Many of you have reached out to me wondering if there is an update and I’m relieved to say that there finally is. Dealing with Fords of Winsford has been like pulling teeth and whatever happens with the car I would never recommend them to anybody!! I’ve had to demand my deposit back twice just to get a date to even see the car but we finally have a collection slot, Saturday at 9am. However, because they are only offering a pay in full test drive and I don’t believe that their 100 mile no quibble return makes the customer whole should they return the car I have been forced to make a decision based on the cars condition and I’ve decided that if it’s anything less than perfect I’ll have to leave it there and buy a different car from somewhere else. So it’s not as certain as it was nearly 2 weeks ago when I paid the deposit but at least I’ll be able to make a proper decision at last.

I would go used genuine from eBay before pattern parts myself. Plenty of cheap used options from breaker cars.

They just need a pull on the Octy. It’s hard to describe as I’ve done so many of them now but I know exactly where to pull to release the clips but it all pulls off. Start from the back, remove the seat base and the clips there for the plastic trims and pull from there to the front and all will release itself.

I’m afraid I can’t help yet but please keep going on this as it’s a mod I’m really ready for when I collect my Superb next week!! Would love to join the FL rear light group like I have with my Octy. Good luck!

That byte will be 02 for manual and A2 for DSG. Coding alterations will largely depend on dataset so you can’t alter too much within the coding.

Not sure TJA was offered on the PFL Superb, would go to someone with VCP to flash TJA parameters to get it going.

TJA only works with the ACC on (if fitted) if you don’t have TJA you can have it flashed with VCP.

Main dealer wouldn’t do it but it can be activated via coding if you have the hardware for it, which you will if you have HBA and TSR.

It would need the whole module and camera setup unfortunately, I’ve not seen any OEM integration of a front camera, maybe an aftermarket one somewhere though.

It’s much easier to use donor seats with heaters already in, then wiring loom from Kufatec (reversed from the instructions as they are for LHD) and climate panel with seat heat buttons and code.

Check the wiring at the top but it sounds like a dead strut. They are easy to replace and not expensive used.

Ahh I remember seeing that thread now. Would go down that route if I wasn’t swapping the screen for heated anyway. Nice job.

Electric seats are actually very easy to fit, done it to mine But yeah, non electric is far more common. It’s only power to add on each side and CAN on the drivers side and a drop of coding.

Wow, your benefit indeed!! I only have to pull a lever and the bar drops down which is a major boon for me as a caravan is our next big purchase and it’ll go well behind this

That’s the parts, will see how hard it is to fit and if it’s not bad it could be something I can offer as an option. Does yours have the factory tow bar? Mine has the proper folding one so I’m hoping the mount behind it for the sensor doesn’t affect it, I have to pull the lever in the boot to sort it so no biggie if it did try to close. Have used it on cars with folding bar and it’s never tried to close on my head but mine might haha It is bigger, yes. How did you mount the A5 cam? In a HBA mirror? I’m swapping the screen anyway to get heated screen so will do both in one. Sounds like some good mods

They don’t which is why I had to have one in this colour. It’s under £50 to fit the virtual pedal with AliExpress parts so I’ll do a buy haha.

For MY20 and 21 is it not the case that you can run the coding as per the facelift Octy for the DRL stripes? I’ll give it a go on a facelift I have in for a camera soon.

Will see if I can find the bits for it. I know from the Octy now what’s useful and what’s frivolous on them now. I’ll be happy with just the rear cam for now I love my VC in the Octy so I’ll be doing that for sure, virtual pedal is really cheap retrofit to be fair so would like it as I’ve used it on other cars and it’s handy when it works. DCC I’ve never seen the benefit of myself, I hardly feel the difference with it personally and it’s an expensive fit on these so that one probably won’t happen. Was tempted by an L&K for all the toys but this SportLine Plus has just enough to keep me happy and build from.

Good luck; the part number is listing on the front of the motor butted up against the glass so you’ll have to go in from the bottom right corner to see the wiring loom. If you have 3 wires (which you will if it’s not working correctly) you’ll need the mirror motor. I’ll send you the coding from my Superb which will likely have the same door controllers as your car when I collect it so you can see the exact coding.

They do! I’ll put it together in bits tbh as it’s easier if I’m going to do it. It’s not really needed though, rear cam and mirror drop is fine for me but cool to have it all! I’m happy with the price considering the premium the colour and the spec, being a ‘Plus’ over the older SportLine carries. It does but the VCP mod doesn’t work on cars this new which is a bugger so may have to backdate the boot controller to one that does allow it as I’ll miss that from the Octy.

Haha that’s true, thanks Thanks, yeah the colour is the bomb and it’s the only colour to have them in. I was willing to forgive some things to have this colour.

You can use the smaller cameras but these aren’t as good as the larger ones, no OEM options for these. AliExpress is full of them, I won’t link as they chop and change daily but really any of them will do
