  1. Have you tried in normal mode instead of eco. I know I can get better consumption in normal than in eco mode in my car and it’s a better drive. You will never get the same economy from a petrol car compared to diesel, just drive the car and enjoy it.
  2. When most other yeti owners have devised methods of fitting mesh behind the grill and lower grill to stop stones etc damaging the radiator/ intercooler, all I can say is your very brave opening opening up the grill.
  3. If you already have a sat nav unit ( Amundsen) why on earth does the dealer want to charge you an extortionate amount of money to change it. Haven’t seen the new MIB3 unit, but what happens if you press the update software banner shown in your first post.
  4. Are you positive there is no unit in the glovebox. It is at the top of the lower glovebox and not readily apparent if sat in passenger seat and look in glove box. It does certainly look like you have the amundsen and it requires a Skoda SD with the maps inserted in the slot in the glovebox to operate.
  5. You get Skoda assist for the first 3 years.
  6. Well, after refusing to pay £80 for Skoda Connect I was quite happily using the My Skoda app. Then Skoda decided to withdraw the My Skoda app and only have the one app.. Skoda Connect. This is when I found out on here you could get a data plug for under a fiver and use the Connect Lite app. Quite happy with this option, till the data usage incident and the data plug was shoved in the glovebox. Looking for other options tried the new Skoda Connect, and found that I had full connection without paying anything. This worked fine till last week and email arrived telling me my subscription was due to end 23rd April. After seeing post on here, decided to try data plug again, and can happily report that app is working and I’m keeping a close eye on data usage and all seems well so far.
  7. This is the plastic wheel nut cover removal tool
  8. I don’t think having (radar) , front assist influences how many front parking sensors you have. Having park assist means you get 6 sensors 4 on the front and one either side at the front of the wheel arch.
  9. I would imagine that if you did manage to get the the small digital display reading MPH, and no mph on the speedo dial would be an MOT failure. Don’t forget you will need to change the headlight units to UK spec, and if you have xenons could prove to be expensive.
  10. If you have this function you have to touch the locking indent on the door handle within 5 sec after pushing the lock button on the remote. If your trying to confirm it’s worked you need to wait at least 10 sec before trying door handle.
  11. Better and much cheaper alternatives on aliexpress.
  12. Sounds like you’re the eBay seller trying to drum up some business.
  13. Sounds like the engine ecu your describing.
  14. Well something about the Connect lite data plug chomped through my phone data, as it only occurred after I had installed said plug, and hasn’t happened since plug was relegated to glove box
  15. I think it depends on your phone connecting with the data plug. If it doesn’t connect then no data is transferred. I tried setting phone to allow GPS etc to be used only when using app and found it rather inconsistent. Tried changing to allow always and phone chomped through a lot of my data allowance. Data plug now resides in the glove box. Skoda connect Lite is as useless as the full version , which I refuse to pay £80 for.
  16. Until I bought my current Kodiaq I had never driven a DSG before. I can honestly say that now 3 years later my next car will have to be DSG I could never go back to stirring a stick and pumping a clutch pedal Oh and the DSG is ideal for stress free towing.
  17. Modern engine cooling systems and oils have came on a long way from old school oils like Castrol GTX etc, when letting a turbo cool may have been relevant.
  18. If it was a high powered sports car then maybe yeah. But your probably causing more heat in the engine bay sitting idling, not to mention just wasting fuel. Was it an old wife that told you to do this
  19. Fuse 30 is for the 12V accessory socket so has no relevance to lights. As mentioned above you really need to check your battery as a failing battery is well documented on here as causing many spurious and random faults on Yetis.
  20. I believe the violet connector is for the GSM antenna that is only used if the car has telephone prep from the factory. The blue connector is the GPS.
  21. If it is installed correctly, I wouldn’t think so. Skoda dealer fitted my dashcam. Doesn’t help not knowing what country your in, your location could be different. Best check with retailer in your location.
  22. As above ignore email. If your service reminder was reset properly, your car will tell you when it needs its next service.
  23. Don’t forget this forum as is any other car forum is where owners with problems turn for help. You don’t get many owners joining a forum to tell everyone how great their car is. Another thing to take into consideration is that of total Skoda sales, the few posts on here with perceived faults, some if which turn out to be operator error, are truly a small percentage.
  24. Turning off the wiping in reverse option stopped the rear wiper operating randomly on my Kodiaq. It’s hardly a hardship to flick the rear wiper when reversing to stop the annoying random rear wipe operation. Turning off the Auto wipers in the rain deactivates the auto front wiper function.
