Setting seat position.
Press and hold the set button for a couple of seconds, then press the memory slot button (1, 2, 3) you want to store it to. There will be a bong to tell you it has been stored. To recall a memory, press and hold the 1, 2, or 3 button as required until the seat/mirrors have finished moving.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… the red looks gorgeous. It’s such a shame I just can’t bring myself to buy a red car!

Gap between rear seats and parcel cover
Yeah... recline the seats. My kids don't seem to like them in their most upright position anyway. But if you don't have kids or any other regular rear-seat passengers, you won't have had anyone moan at you 🙄.

What do I replace my Skodiaq with
Unless you want a car that supports Apple CarPlay, of course.

What do I replace my Skodiaq with
Everyone seems to rave about Volvo seats being really comfy, but I just don't get it. They're not bad... but I don't rate them as any better than others. The XC60 I test drove last year was certainly nothing to shout home about. And the V40 I had a go in several years ago was like sitting on stone slabs. As for the infotainment, apparently it's now all 'Google built-in', which instantly rules out Volvo for me.

If it works for you, why not? And if you really want not-leather seats, how about a Sportline? I'd agree that buying the same spec or the same colour would be boring / pointless / whatever, but switching to a 'sporty' one with the sports seats and in a different colour will make it feel like an all-new all-different car... but you'll still have the same large boot and auto 'box in a package that's no bigger than a Kodiaq 😉. (I went Edition > VRS and - even ignoring the engine - it's like having a completely different car, but with all the benefits I loved about the first one) Edit: oh, and going non-facelift > facelift also helped with feeling like it was a different car

Kodiaq 2022 2TSI 190hp real consumption
There’s no one answer to real-life fuel economy, as there are too many variables. Your driving style, how much extra weight (passengers or cargo) you regularly carry around, what the traffic conditions are, the road surface... the list goes on. On short urban journeys then you’re likely to see less than the stated 33mpg or 7l/100km figure, but on longer journeys on highways you’ll see more. My personal experience so far with the 245PS TSI (after the first 2000 miles) is that short journeys will range from 20-30mpg, but longer journeys will return anything up to about 45mpg. I guess you could expect similar with the 190PS.

Skoda Connect: a little confused...
If it was built in 2017, then no, there is no remote access. That came in MY2018, which annoyed me because my first Kodiaq was made Jan 2018 and so I missed out too. But to be fair - my new one has them and I don't use that functionality anyway 😆.

Skoda Connect: a little confused...
Not necessarily - the leather seats were an option on the SE-L. What colour are the roof rails? If they are black, then it's an SE-L. If they're silver, it's an Edition.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Wow. I can’t believe that this thread is still going over a year after I started it… and there are people who placed their orders before I did that are still waiting. I really feel for all of you who are waiting, especially those who have been waiting for so long, and hope that your cars turn up soon - you have more patience than I do! These may be mad times that we’re living in - but there definitely seem to be a few orders that have been lost down the back of the couch, so to speak…

Electric tailgate - beeping at the top
you’re not the only one - mine started a couple of weeks ago. Annoying as hell, but it doesn’t beep every time, just most of the time.

1.5 DSG MPG horrific
Gloucester to the Lake District yesterday - 43mpg in the VRS. You’d hope for at least that in a 1.4 or 1.5, wouldn’t you? And that was 2 people, dog in his crate, and bike on the tow bar carrier.

Has anyone worked out how to disable remote boot opening?
From my experience, about 20m at most. Less when there are walls in the way, or if you're in front of the car. Certainly doesn't work from the same distance as the lock/unlock buttons, as @Kenny R says (and I've got them to work at least 30-40m away), but it does work at a much greater distance than the 2m that page in the manual says. Because I've put the key away by the time they're done and pressing the button to close the boot, so I know damn well I'm not going to have pressed a key after that.

TDI longevity for a short-journey car
If you look after it and service it at all the proper intervals, then I'd suggest the engine will last a very long time. Most issues with modern cars seem to be electrical or other systems.

Has anyone worked out how to disable remote boot opening?
But it's not nowhere near, is it? You do have to be near it... Couple of use cases for me: first is car key in hand, together with shopping bags - can have the boot open just as I get to the car, which is very helpful; second is when I send the kids out to the drive to put empty shopping bags back into the boot - I can open the boot without giving them the key, and all they have to do is press the button on the boot to close it and I know it'll be locked. Score one for laziness, but also for convenience.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
It’s a lease, right? So, purely depends how vain you are as you don’t care about any small difference in residuals. On one hand, new reg plate is always nice, and what’s another couple of weeks when you’ve waited so long already… but on the flip side, I WANT MY CAR NOW, DAMMIT!

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
My first one was Port of Tyne, but that’s probably because the dealer was about 5 miles away. Current one came via Grimsby. I believe VAG also use Sheerness.

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
I think most VAG cars coming into the UK are via Grimsby. Not all, but most...

Kodiaq vrs
Anything from high teens on short journeys with the air con blasting out on days like today, all the way up to 40mpg or so on relaxed long motorway journeys (i.e. not driving it like a loon) in the spring rain. And that's after well and truly running it in - when new, double figures were considered an achievement, especially the first few days, but that's to be expected. No diesel version - the old one was diesel only, the new one is petrol only.

System updates
No... you could do OTA updates on MIB2 if you wanted (via SIM card or via WiFi), you didn't have to use an SD card / USB stick. Edit: Could? I guess you probably still can!

Ending phone call
Travel assist. You'd think that would be in the manual... unless I've missed it somewhere, which isn't beyond the realms of possibilities.
-
Ending phone call
You sure? I know on the pre-facelift steering wheel, the call button was bottom-left of the right-hand side on the steering wheel - but not if you had the virtual cockpit. According to the manual, all steering wheels are now the same (possibly missing buttons if you don't have certain features), and don't have a call button.

Things you wish you’d ordered with your Kodiaq!
If you’d said that a few weeks ago, I think we’d all be incredibly impressed and would be asking for this week’s lottery numbers!
