  1. Had a Kia Ceed in on Tuesday that failed it's MOT on a front side / DLR bulb not working. The bulb is LED and is part of the headlamp assembly unit only. Front bumper off to replace the unit. They were quoted £725.00 to change it. 😮 The unit was over £600 to buy only. Thanks, AG Falco
  2. You can also get sided tyres, as well as LHD/RHD, symmetrical, asymmetrical and directional types. Thanks, AG Falco
  3. Yes correct. If they are done up the corresponding icon has a seat belt strap diagonally across it. Thanks, AG Falco
  4. I have had front side light bulbs listed at 1 Hour labour to change one. Some people have had fun with Fabia III headlight bulbs as well. Everything is becoming harder if you ask me. Thanks, AG Falco
  5. Swap the rears to the front but diagonally. Goodyear Eff Grip Perf 2 might only be in a 'V' speed rating which is faster than your 'H' tyres. In your size they are B Fuel Efficiency. A wet grip and 69 DB for noise. They are also listed as quieter than your Bridgestones. You can still get Goodyear Eff Grip Perf in an 'H' though. In your size they are C Fuel Efficiency. A wet grip and 68 DB for noise. Thanks AG Falco
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire_code Speed rating[edit] The speed symbol is made up of a single letter or an A with one numeral. It indicates the maximum speed at which the tire can carry a load corresponding to its Load Index.[18] The testing method consists of pressing the tire against a large diameter metal drum to reflect its appropriate load, and run at ever increasing speeds in 10 km/h (6.2 mph) steps in 10 minute increments until the tire's required speed has been met.[20] Thanks, AG Falco
  7. If you are going to use them all year round then a set of All Season tyres with the TPMSS ( three Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol ) could be good. Thanks AG Falco
  8. If you put the Reg in here it will show ( not all ) any outstanding ones:- https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/?_ga=2.210664592.467493691.1598728257-1053247475.1598728257 Thanks AG Falco
  9. 860's now. Thanks AG Falco
  10. What car presently sold new has 205 55 15 tyres on it? A1? Yes but if you look at Mytyres they only have 23 choices in that size. This includes Winter, All Season and Summer tyre. You find that on a tyre size with little choice the prices are higher than on a more common size. https://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=moZ0bur39YOXKZFL.110.841440332&Cookie=sea_rd_uk_Google_Search&sowigan=So&Breite=205&Quer=55&Felge=15&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&search_tool=standard&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&suchen=Search+for+tyres If you try a common size you can have a choice of over 750 tyres at cheaper prices. 205 55 15 Uniroyal Rainsport 5 are £76.99 supplied only. 205 55 16 Uniroyal Rainsport 5 are £52.19 supplied only. Thanks, AG Falco
  11. Not much choice on tyres in 205 55 15. 😒 Old size now. Thanks, AG Falco
  12. If you set the temperature control knob to hot/red do you get hot air? Thanks, AG Falco
  13. Is the battery fully charged? Thanks, AG Falco
  14. You can also look yourself on ERWIN. https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do Thanks, AG Falco
  15. You can also put the key in the ignition switch and turn until the ignition lights come on. This stops the alarm sounding. You don't have to start the engine. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. See below/as above. Thanks, AG Falco
  17. Is it the state of your mobile battery? Thanks, AG Falco
  18. AGFalco replied to b1ackb1rd's topic in Skoda Yeti
If you can lift the wheels off the ground and spin the wheels one at a time then try this:- With the wheel spinning put your hand on the coil spring nearest the wheel and you will feel, in the spring, if the bearing is no good. Thanks, AG Falco
  19. Does it become easy to pull the gear lever out of reverse if you turn the engine off? Thanks, AG Falco
  20. PSA have a shunt mode from the factory. ( where/when you were only shunting the car around. ) During the PDI ( Pre Delivery Inspection ) you had to remove the shunt fuse. Thanks, AG Falco
  21. Info here on tyre repairs in the UK. https://www.itia.ie/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/British-Standards-for-Tyre-Repair.pdf Thanks, AG Falco
  22. Correct. Will do. Thanks, AG Falco
  23. Uses a lot of fuel as you are doing no miles and still using fuel. The first post has the clues in it for the MPG achieved. When I first stoped to take a photo of the MPG the figure was much higher. But the stop/start didn't kick in so it went down. Thanks, AG Falco
  24. I always have a spare wheel and tyre that is the same as on the car. It then gets used / swapped so I don't end up with an old spare tyre. Thanks AG Falco
  25. Last car I changed it at 8 years and 96 K miles. Car still good at 17 years and 135 K miles. Present cars one has a chain and all good at 11 years and 120 K miles. Haven't heard reports of the present TSI engines with broken cam belts. Will inspect it in a few years time, at about 6-8 years old. It is Skoda UK that reccomed the 4 year change not the belt manufacture. Thanks AG Falco
