  1. GF20 FHY is a 2.0 Tdi 150 DSG which can have a tow bar, it’s the manual version that’s not homologated for towing.
  2. My sons karoq factory fit reverse camera has the guide lines same as my Kodiaq. You can get aftermarket low function cameras that do not have the guide lines, or the washer function.
  3. The reason diesel’s are disappearing from manufacturers model ranges is because nobody wants polluting diesels anymore, including second hand so wouldn’t hold your breath looking for high residuals.
  4. Do you have a data plug? If you do press I have a data plug and you’ll have to insert the code to proceed. VW data plugs are available on eBay for around £5, certainly not worth paying Skoda £40 for. To be honest it’s not even worth paying £5 for a data plug Skoda connect lite is pretty rubbish, just like the fully paid version.
  5. Try unzipping the download straight on to the usb flash drive. Previous versions liked the card/ usb drive formatted fat 32 don’t know if currently the same. The other option might be if your close enough to your house to download straight to car using house Wi-Fi.
  6. Already mentioned in post 4 above, but OP seems strangely more preoccupied with the rear hatch alignment rather than the paint/ potential damage issues.
  7. Does sound like low battery issues. Was the replacement battery the correct type and coded to the car?
  8. Looking at the photos, the boot lid alignment should the least of your worries.
  9. Exactly, my previous Yeti had the wires in the screen type and the wires never caused me a problem (as you look through the screen not at it) but there were a few reports of owners having real problems with this type or screen for some reason. My current Kodiaq has the film type heated screen and doesn’t have any wires in the screen.
  10. Yes, you can change the picture, but I wouldn’t get too exited, the whole Connect concept is pretty lacklustre especially now that they’ve taken away the Google Earth view with live traffic.
  11. That sounds like the parallel parking view. Top button, reversing into space view Second button, parallel parking view. Third , button, towbar view. Fourth button, wide angle view for reversing out a space.
  12. Total waste of money and resources changing oil on a two week old car. The car will tell you when oil needs changed depending on what service regime it is set to could be 1 year or 2 years. But most dealers set to 1 year service intervals with the 2 year service deal. The days of changing oil after the running in period has long gone, modern materials and oil technology mean this simply isn’t required anymore.
  13. I’ve used Superskoda for years and apart from lack of communication I’ve always received items but even in normal times don’t think I’ve ever received anything in a week as your hoping for. Last email I had from them informing me of their summer sale dated 25th June stated delivery times could be 3-8 weeks. One or two folk on here moaning shouldn’t put you off, and just be a bit more patient I’m sure you’re stuff will arrive, just not in the timescale your expecting.
  14. Expecting delivery in a week is a bit ambiguous. This was the last update from Superskoda on 25th June Please note: 1) for all overseas shipments: due to corona virus, delivery time can be 3-8 weeks, even if we send it with airmail
  15. In my previous Skoda’s there was an ambient light sensor in the bottom half of the Rev counter that operated the dash day/ night illumination. Have you recently put something that would block light to said sensor, or is bezel very dusty?
  16. Columbus doesn’t need a Skoda branded SD card for map updates, you can even use a usb flash drive.
  17. Turn on ignition, close window, turn off ignition, no need to start engine.
  18. If you ordered the towbar fitting with the dealer, even though they’ve sub contracted the job to a towbar fitter, they are the ones that need to put it right if it’s not working correctly. Take it back to the dealer and tell them you want it working correctly.
  19. Does your sat nav work with no card? If it does you have the Columbus unit and just need a 32gb SD card or flash drive and download the update maps from the Skoda update portal. If you have the Amundsen unit, this requires a Skoda navigation card and hopefully someone will come along with info on what card you need.
  20. You can’t just copy or drag the downloaded files to the SD card, they are zipped files and require unzipping to the SD card. As above, the VW portal is much better and they supply a pdf with full instructions and link to unzip software. Oh and the latest maps are 2020/21
  21. I believe using a Mac adds hidden data to the SD card which confuses the system in the car. Someone will come along shortly informing you what program you need to clear said data and all will be good. Also it’s good practice to back up the map data on the card before formatting.
  22. Think of the fun you could have with the honk and flash if you didn’t delete.
