  1. At last it’s properly prepared for family life; rubber mats and transmission tunnel mat installed and another good clean and protect completed. Orders done for many goodies and SuperSkoda cart strategically prepared for the 2kg limit when the sale starts, hopefully tomorrow 🤞
  2. The 1.5 does have a GPF but for town driving these have not been as bad as the DPF.
  3. If you are happy with a manual, sounds like a deal
  4. The early 1.5 TSI used to be very rough and cough on pull away but they fixed that a while ago. That mileage you would deffo be better with a petrol and the new turbo petrols are really impressive
  5. I found the 1.5 quite acceptable considering as it’s a big car but not heavy. But the old 1.4 was really impressive, felt that had a bit more get up and go but the 1.5 is still very smooth and efficient, it’s a competent engine now the kangarooing issues of the early ones are gone.
  6. I would never have a manual daily and once you have a DSG, you’ll never have a normal slush box again, it’s uncanny!
  7. The MIB3 has been known to be buggy, hence why I asked as that could be one of the bugs. I’m glad my car, although a facelift, has the MIB2.5 as that is a bit more tried and tested.
  8. Yeah they have the 8 inch screen but an Amundsen, not a Columbus. Only the Columbus has the CD drive and the Jukebox which is a hard drive that you can use to load CD’s directly onto the car so you don’t need to insert them again once saved.
  9. The mirror switch has been a VAG staple for years and something you just get used to. The MIB3 issues are frustrating as none of the issues you mention apply to my MIB2.5. But surely when someone calls you it appears on the Maxidot anyway and it stays on the call screen with options and then goes back to speed when you end the call? That’s what my car does with the MIB2.5 and VC.
  10. My DQ250 was solid and they are one of the best DSG’s, very reliable in my experience. We had 2 in the family both big milers, the Passat is still going strong with 170k miles on it, mine was great with 133k when sold.
  11. I mean you could use a hand held CD player with the Aux line in but you would have the trouble of mounting it somewhere where it is reachable and steady enough not to damage the CD’s while driving. Unfortunately whether we like it or not, CD’s are a thing of the past and digital media is the way forward. The newest Superb’s don’t have an SD slot or Aux line in as those are now old technology, USB-C is the only input on the MIB3. What spec is your Superb?
  12. Would be a DQ250 6 speed. Mine was fab in the Octy but the DQ381 7 speed in my Superb is slightly quicker to shift and it has a taller final drive with the 7th ratio.
  13. Age; the DQ381 7 speed wet clutch didn’t come with all the diesels until MY2019.
  14. Yeah this car doesn’t have ACC else that would be in the menu too, it only has front assist which does as I described above.
  15. They couldn’t. If you don’t have a CD player and you really want one, talk to forum member Pab567 and he can prep you a radio that does have a CD drive in it (a MIB2 or 2.5 Columbus) but expect to pay around £900 for a radio unit prepared for your car not including the screen. You can buy many years of Spotify to stream anything you like via SmartLink for that price
  16. Perhaps in other parts of the world but not in the UK, it wasn’t available for most of the production run, was only available on the Passat. I’ve had to flash it on several 3V’s with the Passat dataset.
  17. Someone else who agrees!! I feel the exact same about it, but all I ever get on the Superb owners page on fb (a very happy bunch they are!) is grief over that view point. They don’t seem the modifying type though so maybe that’s why.
  18. Unfortunately, still very! They are hard to find with the towbar but it’s very much worth it.
  19. As above, all L&K’s have it but it’s super rare on the SportLine and SportLine Plus. Facelift they all have it from SE-L and above.
  20. If you get too close to the car in front the mileage on the cluster will go away and a little picture will appear telling you to back off. It’ll also beep at you loudly if it thinks you are going to hit the car in front. It’ll also do an emergency stop for you if you don’t take action but I wouldn’t rely on that bit.
  21. The Facelift has Travel Assist Package as an option which comes with TJA but it’s £1200. Sounds like a good compromise would be a pre facelift with an A5 camera and I can code anything that’s missing for you including TJA. Yeah you wanna be glad you avoided it, I was the first person to put a deposit on it. Was a right heap.
  22. In reality I wouldn’t overthink it though, I spent months trying to get a car with all the options I wanted and it just wasn’t possible, there was always something missing as they are used cars. L&K has a killer spec and certainly includes the spec you appear to be after
  23. SportLine cars never have TSR as standard!! Even L&K’s don’t pre facelift. I cannot stress enough how rare it is to find a SportLine with the A5 camera. If you have the A5 camera you can code lane assist, high beam assist and traffic sign recognition on a pre facelift, you cannot do TSR on a facelift without FeC. Things are starting to get confused with options so I’ll try and break it down. Lane Assist - this gets you lane assist for nudging you back into lane if you start to wander AND adaptive lane guidance which keeps you centred. Traffic Jam Assist - this is a separate option which was never available on the PFL Superb, only the VW’s of the era and this keeps the Lane Assist on under 40 mph with the ACC on if you go into traffic below that speed whereas the LA switches off without this option. It needs VCP to flash the Passat B8 dataset if you want it. Virtual dash came as an option on the PFL for MY19 as well, and can be retrofitted. I had one in my 2014 Octavia
  24. Yes it can, 5F Byte 11 change to Hex 04
