  3. Don’t get a new one if you can’t get the parameter file from a Passat as they don’t come with the parameter data on them.
  4. You need a parameterised 3Q0 seat control module and a coding tool to do the basic settings, it’s not a simple tweak if you have 5Q0 seat controller which you will have if you have a non massage seat from factory.
  5. Do you have the menu on the MIB1? I have done a few MIB1’s and I’m aware it works but there is no menu. There is also a control module incorrectly coded error if done on the Harman Columbus but it does work, though Columbus has 6 channel audio so centre speaker and sub upgrade as well as 5 channel EQ is doable on those.
  6. If you are doing with OBDEleven it’s not powerful enough to alter the steering module coding. Do that with VCDS or above and it’ll work for you.
  7. I’m fitting it myself and then calibrating the ACC myself as well because I have the gear for it. It’s easy to bolt a bar on yourself if it has tow bar prep as all the wiring to the boot is there, you just need module and wiring to the bar. If you want the folding one, you need the handle and trim to match as well.
  8. Find another Skoda dealer, this happens all the time. No reason the ORIS folding bar can’t be fitted. My car is getting one and I don’t have the pre wiring.
  9. I have done several 2020 Superb’s and a 2021, the 2021 is a bit different but the 2020 is the same as the earlier ones but easier on SE-L and above as you unbolt the tailgate trim and you can remove the camera on your lap rather from inside the bootlid.
  10. Wheel controls require a High CAN Gateway which needs CP removal and FeC reassignment and after that you need the buttons and airbag loom for the buttons. If you have a MIB2 the 8 inch screen is plug and play.
  11. Personally I think it’s only the dealers who are winning. Used car prices are only strong if you can offer the finance and a warranty to get as close to that new car experience as you can. If you own a nearly new car you are in a strong position to change it early and get a deal on a new car but if you are thinking of a private sale I would suggest the market is too small to be worth the time it would take to find one of the very few buyers with £18-20k to spend on a ‘normal’ car in either cash or an unsecured loan and are willing to buy privately with the lower amount of protection that comes with.

  14. I’ve got the part number from a 2020 L&K for mine, should be ok. I’m just waiting for it to arrive now. pACC is just FeC/SWaP on the radar and A5 cam. I’m hoping to sort it on mine soon 😊
  15. Part number is a non DAB MIB1, MIB2’s would have a 5Q0 part number. All Amundsen’s can take a camera, picture isn’t the best on the MIB1 though as screen is 240x400.

  18. For extra braking distance when towing. All the safety systems need to be coded for the towbar.
  19. Personally I would go hard or go home and get the proper Skoda Oris foldable bar as you’ll need the ACC recalibrated after fitting any towbar anyway and the foldable one is extra handy
  20. It’s only an option to have signs on the VC with TSR unfortunately, it would have to have been specified from new or it’s a case of paying to have it enabled.
  21. The airbag loom needs changing, that’s the easy bit. The CAN Gateway needs changing and that’s the biggie as it has component protection.
  22. If it’s a 2020 facelift car it is now and FeC and the best quote I’ve had for enabling is €400 with €320 extra for pACC. If you have a pre facelift car it’s a DIY job with OBDEleven PRO.
