  1. Afaik the Scout has the 272’s as it has IRS. Only the torsion beam cars have the 253’s and the vRS 245 has the 310’s. Mine has 310’s but I fitted them lol. Manual wind back for piston is fine as there is no EPB.
  2. You can convert back to gas struts but why would you want to? I love my power boot so much I retrofitted it, converted from gas struts. Have the car scanned and see what the issue is, if you have a bad strut they aren’t too expensive to replace used. I think I paid €300 for both of mine nearly new. If you wanted to go gas struts you would have to buy and install a new boot latch, new ball joints and gas struts and decode 6D from the gateway.
  3. It uses the lumbar support to move around your back, in the coding I can see the massage option on my controller 5Q0959760A but it doesn’t do anything when I press the number 3 button. From information I have found the correct module needs to be fitted and the number 3 button will actuate the massage even without the correct button, but that’s the PQ platform as I haven’t been able to find any info for MQB. If someone with the massage seats could check the controller part number that may help us all out. I thought mine was a 3Q0 but I can’t read haha
  4. I have the 3Q0 controller and the coding is there for massage but it doesn’t work when the number 3 button is pressed. If anyone with the massage seat can scan the controller, it would be an amazing help. Thanks.
  5. Thanks, I had seen that one but I’ve decided to keep the Octy for at least another year. Various reasons really, mostly because it’s so hard to get another car with the spec mine has for decent money. Mine has loads of options on it and it’ll fit us for a wee while longer so may as well keep it until I can get away with something totally different. I thought about it but I can’t justify more than about £350 per month on a car, I just don’t want to pay more than that personally and mine is paid for now so I’ve decided to enjoy at least another year of not having a car payment every month instead.
  6. Having driven both I really didn’t think the 280 was worth the extra. If I found 2 identical cars and they were equal in spec and price I’d have the 280 but there are so few of them anyway and what I found is most people and or dealers for demo purposes added no options at all on the 280 SportLine to keep the price at list, £39,995 to avoid the tax hike whereas the 280 L&K was already over £40k list so no worries there. I found the petrol SportLine’s all either barren for spec or loaded with expensive options like the glass roof but not the heated windscreen which was £300. Power wise they were very similar up to about 70 mph and from there the 280 pulled away but you can get 300 on a stage 1 with the IS20 and 350 on a stage 2 so the 220 can be made to keep up with the 280 and the IS38 is bolt on so it’s only the 4x4 you lose and I really didn’t find any benefit to having it, the FWD car can still handle the power fine, use all of it and it’ll spin the wheels and under steer but so will the 4x4 cars. I’d like a 4x4 for the extra kerbweight for towing but otherwise I wouldn’t get hung up on it. The OP is in the same position as me, I couldn’t live with the base SportLine spec as it’s missing some key options but I couldn’t bring myself to buy an L&K quite yet so for me, short of a very well optioned SportLine coming up I’ll be in a different brand of car next.
  7. Ahh but you can Either via ODIS or a quick hack. I have it on my 2014 Octavia vRS. It's hardly worth it though haha, I never use it!
  8. Rear camera is a super easy retrofit. The SportLine is an odd trim level, the initial release was a single spec, for MY19 the range diversified with SportLine getting a spec reduction and the Plus model picking up where the old spec left off and added some essential options like heated seats. Where the SportLine lacks for me is the lack of lane assist as standard, this is such an omission on a car of this price, especially as the Mk3 Octavia vRS which is several thousand £ cheaper and an older model of car got it as standard. Only the Plus gets heated seats as standard and the power bootlid, heated screen and front sensors are other essential options IMO. The facelift cars have the A5 camera for Dynamic Light Assist as standard from SE-L and above so that’s an improvement. Don’t discount the L&K, the spec is killer, there’s a reason they are so desirable.
  9. When I was looking I was tripping over 1.5’s and not finding any 2.0’s. I would go 2.0 any day, as impressive as the smaller engines are, I always felt the caveat that it was good for a small engine but the 2.0 feels significantly stronger.
  10. You haven’t, it’s just that I’ve only had one FL Superb in and it had the Amundsen and didn’t have this message. Hopefully some other FL owners may be able to help.
  11. This is a new one on me, looks like there is a second page on that message. Mine doesn’t have this screen, looks like an FL Superb. Is Skoda Connect active? Seen custom messages on that.
  12. Unfortunately that wouldn’t work, can either take them off and have custom tips or use a TSi exhaust and TSi tips to correct the issue. I can see the exhaust outlet within the tips so it bothers me to see it looking wrong. Not high up the list but would like to correct if I can.
  13. The diesel tip doesn’t get the heat out from the exhaust effectively and it melts the Rieger diffuser. I could use the extension tip but it looks so obvious and wonky so would rather a proper system if one comes up cheap enough.
  14. Not sure where you are but I’d be interested in the rear sections with the Y piece if priced right. They aren’t very valuable unfortunately, someone on the Mk3 group got a whole exhaust for £0.99!! I won’t insult you with an offer that low but I’m interested if it’s cheap just so my TDI doesn’t have a fraud tip haha.
  15. Turn the car off, back on, rescan every module and clear all errors until they are gone. If you keep getting the same errors or errors will not clear, check all the coding again.
  16. The cluster for MY17 isn’t capable, has to be an MY18 cluster, not sure if firmware is flashable.
  17. This is very interesting! Is the process the same for MIB2 STD? Thanks for taking the time to do this.
  18. Will do! Will be while though as the BCM is out of the car now and I’m on the old one. It’s stuck at my Dad’s and I can’t get it haha. Don’t have a backup handy I don’t think. Thanks
  19. I’m going to gave to look at this again as it didn’t change with the mode on my car, but then again the mode button wasn’t lighting up correctly and although it did change the mode, the BCM wasn’t coded like that when I bought it, suggesting that the car it came from may not have had the correct PR code for drive mode and that could be the issue rather than the Gateway. Interesting. This doesn’t seem to work on the 530G version Gateway cars, the option isn’t in the Gateway.
  20. I’ve just re read this, are you saying the automatic function works on your car? Other than the individual mode? I appear to be running the same BCM and Gateway but mine does not work, Automatic option appears but the colour does not change with the mode. In any case I can flash, but interested to know if yours is working with L revision Gateway as mine isn’t. Thanks
  21. If this is successful I’d love to know as then I can get it working on mine too
  22. External MOST
  23. It wouldn’t. Your description sounds like a MIB1 and you need a MIB2 to support this screen.
