  1. Have you done a compression test ? as I know of a case on an Ibiza where they changed everything on the ignition & injectors and it ended up as there was a seating problem with the valves in the cylinder head
  2. The other thing to consider, when was the fuel filter last replaced ? and there is also a filter inside the lift pump, also the engine code would help, look at the V5 logbook the engine serial number will begin with 3/4 letters that is the code
  3. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2002-252/9/971-972000/ #1 just need to makesure it's the correct engine code
  4. Just needs the ignition to be switched ON to pull any stored fault codes
  5. I bought a Road Angel Aura HD3 front & rear camera from Costco before Xmas when they had it on offer @£119
  6. The other thing you can do to improve the light output is to fit relays' with a decent sized wire on the supply & ground as the wiring is marginal to supply the required current so you end up with less than optimum voltage at the bulbs
  7. Load cover is the VAG description normally used
  8. Normally if the cam sensor goes it will still start as it uses the crank sensor as it's main reference but if the crank sensor goes it won't start
  9. If you are using a generic OBD11 reader it won't connect to the ABS you need a VAG specific reader ideally VCDS
  10. There should be a grommet to run the cables through on both sides of the rear panel it's normally behind the bumper bar so that's why I suggest you remove the bumper cover otherwise you'll struggle to reach up and under the cover to pull the wiring through, also if the sensors are anything like the OEM the holder fits from behind the cover
  11. Are you fitting OEM or aftermarket ? either way I think you'll find it a lot easier to remove the bumper cover to run the wiring from the sensors to the control unit and with the bumper removed I think you'll find the cover is marked as to where the sensors should be fitted
  12. The immobiliser won't stop it from cranking, if it was an immobiliser fault it would start and run for about 3 seconds then stop as it kills the injectors
  13. Manual or auto transmission ? if it's auto it could be starter inhibit relay
  14. Looking at the parts listing there are certain chassis number divisions https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2007-419/9/955-955030/ & https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2007-419/9/955-955031/
  15. Very strange as mine had the OEM satnav unit and every time I removed it to do something it needed the 4 digit unlock code, unless yours was a late mk1 ? where the mk1 &2 overlapped and had effectively mk2 setup ??
  16. The radio in my Octy 1 always asked for a code, I think you'll find it started with the Octy2 that was full canbus rather than the partial canbus on the Octy 1 ??
  17. The car will report you, as happened when a guy crashed setting off the airbags so the car automatically called the emergency services and when they got there he was over the drink drive limit and tested positive for cocaine
  18. On my old Octy estate the central brake light kept coming up as failed and the wiper was intermittant, and when I did the wiring for a tow bar on it I found 3 multi pin connectors down behind the left rear light cluster near the CD player and they were in a terrible state corroded pins/sockets and when I went to replace them there was "black wire" corrosion on most of the wires making it a nightmare to solder in replacement wires, eventually won the day and all the tailgate electrics worked fine
  19. With VCDS if you go into controller 17 (Instruments) and the measuring blocks it will give you the resistance value and if you hover your mouse pointer over that block it will give an upper & lower resistance value
  20. All depends when your car was made pre or post end of May 2011 and check the correct PR code that will be on a sticker in the boot and in the service booklet
  21. If you read the description it states upto 11/01/2010 or from 12/01/2010 so you have a 2011 ? the choice is then just the one post 12/01/2010
  22. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2011-663/1/ scroll to near the bottom and there are all the options for the clutch units they are listed as "Couplings" you will need your engine code to ensure the correct part numbers,
  23. Have a look on eBay for ElsaWin it is a copy of the dealer manuals and covers all VAG models from 1994 it is far better than any Haynes
  24. The call sign is assigned to him, it was a data mode contact so no way of knowing if it was him answering
