  1. I'm not quite sure how many times this has been posted on here...
  2. Ok, I'm not sure that answers it fully as my understanding was that some PCP's can stipulate that all servicing is only carried out by a main dealer. I guess if an individual's PCP doesn't mention anything then as long as it's done on time they obviously don't care when the car is returned.
  3. Whilst on this subject I read on one of the car magazine sites (Autocar or What car, something like that) that if on PCP the final value of the car is based on may things but one of those is having the car serviced by Skoda main dealers. In other words if it doesn't have full Skoda history they can subtract £££'s from the final value. I don't know whether that is true or if anyone has experience of it but it might be something to be wary of if your car is on PCP. If it isn't an issue then definately find a reputable Indy and use them...
  4. Naw, not for me, makes the whole car look too dark. Or maybe it's because it's out of focus and raining! I really like those Serpens though, very tasty.
  5. I would have thought the car data must come in on the Canbus direct from the ECM as the PID operates regardless of whether the radio is on or not. I think you should be safe putting an aftermarket ICE in there. Obviously if you do that you will have no media or phone capability other than that which may come with the new radio.
  6. I must admit I am very tempted with one...
  7. ^^^ This is the real reason I think - a turbo Citigo would kill the Up sales and we can't have that, can we?

    I'm impressed!

From the Citigo manual: When driving on slopes, HHC allows you to move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal without having to use the handbrake. The system holds the brake pressure produced by the activation of the brake pedal for approx. 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. The brake pressure drops gradually the more you operate the accelerator pedal. If the vehicle does not start off within 2 seconds, it starts to roll back. The HHC is active as of a 5 % slope, if the driver door is closed. HHC is always only active on slopes when in forward or reverse start off.

Beat that - 38 years ago! And I second that, it's a super little car, in fact I drive it more often than the VRS. Great choice for your first car, you won't forget this one in a hurry...
  11. Been using them for some time now, excellent company. Absolutely love the Kamei roofboxes as well. I need to get some new bars for the VRS but this was my previous setup:
  12. Exactly what I mentioned in a previous post. I eventually booked mine in as it has the extended warranty - only to find out, as usual, that the warranty is pretty much worthless. "Items subject to water penetration are not covered". Pretty much everything not physically inside the cab then. Anyway, the service boys had a look at it FOC and managed to improve the reception by a large amount. Earthing, maybe? Not sure but it was much improved...for about 2 months. It is now back to just about unusable. I have now given up and just listen to my own music on an SD card in the PID. Nothing much worth listening to on FM anyway. As a side note, a work collegue bought one of the last Yetis. These are fitted with the same aerial amp system. He told me the other day it went back in as radio reception had failed. New aerial base and amp fitted under warranty. Roof lining now looks like a dog chewed it. The car is just eight months old... Utter rubbish.
  13. I've got the VRS but I still won't get rid of the Citigo - cracking car, Grommit!
  14. A few of us have had issues:
  15. The Elegance and SE L have the highest specs. My Elegance has pretty much every toy available but I am not sure what is standard and what is optional. Certainly electric mirrors and heated seats are standard on these models. Mine also has an electric sunroof, parking sensors and cruise control but I think they are all options...
  16. Having done quite a bit of testing I can also confirm this occurs on my car as well. Bizarre to say the least. I have now ordered a 40cm whip aerial to increase the FM signal and will see it that improves or worsens things when the lights are off and the Garmin unit is attached...
  17. Right, have removed the Garmin from its mount whilst listening to a very poor Radio 4 signal with interference on it and the signal immediately became clean as the Garmin left its holder. Waving the Garmin around the mount and in front of the radio produced no effect. I then tried waving it around the aerial whilst listening with the doors open - no change. This means it is not radiated direct from the unit but something to do with the connection via the mount. This is a design problem with the data connection between the Garmin and the Citigo radio. It's not going to go away without modifications to one or the other so it looks like if you want to listen to FM radio you will have to remove the PID from its mount. Possibly one of a reasons that later cars now have a phone mount and TomTom licence instead of the PID...
  18. Interesting. My radio reception on FM is ****e in the Citigo except for the local BBC station which is a huge signal. I was going to return it to the dealer and moan about it but now will try this and see if mine is the same. If so, it might be worth experimenting with dismounting the Garmin unit and waving it around the radio, see what happens...
  19. If it's a month old, why not return it to the dealer and be done with it?
  20. Up to you really. Replace the four with all seasons sounds resonable, most likely what I will do when the time comes. Probably go for the Michelin Cross Climates. Put the worn rears on the front and fit same make new ones on the back - understeer is much easier to control than oversteering into a ditch, believe me. Mixing all seasons with summers? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Just my tuppence worth...
