Heated Seats Retrofit
Check breakers for seats and switches for central console. We have a 2015 Mk 3 Fabia SE without heated seats, sister in law has 2017 Mk3 Fabia SE with heated seats. Interiors are otherwise identical so could be a straight swap with some VCDS coding.

When accelerating, the car pulls to the right
A further thought, would ESC attempt to negate the effects of torque steer?

When accelerating, the car pulls to the right
Sounds like a suspension issue, possibly tracking or even incorrect tyre pressure. If it’s only a month old get the dealer to look at it.

Anyone running on CrossClimate 2 225/50R18 MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE 2 SUV ?
I’ve had Goodyear Vector All Seasons on a previous 2wd (front) and the grip in snow, slush and ice was very good. About 10 years ago I saw a tyre test video on an indoor ski slope, the All Season shod front wheel drive got further than the summer tyre shod 4x4 version of the same car. That convinced me of the merit of All Season tyres.

Dash Lights - Help Appreciated
Is it possible that the battery hasn't been coded to the car, that can produce some odd errors.

Tyre Pressure Warning Playing up
Just wondering if ambient temperature might be a factor. Pressures can rise 5 psi from cold by driving a few miles. So TPMS could report low pressure when first driving but tyres show correct pressure when checked after driving.

DSG for 1.0 tsi Estate ?
The DSG in the Fabia is the dry clutch DQ200, since 2016 these have been generally OK. However you mention a remap of your current Fabia. Be aware that VAG only fit the DQ200 to engines with a max torque output less than 250Nm that might be a consideration if you planned to remap it. If you look at the diesel Octavia with DSG make sure the gearbox has had its oil and filter changed every 40,000 miles. As nta16 says diesels do not like short journeys and need regular long high speed runs to keep EGR and DPF clean.

Space Saver Wheel - set-up advice
And it has to be said that is actually clever, and so easy to do - allowing access to tools without having to empty the boot,

Space Saver Wheel - set-up advice
@Ooopnorth I looked into my boot today. This was a factory build option, but I bought it 6 months old from a Skoda dealer, it was an ex-Skoda UK employee car. The net set were in an unopened plastic bag, tools as previous post; Jack, wheel wrench, plastic tweezers and P shaped wire tool to remove something (porbably towing eye covers). There was no towing eye or screw driver - I probably should have checked my carefully on handover before I drove away - water under bridge now. I have been able to store away quite a few extra items. I only discovered this today ! the plastic baffles with Velcro to hold stuff in place in the boot have molded stowage spaces. Towing eye from Ebay and screwdriver that I already had for some reason stowed in the molded spaces. I suspect some of the other molded spaces are for a 12v pump and bottle of trye sealing 'goo;.

To fold or not to fold - that is the question
A question for Karoq owners who reside in areas with regular winter snow and sharp frosts. The door mirrors on my Karoq are set to fold on locking. Not had a car with folding mirrors before and it sits outside at night. So twice this week I unlock the car and there is a 'crack' as the mirror motors break the ice as they unfold. The doors are frozen to the rubbers, and the windows are frozen to the runners. The doors can be freed with a gentle tap round the edges, the windows I can leave shut till the car warms up but the mirrors have to unfold when unlocking. What do owners in colder climates do? Do you leave the mirrors unfolded so as to remove any possibility of damaging the unfold mechanism?

Skoda "All-in-one" Package
Interesting. How 'old' is the private plate? I have a an 'N' reg plate (1995 year) on my Karoq, sounds as though that would make mine over 6 years old despite it really being 14 months old. I have a 2 year service plan so hopefully the All-in plan will still be around in 2 years time.

Reversing camera image - can you see the car's own number plate?
I think this could be a long running thread..... Today the reversing camera displayed an image which showed the whole of the number plate, I was taken by this view that I didn't pay any attention to whether it was low angle or narrow view! I pulled forward and selected reverse again and it was the more usual view with just the corners of the number plate showing. So my camera can show two different views as to what causes it, that still a work in progress!. The rear of the car was between two hedges. I have also noticed that there is a tiny bolt protruding from the side face of the camera next to the lens - could this be for adjusting the view?

Space Saver Wheel - set-up advice
My 4x4 Sportline doesnot have a styrene insert in the space saver spare, the styrene 'bits' fit either side of the spare wheel and have mouldings to hold the jack etc. Ive just ordered a towing eye off ebay, I'll check to see if my inserts are fixed down. According to the Digital Certificate the space saver and tool set was a factory fitted item.

Space Saver Wheel - set-up advice
@Ooopnorth with regard to the towing eye does it have a moulded position in the polystyrene boxes that go around the tyre? Having checked, I don’t have a towing eye so will have to acquire one.

Anyone running on CrossClimate 2 225/50R18 MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE 2 SUV ?
I previously used Autoglym Alloy wheel cleaner, switched to Magna and found it more effective. Haven’t tried the advanced wheel cleaner yet.

@Ooopnorth have you tried Autoglym wheel protector spray polish? I started using it on my previous car and carried on with the Karoq. It makes it very easy to rinse off road dirt etc. Usually do an autumn and spring application. Probably the other car polish makers have similar products.

Are sat nav and map updates free or a subscription
I bought a 6 month old Skoda in April 24, the renewal for connect and infotainment has just popped up as the first 12 months free period expires in Dec. I have renewed both - connect because it includes the tracker feature and the infotainment to keep maps up to date.

Start/Stop
I would add brake pedal pressure also influences stop/start, if, as some drivers do, slightly reducing brake pedal pressure a split second before the car stops, the S/S might not kick in, also if Auto Hold is switched off, S/S has activated slightly reducing foot brake pedal pressure will start the engine,

Space Saver Wheel - set-up advice
My Karoq came with the Space saver spare, it included jack, jack handle, wheel brace, plastic tweezers for wheel bolt caps, circular ring that had a leg with hook end. Don’t know what the last thing does - my previous VW had the same tool which removed the bolt covers. I don’t recall seeing a towing eye will have to check. I would recommend getting a wheel mounting rod off ebay. It’s a 6 inch long rod which screws into a bolt hole. Makes removing and fitting wheels much easier. Screw it into a bolt hole at the top and the wheel can simply be slid on and off. It takes the weight if the wheel when refitting leaving both hands free.

Karoq pictures
Couple of photos taken last night in an empty car park illuminated by LED lamppost!, after I'd spent all day applying AutoGlym Super Resin polish followed by a coating of HD wax to protect it for the winter. Wish I'd wiped the moisture off the windscreen though!

Intermittent creep issue
Thanks for the response. Our Fabia does have hill hold, the slope of our drive in front of the garage is just enough for it to roll back but not steep enough to engage hill hold. Based on your suggestion I have changed how I drive the Fabia into the garage. Foot on brake engage drive, release footbrake, position foot over throttle (but dont press) release handbrake and then it creeps forward with a little throttle. This seems to provide enough time for the DSG clutches to engage and to start the car moving. My current Karoq is the 2.0 TSI withe wet clutch DSG, my previous Touran was 2.0 TDI with wet clutch DSG, they both creep more readily, I was wrongly expecting the Fabia to behave the same. More importantly the DSG box is working correctly and it was the user at fault!

Cabin resonance/vibration in Karoq
Possibly a Dual Mass Flywheel issue?

Intermittent creep issue
We have a 2015 1.2 TSi 110 bhp DSG Fabia. I’ve always found that it doesn’t creep very well especially relevant when parking close to a solid object or when putting it away in the garage. What happens is I select D, wait a few seconds, foot off the brake pedal, if it starts to creep forward it’s OK but more often that not it rolls back so a bit of throttle and it starts to creep forward, then the clutch disengages the revs rise to 1500 drop back to 900, clutch engages immediately disengages revs rise and fall without any change in throttle pedal position. Mileage is 19,000, ex Motability car which had just 900 miles recorded when I bought it. Just wondering if it’s a Mechatronics or Clutch packs issue. Normal driving is fine.

Fabia Turbo lag
I’d suggest filling up with a couple of tank fulls of Shell V-Power unleaded. We have run our 110bhp Fabia from day 1 on V-Power and it seems to go amazingly well. It’s the earlier 4cyl motor and DSG so perhaps that also makes a difference. Continuing along memory lane the Mk 3 110bhp Fabia performance stats match, maybe even better those of the Mk 1 Golf GTI. The performance stats for the current 2.0TSI Karoq match those of the original Audi Quattro, although I suspect the Quattro would corner better!

High beam assist & Traffic sign recognition
I have a 2023 Sportline - it has the Mattix lights which are excellent, lighting up the verge on the nest side, they have a very sharp horizontal cutoff which covers the full width of the road. They seem to illuminate road signs on gantries really well. High beam assist I have on all the while and so far no annoyed oncoming traffic. So much more light. TSR can be retrofitted, cost around £180, BUT only if the vehicle has the QK1 camera and doesn’t require an Authorisation Code from Skoda to unlock the coding. My 2023 build Sportline required the unlock code which Skoda don’t release, so couldn’t get it retro fitted. Not sure exactly of the year, possibly 21/22 and earlier Karoqs don’t need the unlock code. @cjp suggest you contact someone like Hazzydayz who I used. They have a brilliant techie who really knows his stuff.
