  1. Aircon gas needs topped up?
  2. At the least, it will require a brake fluid change, cam belt and water pump, pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter. And if it’s DSG, DSG oil change.
  3. No, it should be reset immediately after checking/ resetting tyre pressures before driving.
  4. It’s always worked perfectly for me and recently gave timely warning of this.
  5. I think when you show the Mrs how wee a caravan your car will tow, I think the notion might subside somewhat
  6. There’s a link to one on eBay in my post above.
  7. If you don’t use Connect much, buy a connect lite dongle from eBay, you can get VW branded ones for under £5. You can the use the Skoda Connect Lite app which may have enough functionality for you. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264747012721
  8. The micro hybrid 2 section is relevant in this link… https://www.yuasa.co.uk/info/technical/micro-hybrid-hybrid-vehicles-explained/
  9. The thing is to get a true resting voltage from the battery, you either need to disconnect the battery and check a good few hours after charging. Or you need to connect your meter to the battery ( and place somewhere it can be read with bonnet shut) , close the bonnet, lock the doors, and leave for a few hours. If you are checking the battery after unlocking the car opening doors etc, the fuel pump will have primed, interior lights come on and the car systems woken up, so you will not get an accurate reading.
  10. The ac being on is only one item in a list of prerequisites for stop/start to operate.
  11. If the ac was on it wouldn’t.
  12. Stop/ start system batteries are normally only charged to approximately 80% by the system to allow for some capacity from the regenerative braking.

That is manoeuvre braking, that works of the parking sensors, nothing to do with front assist.
  14. Quite common for small air bubbles, introduced in the factory fill process, to disperse causing the level to drop. Unless level keeps dropping nothing to worry about.

The front assist only applies the brakes at the last minute to avoid a collision. Believe me if it does deploy you will certainly know about it, imagine an emergency stop x10.

  17. Surely if it’s a manual you need to depress the clutch to start, on DSG it’s the brake you depress, you don’t need to do both. The autohold applies the brakes same as you pressing the brake pedal and is not an automatic handbrake.

Does it not re- engage drive when you touch the brakes and provide engine braking as in previous versions.
  19. If you’ve got an order in already, don’t pin your hopes on a free 20” wheel upgrade. My son has been informed today his order due end of July has build confirmed and is too late to change order for free upgrade and will definitely come with the standard 19” wheels.
  20. Strange message to get as 2.0 tsi are back to 280 ps and the 2.0 diesel is 200 ps and have been for a while.

All I can say is, it is not usual to have any additional wiring installed for options that aren’t fitted on Skoda and indeed any of the VAG range.
  22. 4x4 doesn’t make any car better off road or on snow and ice, it’s all down to tyres. You may find a 2WD car with the proper tyres will meet all your requirements.
