Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus Facelift
SashaGrace replied to SashaGrace's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks! The colour is the stand out feature for sure. Annoyingly it now has a mark by the badge as the paint has been repaired in this area before and not very well so now it needs doing again properly!! If you have a car without rear door controllers you need to tap into a live and a switched ground that doesn’t power when the door is closed. If you have a car with rear door controllers you can pin to those and code. -

More mods completed today, badges and genuine LED light unit installed in the glovebox as that’s the only one that wasn’t an LED inside already. The Kodiaq rear lettering is slightly bigger than the Superb one but it’s hardly noticeable and I quite like it. Also added the rear door lights and used OE LED panels in all the doors. More mods to come 😁 Rear door lights added, essential option IMO. Black badges installed And key mod completed -
Triple R Composites Front Splitter
SashaGrace replied to aratic's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
The Maxton rear diffuser is a bit melty, but the splitters and side skirts are very good indeed. Rieger is the king of quality for these but I prefer the Maxton front splitter for the FL Superb. TRC are good, my Dad has a front splitter from them for his Ibiza but it’s GRP where Maxton and Rieger use ABS which I think is a better material being lighter and more flexible, something very important for a front splitter. -

FL SE-Tech and SE-L now have leather. Missed that one out -
No worries, let us know if foot wave to close works on that firmware

The Superb has a funny set of options in terms of seats. The base cloth seats are fitted to the S and PFL SE. (They only offered the FL S for MY2020, it’s since been dropped). These seats are fitted to the FL SE. The half leather/alcantara seats are fitted to the PFL SE Business/SE Tech and SE-L Executive. The full leather seats were optional on cars with half leather and standard on the L&K Then the SportLine and SportLine Plus seats are half leather/alcantara sports seats. -

It’s just another connection option, so you can pick between AA and MirrorLink. System is slightly different in terms of UI and options.
-
That’s it. If you have heated screen and washer keys, don’t forget the wires for that feature on the scuttle.
-
On the few cars I have with CarPlay, it’s not like that, phone usually keeps on going.

iPhones use CarPlay, not MirrorLink. If you want more apps than CarPlay offers you will need a jailbroken iPhone and CarBridge.

280 SL Exec - Purchase advice
SashaGrace replied to Supertyke's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
The SportLine barely rides any lower and a lot of L&K’s have 19’s so don’t rule out a SportLine on that basis. The spec is odd on the pre Plus SportLine though. L&K is a killer spec and there are one or two 220 and 280 L&K Estates out there. It’s definitely worth the extra over the SE-L Exec. -
I have no idea, still feeling my way around the intricacies of Superb retrofits.

The auto button is handy if you have a heavy item to pick up from the boot, so you hit the A button, get your item and walk away and the boot closes which is slightly easier in some scenarios than the foot wave but yeah, mine is J revision with S revision software and it closes via foot wave as well. M and Q are Tiguan/Arteon controllers.
-
Yeah there is a different close button with 2 buttons on it, one regular and one auto button so you can press the auto button and it beeps, you empty the boot and when you are done and the key is out of range it closes the boot by itself. You need to replace the button, add a few wires from the switch to the bootlid controller which lives behind the trim on the left side of the boot and swap that out for an M or Q revision one.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
SashaGrace replied to boydeee's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
The 2021 SportLine has it now, but I don’t fancy the 2021 wheel swap as the view button issue still hasn’t been fixed. Mine is a 2020.
