  1. Do you brake firmly or gently? Do you do long or short journeys? Is this getting worse the damper / colder it gets? Thanks, AG Falco
  2. Drum rear brakes also do not like going backwards first as well. Thanks, AG Falco
  3. Mine is doing the same. It helps if you go forward first to unstick them. You can also apply the handbrake gently while driving just before finishing the journey. This will dry them off before you leave the handbrake on for the night. Thanks, AG Falco
  4. Perhaps 3 Bar, then with a 2 Bar loss they would be at 1 Bar. If there is anything less than 1 Bar in a tyre then the tyre pressure is in a state of vacuum. Thanks, AG Falco
  5. The TPMS system does not measure tyre pressures. When it gets cold ( over night ) the pressure drops enough for the TPMS system to notice a change from the last time it was driven. Thanks, AG Falco
  6. You do have a timing belt but both water pumps are not connected to it. See here:- https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2016-797/1/121-121020/ and here:- https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2016-797/1/121-121021/ Thanks, AG Falco
  7. The system is best for noticing a quick change in rotational speeds. If there is no quick change in rotational speed it will not warn you. I have seen cars with half their correct tyre pressure but no warning. There are some people that rely on the yearly MOT to have their tyre pressures checked. Please note this is NOT checked in an MOT. Thanks, AG Falco
  8. I think this engine has two water pumps. One electrical at the front of the engine and one mechanical at the bottom end on the gearbox side. Which one? Thanks, AG Falco
  9. The suggestion in it was that perhaps two types of horn would be useful. One a polite toot and the other a loud wake the dead type. Thanks, AG Falco
  10. This would be a better plan:- Thanks, AG Falco
  11. This shows the main coolant pump:- https://7zap.com/en/catalog/cars/Skoda/brand/17/0/Fabia/Fabia (2016 - 2019)/Skoda/bkxoUzRUbHA1YUk4czZBM29VVThKdz09--/6bbffde8b5b8077d2d0a5796da6eea3c:b301ea1588abca427ac7d098867370b0/universal/10107->10188->10191/bkxoUzRUbHA1YUk4czZBM29VVThKdz09--::723121050::121005/bkxoUzRUbHA1YUk4czZBM29VVThKdz09--::723121050::121005 This shows where the coolant regulator / water pump is:- https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2016-797/1/121-121021/ Thanks, AG Falco
  12. Have you tried a TPS Depot? https://tps.trade/centre-finder Thanks, AG Falco
  13. You could try this:- Rotate the tyres to see if that makes any difference. Does the noise move after moving the tyres? When the wheels are off the ground grab the ARB drop links and push / pull them. One that has play in it will knock. When the wheels are up off the ground spin them by hand. At the same time put some fingers on the coil spring. If a wheel bearing is poor you can feel it in the spring Thanks, AG Falco
  14. MK I lower grill cover did not survive a moving animal attack. This also broke the lower grill behind it. So I have replaced the lower grill. Note you don't get the two spars above and below the Lidar Sensor in the middle of the grill when you buy one. On a good note the Lidar sensor is all good / no damage / still working. Don't know if the Mk I cover offered any extra crash protection to it. The new lower grill is now in place. I have also made the MK II upper grill cover that fits behind the grill. Can you see it? Thanks, AG Falco
  15. Although at one time there was a choice on rear brakes. Drum as standard and Disk at extra cost. I don't think this was on all models though. Thanks, AG Falco
  16. I haven't seen / heard of an EPB on the Fabia III thankfully. Thanks, AG Falco
  17. You can also easily rotate the tyres and wheels to any position you want. This can help with several issues. I run Vredestein Quatrac 5 as my winter tyres on one car and they are quieter than the summer I run. They also work very well in snow. Thanks, AG Falco
  18. My car ( Fabia III ) has an 027EFB 60AH which I can get for less than £100.00 here in the UK I looked up the price of an item for my car to come from Poland two weeks ago and delivery was quotes at £18.00 Today the cost of delivery for the same part £119.76. Brexit price? Hopefully the people that voted to leave the EU can pay the extra for me! Thanks, AG Falco
  19. How good is the relocated snow plough? Does it obscure the lidar sensor at all? Thanks, AG Falco
  20. Sounds more like there is a problem with the car that is affecting the battery? Thanks, AG Falco
  21. It might be suggesting this and assuming the battery is not connected to a car. The charger doesn't know what car battery it is being attached to. I have driven a car with this engine and was impressed with it. If the battery is loosing charge quickly then try disconnecting the battery if you don't plan to use the car for a while. This might indicate if the car is draining the battery when connected. Is the car left inside a garage? Is the car locked when not in use? Cars that are not used much always have battery problems, and the newer the car the worse it is. Thanks, AG Falco
  22. No, but understand the consequences before you do this. If you remove the small Black wire connected to the Negative terminal you wont need a Stop / Start Battery. I also always turn off the Stop / Start for every journey. You should NOT connect the charger to both terminals. The negative lead needs to be connected to the earthing post on the inside wing near the negative battery terminal. Note that the nut on the end of the post is painted and if you connect to this the battery wont charge. You can find details in the car handbook on this. Is the car a petrol or Diesel? Can you get the battery checked / tested first including the charging rate under load? You can get a devise that will plug in to the power outlet / cigarette lighter that can show the voltage in real time. I have a 2016 Petrol at 80,000 km with no problems with the original battery. Thanks, AG Falco
  23. This is a problem with better sealed cars. Just like houses with double glazing and no ventilation. With mine these things help:- Clean the windows thoroughly. I find that a hard rub with new unused paper hand towel after cleaning with window cleaner works. A dehumidifying bag on the front dash over night. When you start the car run the heater on hot with the AC on and directed at the screen. It also helps to open a window or two a crack. If you can try this:- Leave both front windows open about 1/2 inch all night with the alarm interior sensor off. You can put a car window sheet over the car. You will then find that because the temperature both inside and outside the windows are the same there is no condensation. Thanks, AG Falco
  24. Yes you do. A normal battery will die within 6 months. Check if it is an EFB or AGM Stop / Start type battery. Driving the car wont fully charge the battery by design! Are you using a battery charger that is suitable for a Stop / Start battery? Also, are you connecting the battery charger to both battery terminals? Thanks, AG Falco
