  1. Totally missed it ..!!!! still 27.00 Euro's for an official/OEM product is pretty decent and at least there is peace of mind it will fit unlike some universal ones
  2. I do a workaround where I set the Drivers to M1 in the 'Entry Mode' and once in I then have my normal driving position stored as M2, not sure if its meant to work like that as I thought it was due to which key you use but seems to always default by to M1 whenever I unlock it.
  3. o00oooo I didn't realise Skoda did their own ones, I have toyed with the idea of getting one, might have to invest in one Looks like SuperSkoda sell them for 20euros.....bargain http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-Universal-pad-under-child-seat-original-Skoda-Autoas
  4. Thanks Jeff, these are the products I use, I always use a detailing brush for cleaning the leather as it foams up much better then use several clean microfiber cloths to pat away the excess. I wouldn't go near the seats with a stiff brush..... The companies who can 'remove' creases nearly always use 1 of 2 methods from my experience. 1. Use a heat gun to careful warm the area and slowly pull the crease back to shape, this is repeated over and over again until the crease has gone 2. Similar to the above but with a steam gun (as mentioned), I have a pretty decent Karcher steamer but have never dare to try clean my seats with it....knowing my luck and all :D I guess everyone's 'wear' spots will always be different due to the fact we are all different shapes and sizes :)
  5. Funny how great minds think alike I was thinking the same thing the other day Mine has just turned over the 40k mark and the drivers seat is not longer looking its best, I am OCD and they get cleaned regularly with cleaner and a conditioner every couple of months (should have cleaned them before taking photos this time :D). The side bolster is actually holding up pretty well as are the seat bolster. The passenger seat doesn't get used too much and you can tell the difference between them in these photos, hopefully it won't affect resale value too much as I am looking to move it on this year. https://photos.app.goo.gl/WQnMZx5HTD7kHijA6 Another point to mention is I have a child seat permanently in the back of the car which gets used daily by my daughter. I took it out the other day to carry a car load of work colleagues to an event (they loved it btw) and when I took the car seat out it had the expected compression marks. I clean the area thoroughly + a condition. I was surprised, less than few days of the car seat not being in all the compression marks had gone. Pretty happy with that.
  6. Christ £140 for the headlight ..My stop startf ignition is starting to go faulty...I can probably only dream of a £140 bill to repair Sometimes at least 4 prods are needed to get some life out of the car other times it's perfectly fine Worried about taking it in as it's just out of warranty and for some reason DM Keith told me I wasn't eligible for extended cover with Skoda/Be as it wasn't purchased by the first owner when it was new (go figure) Anyone had this fixed out of warranty ?
  7. Quote of the year so far Back onto the subject matter Straight line the 280 will have the 245 beat Around the twisties i reckon they will be there or thereabouts the same. I was thinking of trading my 190CR L&K in for a 280 but then I learned a new revised / MK4 version is scheduled to be unveiled in Q4 this year This has given me the musicians equilvant to GAS... Hmmmmmzzzz
  8. I spotted that one when I was browsing and my eyes really did roll with dispear.... Initially I thought the little plastic control bit had snapped or come off (easy bodge fix) bit no...... Luckily they don't rattle heheh
  9. Afternoon all After a rather packed trip to the local tip something must have had a meeting with the rear drivers side air vent. The plastic part you use for directing the air has come off and all the internal 'fins' have fallen inside. From inspections nothing appears to have snapped off My initial thought is that I could use a trim removal tool to take the air vent out and reassemble (or attempt) Are there any hidden gremlins I should be aware of like springs and stuff before I take it apart ? I take it I'll have to remove the piano black surround ..if someone can advise where the clips are that would be great as I know you have to remove the ashtray it to get it out Found some second hand for not a lot of money but wanted to attempt a DIY fix before heading to Motorhog Many Thanks Exactly like this from a previous post
  10. Maybe mine have a fault as the drivers really doesn't get anywhere near as hot as my previous MK2s and my partners Tiguan.. I've haven't actually sat in the passenger seat with the heating on before but _she does say they ain't as good as in her car ...and I can definitely confirm when my driver's to her passenger seat ..!!! I wonder if the wrong fuse is in...or I might be talking total rubbish
  11. My L&K seats have never caused me an ounce of issue in the comfort department and I never seem to ache even after really long journeys They could do with a bit more side support for corners which is where to spotline seats come into their own. The other complaint I have (although minor) is the seat heating doesn't get nearly as hot as it should when compared to the ones in my partner's VW Tiguan.... But that's about it Both are comfortable but it comes down to personal preference at this level... Just wish they did sportlines seats in full leather like they did in earlier Ocy VRS models that would be the best of both worlds
  12. I personally have never seen a Superb with the Supernova alloys on, I was torn between them and the 19inch anthracite Sirus wheels I eventually bought It maybe worth contacting these guys as they sent me a mini video of the Sirus alloys before I purchased them http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/Wheels/SUPERNOVA-19´-original-Skoda-Autoas-rim-1PC
  13. For the man who has been meaning to buy a car Jack for some time this a mighty feat .... All cars should come with one , but nowhere to be seen .... Half hinched probably as my MK 2 Superb had simple jack under the boot floor
  14. Hey all My 65 plate Superb 190 DSG estate is ready for its first MOT in November, 18th to be presice It's covered 34560 miles currently and it got me thinking about my brake pads. Not sure if they actually need changing , it's not as sharp as 18months ago when I first got it and nothing flagged in the service which was 7 months ago, it's no slouch in slowing down I'm going to try and measure them but it's a pain without the proper equipment and fighting to get inside of the 19"Sirus alloys I had fitted Probably looking on getting them changed regardless , safety and all and 3 years is good innings I would have thought What has everyone found to be the best all round pads ? Many thanks
  15. What I am interested is if you can by just the 'Knurl' part on its own For some reason, and I have never figured out as to why the one of the drivers side has a little piece of plastic missing from it like it had an impact from something... Doesn't affect the usability but its send my OCD into overdrive
  16. Thanks All, Just a bit confusing as to why it was giving me an A/C warning when the A/C was not even on... Always assumed if it just on normal blowers and the temp set to low and the blowers basically doing nothing Basically the setup in this photo is Air- Con Turned Off 'Auto' - Turned Off Low Temp Low Fan Speed Interestingly over the past few days the Stop/Start has started to work again and none of the above settings have been changed its still set as Air- Con Turned Off 'Auto' - Turned Off Low Temp Low Fan Speed This is why in the back of my mind I was worried it could be a battery issue as they can be big ££££ to replace
  17. The Brown Leather does look great when its all clean
  18. This is a problem with Piano Black trim is that it scratches so easily.. when I first got mine (2nd hand) it was already a see of spider web scratches and marks. As I mentioned in a previous post that I will try to find. The plastic is very thin and therefor an abrasion is going to leave a mark Microfiber cloths come in varying GSM piles and the thicker the pile the more it will scratch as the surface is comparatively soft compared to clear coat Use a can of compressed air (cheap from amazon) and a vacuum to remove the dust Use something like glasses cleaner and apply to the surface direct, use a cloth to hold around the nossel of the can to avoid overspray on other equipment Always wipe in one direction with a really high quality glass cleaning cloth that is of lower GSM as possible without being cheap Never repeatably rub back and forth with a cloth as it will scratch, go in one direction in one motion, fold the cloth to a clean section and wipe in one direction again. Apply more cleaning product to leave a barrier of protection. Outside areas can be covered with a ClearBra to resist sratching I want to order new plastic trim for mine and maybe butcher something like a IPAD mini screen protector (not tempered glass) and install from new. Polishing the plastic will be nightmare There's a really good video from Amo that is worth watching
  19. So my Stop/Start hasn't worked in over a week in any condition In the information screen it shows the following https://photos.app.goo.gl/LM9HTzMPUUADDmMr9 But the A/C is not on Checked the owners manual which doesn't help at all , basically says the same Today it was 17 degrees not raining and the engine was hot and the temperature on normal fans on LOW. As always if you turn off the climate unit via Menu/Off the Stop Starts works I know it works and doesn't work under certain conditions but really ..?? I hope it's not a battery issue
  20. For the past few weeks I have noticed that the virtual Pedal just wasn't working anymore I used to get around 90% success rate Today I had some time to investigate. Got under the rear and cleaned the rear diffuser bit as I have read the sensor is located somewhere in the middle . Made no difference, under the car there is a piece of cable with 4 or 5 round black plastic bumps around 3mm in diameter running the width of the car, not sure what they are but cleaned them anyway Still nothing Using hands, feet and testing from the edge to middle , side to side and the preferred 'kick' motion Still nothing It maybe a trip to the dealer as I don't think there is anyway if basically 'resetting' the boot Hopefully a sensor fault will throw up an error once plugged in. It's still in warranty so hopefully won't be a massive issue Weird though ,all other methods such as the key and interior release work fine
  21. https://photos.app.goo.gl/aTf3B5dYws8rDaDT6 I travelled from Leeds to Lutterworth today with 3 adults on ACC all the way down and back and this was my average. I've never seen this The difference I didn't have any option but to put Shell V Power in , it's cost me so much more than usual but the results speak for themselves The last journey I did with me and a passenger got me 54mpg, that was on Morrisons diesel. Go figure I might have had a favourable tail wind, who knows ....it's the best I've seen on a long run which was a 229 miles round trip on the M1 and I set off at 6am from Leeds and got to Lutterworth at 08:00, no traffic just cruised at 70mph Mines a 190 CR DSG
  22. God knows how ? But one of the rear air vents no longer moves around freely and I can see 1 of the blades has fallen in. Looks like a simple fix..... Should I be aware of any springs and such if I used a trim removal tool to take apart? looks like I just need to clip the blades back in place but rather it didn't just explode on me when I take it out lol
  23. Thanks All, What I plan to do is tonight when it gets a lot dimmer is I'll try all the above and see what results it brings. Its a good point about the Key as well, I always use the black plastic one which covered in a key cover, however my partner took mine the other week and used the 'posh' key and said she had reset a lot of stuff because it moved... I don't think she understood the concept we usually just use the 1 key and she presses M2 to change the seats and mirrors Lets she what happens
  24. I have Uniroyal Rainsports 3's on mine and they are a noticeable step up in traction in the wet and a all round good tyre without blowing the budget. https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/uniroyal/rainsport-3/235/40/R19/Y/96/f?tyre=32695783
