  1. Nah, too lazy, paid an hour of labour. Not difficult to DIY though.
  2. Whiteline rear sway bar fitted to my DCC Sportline...night and day difference. Feels so much tighter and the body transitions are way quicker. Next up is brakes as they're gonna need replacing this year. Going with DBA T3 rotors front and T2 rear, with their Street Performance pads all round. Anyone here have any experience with them?
  3. Disagree. A mild hybrid in 99.9% of cases cannot operate in a full electric mode unlike a self charging hybrid. @Rogerstone in the annual press conference they confirmed both Superb and Kodiaq PHEV will have an electric-only range of over 62mi/100km but otherwise no technical details as of yet.
  4. Is it illegal to tint the front side windows in the UK? I would’ve thought that you’d want to match the tint front to rear - that’s what I did with my Superb
  5. Can this be done remotely to NZ?
  6. I recently got the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 (6 not available in NZ) and I'm a big fan of them vs the Pilot Sport 4 and Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3
  7. Towards the end in the Q&A section, it’s confirmed that the new Kodiaq and Superb will have PHEV powertrains with 100km range! Great news.
  8. I prefer the start stop cutting the engine off before a stop, it lets you come to a smoother stop since you don't have the resistance from the engine/DSG wanting to creep forward.

  10. Petrol RS is about half a second quicker to 100kph with only the driver, but evens out once you have passengers because of the torque deficit.
  11. That’s what I hate about the diesel RS. 0-100 time would be significantly less if you could launch from 2nd gear. Doing a DSG tune will increase the clamping pressure of the clutch packs - once this is done then the DQ381 will easily handle 500NM+. My old Golf R had the DQ250 with a 400NM torque limit and 470NM was perfectly fine once it was tuned. Not bored of the stock 7.5R power yet so haven’t tuned it yet.
  12. I've never noted the long term mileage...will keep an eye on it.
  13. Seems to be an issue with MY18+ cars that have MIB2.5 and driver personalisation
  14. The suspension tune of the RS is by far the best I've found in the price category. I'm test driving the Touareg this week. WIth the updated model (new steering wheel) they've revised the spec for the NZ market so some lot of the stuff that was optional (area view, air suspension, rear wheel streering) are now standard so it'll be interesting to see the difference. R-Line in Silver with the black pack makes my knees weak...
  15. Regardless of what VW is saying, I would still recommend a 60,000km interval as a preventative measure. My Golf R has the DQ381 and there is no way in hell I'm letting it tick over 60,000km between DSG services given how it's driven.
  16. Surely buying six sets is more expensive than what you would've paid for the Kopacek/Superskoda ones...
  17. DSG oil change should be every 60,000km...
  18. Does your car have matrix headlights?
  19. I'm not super prepared right now to be flashing componenents, but I wonder if applying the basic Passat dataset would give a good improvement but without the slider adjustability?
  20. At some point in 2021, Skoda 'restored' the missing power from the 272PS/200kW engine. Yours is most likely one of these models.
  21. Hey all, Has anyone have an issue with their ACC that it forgets the memory setting for the distance every few weeks? I have it set to remember the last setting (in my case usually the two closest ones) and it resets every few weeks. If it matters my car is a MY18 with personalisation.
  22. The Pirelli Scorpion Verde fitted from factory I have found to be very good, no issues. Not sure what the difference in grip is but they for sure last longer than the Contis in my experience.
  23. Looks chinese...
  24. Have you tried to manually push the bootlid the whole way up then hold the button for 5sec? Should make a confirmation sound then you can see if that's solved the issue.
  25. The F-Pace seems to be the only large-ish SUV that has the dimensions and boot space as the Kodiaq while having a longitudinal drivetrain config. Because of this, the Q5 is too small and a Q7 is too big for me, same goes for the other brands.
