  1. I have just changed my Octavia vRS with the 184 TDI for a Superb with the 190 TDI and blow me it’s much faster than the Octy!! No idea why and I didn’t see that coming at all. I love mine, it’s a bit of a shame in a way it won’t be used as much as the Octy so I won’t be taking as much advantage of the ACC and other toys as I would if I was still on my old commute but even with reduced mileage I enjoy the extra space and thought put into the design. A pay rise for whoever designed the little cargo dividers. Keep my bag upright in the boot so nothing falls out.
  2. That is a whole lot of yes! Thanks so much, looks fab
  3. I would go with the newer one on the basis of assured continued support. To update you if you made it this far and haven’t seen the Superb thread, the first Superb was no good so I found a much better Facelift one. Thread below
  4. Thanks, but unlike the Octy thread there won’t be many changes, certainly not for a while. Partly because it’s new to me, partly because it’s a nearly new car anyway but mostly because it has almost every option I want already fitted. Thanks Thanks Still super stoked to have found it tbf.
  5. Will be no problem after the vRS which was lowered 40mm haha Ooh please do. Would love to see one on an actual car
  6. Yeah it has, I wasn’t sure about this to start with and I do have an older pair of mirror glasses to test if I prefer it in the glass but I don’t think I’ll bother as it was nice and easy to see in the new position.
  7. Thanks, definitely really happy. This car was sent out on journalist duties at least once in its early life with the VW group which is quite fun so you can see more of it below!
  8. Collection day has finally come around and I’m super stoked to be a Superb owner at last! I only grabbed a couple of pics as I was hoping it would be light and dry when I got home to take more but it was neither. Here it is on the forecourt It’s a MY2020 Facelift Superb SportLine Plus 2.0 TDI 190 DSG with the following options Exclusive Dragon Green paint Supernova wheels Virtual Pedal Reverse cam with washer Spare wheel Virtual Cockpit All of which put the list price at pennies under £40,000 which is nuts considering what I paid and the paltry 6560 miles it had when I collected it this morning. The 260 mile trip home was fabulous and I look forward to a much quieter build thread compared to my Octy as it has so much spec there is little to do, but I’ll be sorting a few things for sure! Badges are a start and some cool lighting mods too. More soon
  9. New car collected today, new thread started as I don’t want this one confusing the 2 cars (the one I didn’t buy and the one I did) so will be asking for this one to be locked
  10. Yeah they should be there. One on each side
  11. They do, but they won’t confirm it fits the SportLine model but it appears the L&K also has the same bumper with the sculpted bottom bit so it’s on the list
  12. PLA 3.0 is 360 sensors and self parking, trailer assist is where it parks itself with a trailer which you need PLA 3.0 and the correct rear camera for.
  13. You can’t buy them separately unfortunately. I retrofitted this to my Octy and I had to straighten the bar on that, was no problem to do it.
  14. What options does it have? In a brief nutshell, this is the standard kit over the SE Half leather/alcantara sports seats Ambient Lighting Keyless entry and go 19 inch Vega wheels Columbus 3D navigation system Adaptive cruise control Equipment such as front park sensors, CANTON, reverse camera, tow bar, heated seats, heated screen, lane assist (or HBA or TSR), 360 sensors, self parking, variable floor (estate), tri zone climate, DCC, virtual pedal, pan roof etc are all optional.
  15. It probably is on an L&K and there’s every chance the splitter is cross compatible but I’d like to know for sure before committing to £150 odd with the postage, especially if it isn’t going to fit as I can’t imagine the market will be big for it if it doesn’t fit a SportLine. Would have appreciated a clearer reply from Maxton really, would have answered my question and I could have moved on!
  16. I did a camera fitting on an SE-L and it doesn’t have the sticky out bits hence my worry.
  17. Yeah the L&K does seem to share the SportLine Plus bumper and rear diffuser now and the Maxton splitters appear to show the sticky out bits but as Maxton refuse to answer a simple question over what cars their product is designed to fit I can’t take the risk. Rieger advertise the splitter as fitting the SportLine and show it as such but I’m not a fan of how much it sticks out at the sides in some of the pics. If Maxton would confirm fitment or I could return one to a UK distributer without charge I would be ok. They have some clearance ones in and they are non returnable but if they fit then I’d go for one as I do prefer the Maxton v1. Might take the risk.
  18. The Facelift SportLine bumper certainly is different unfortunately The Maxton site shows a car with a piece of bumper sticking out like this but the car is a non SportLine and they have neither confirmed nor denied when I asked directly via email that their splitter fits the SportLine, they just said ‘they fit the cars we state they fit’ which isn’t helpful as they don’t state that it does or doesn’t fit the SportLine. It’s also annoying that they do a rear lip for for the hatch and the non SportLine but not the SportLine which is the trim level more likely to be chosen by someone who would want a lip spoiler.
  19. I did, they only have their copy of the Maxton one which is for the non SportLine which I think is just such an odd decision as I’ve yet to see a splitter (or hear of demand for one) on a non SportLine car.
  20. Anyone know of a splitter or bodykit for a Facelift SportLine? Maxton have, rather oddly, decided to base the facelift front splitter on the standard bumper and not the SportLine one which is annoying. I did email them to ask about SportLine fitment but they weren’t helpful. So with the facelift having been out a good 18 months (and Maxton already having done a styling kit for the Mk4 vRS, showing they aren’t slow) does anyone know of another supplier doing styling additions for the newer Superb SportLine? The Rieger one is growing on me but it means dealing with online autosport to get one in the UK and I can’t be bothered with them after my Rieger rear diffuser order for the Octy. Thanks everyone
  21. It’s a Superb amp, so maybe 🤔 not really sure on how cross compatible these are. It lives under the passenger seat.
  22. I can do an MPG recalc, but I don’t think there is a way via coding only to recalibrate the speedo.
  23. The Carwow review is hugely misleading as usual from them. The car in the video is a 2020 model and not a 2021. If they spent less time trying to make a knock off low budget comedy show and more time confirming the spec of the cars they test then they would know that 🙄 The 2021 cars all have the MIB3 with no CD or SD inputs and all USB-C. The 2020 cars (other than the iV I’m lead to believe and some interlopers as the dates never quite line up in my experience of Skoda model years) have the MIB2.5 with SD slots and USB inputs.
  24. The Supernova wheels are my preference actually so it’s much better for me haha
  25. The 2021 Superb’s still use these screens but are running MIB3. So USB-C, no SD and no DVD drive.
