I paid £15266 for my TSI Estate through Carfile which included just over £1000 of extras. The thought of paying over 22K for a Fabia is incredulous. Each to their own though, it's just my opinion.

True, I had forgotten about the turbo. Had to laugh at Autocar this week. Ford are putting the same engine in the latest Mondeo. It's good in the Fiesta/Focus, however I think it's stretching a bit far fit the Mondeo. Just shows you though, that small capacity petrol engines are here to stay.

It just shows how much difference there can be between 1 litre cars. My previous car was the Ford Focus 1.0 with the 125 bhp engine. I took it to Superchips and had it remapped to 150hp.

You're right. I had a Superb Elegance Estate and thought it stood up well against the Passat Estate and Audi A6 Avant.
-
I really like my vehicle, but there's no way I'd ever compare it to an Audi A3 Sportback. It's good, but not that good. Just my opinion though before I get flamed for it.

Have to agree. The horn is possibly the wimpiest I have ever heard in over 35 years of driving. It's embarrasing when I have to use it.

It looks good, however Carfile are doing the 5 door version, brand new for £18990 before you add options. The only thing is, you probably face a lengthy wait for delivery.

Comfort closing of windows with key fob

Fair enough I might be wrong as you succinctly put it, however at least I was trying to help the OP. -
Studing sizing down to a Fabia III State 1.2 TSI DSG

The Fabia Estate does have a large boot space, even more than the new Mondeo Estate. 515 with space saver as opposed to 500. However as a 5 seater, I think it would be a struggle, as it is a very narrow car. However, that is just my personal opinion.. -

Neither does mine. I could be wrong but I believe it's only possible if you also have the rear electric windows. -
Mirrorlink - update from Skoda UK 29/5/2015

I think that some Skoda Dealers need a rocket up their backside. It's a simple matter of the technician plugging in his laptop and enabling the feature. I waited whilst they did it and took a couple of minutes at best. I have it set to lock at 10mph. I am beginning to despair at Skoda and wonder what is going on with this Company. -
Fabia III 1.2 petrol Estate - fuel gauge stuck at full
Goody1 replied to mike1950's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I have never relied on car computer read outs to measure my mpg. I brim the tank on each fill-up and use a calculator to get an accurate figure. The last 2 fill-ups have been 47.6 and 48.5. -
Remap companies and recommendations

Superchips. Have used them twice before with great results. Very reputable too. -
Although I have the Fabia Mk3 Estate, I have also found the Bridgestone Turanzas noisy and will not be replacing them with same when required. I normally put Michelins on, however have also been reading good things about the Dunlops.

I'm afraid to say that I believe that we are all in dreamland if we believe that Skoda will come good on this to those of us who already have the Mk3. I am of the opinion that Skoda just don't really care about their customers, regardless of how many official complaints are made. I am more than willing to be proven wrong though. This is my 6th Skoda and to be honest I really like the car, however the issue with Amundsen sat nav now being available only 2 months after I bought the car really annoys me. Car of the Year 2015? More like **** up of the Year. -

He's possibly referring to the cost of buying a compatible phone that will work with Mirrorlink. -
I have the Denim Blue on my Estate with silver roof rails. Regardless of what other people think about it, I like it and friends have commented favourably on it. Each to their own. With regards Cappucino Beige, I had that on a previous Superb Estate and it was quite a classy colour especially in Estate guise.

Is the panoramic sunroof worth it?
Goody1 replied to AndersBrohus's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I'll give a differing opinion. My Wife's Nissan Qashqai has it and although it doesn't open, it floods the interior with light. -
My car also has the Bridgestone Turanzas. Of all the cars I have owned in the last 35 years, this is the first time I have had Bridgestones fitted. I find them quite noisy and when required to replace them will either fit Michelin Energy or Goodyear Efficient Grip.

I have used Carfile.net for my last 3 new cars. 11% off retail price for my Fabia and likewise for my wife's last 2 Qashqais. Although I travelled in excess of 250 miles to get the Qashqais I use my local Nissan Dealer in Ayr for servicing/warranty issues. I will be doing the same for my Fabia Jonathan at Carfile is an absolute pleasure to deal with and I was also quoted a higher part exchange price although the salesman didn't see my car until the day of purchase.
-
I have also posted on their Facebook page, but to be honest I don't think it will make one iota of difference.

When I picked mine up last month, the technician plugged in his laptop and set up the Autolock to activate at 10mph.
