to Specsavers!- Kodiaq Offline (red globe in Infotainment)?
Mine was working earlier today... has your Skoda Connect licence expired? If you normally connect it to the Internet using your phone... did you leave that at home?- 1.4TSI ACT Servicing
Are you really going to save that much money? Is it worth it? No-one can answer that for you. It's your money, and it's your car.- Add on engine tuning
Higher fuel prices skew the results in favour of diesel, because the %age difference between the pump prices is less. If you go back to what was normal (£1.20ish for petrol, £1.40ish for diesel), then you'd need more mpg from your diesel (46-47mpg?). You also haven't taken into consideration the higher purchase price of the diesel, but I'm sure we must have done this all before 😄. - Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
