  1. It’s an old Fabia. It’s not a Ferrari, any name brand tune will be fine. Celtic tuning, revo, Blacksmoke, Malone etc
  2. So they're selling an ECU from an old Fabia that's for parts. You wont know the source of the map so it could be a good brand name, or a cheap crappy one. Always better to go for a reputable company; REVO have dealers all over the country and Celtic Tuning come to your door. More expensive but after all you're paying to keep your engine in good health.
  3. If I remember correctly Octavia seats are on different rails and will need modifying to fit to the chassis. Dimensions are different and might not fit correctly either
  4. Although I dont have a Roomster, in my Octavia and Fabia, I tapped into the rear wiper feed from the fuse box as this is only live when ignition is on. the dash cam kits let you hijack a fuse inside the fusebox so fitment is really easy. you just hide the wire behind the pillar as the trim is removable, down into the fusebox.
  5. Ambient is 27c and pressure is 5bar with engine off. And 7.5-8bar with engine on. Halfords is closed now anyway but I suppose I best listen to Tech1e and get that compressor
  6. Could it be the gas? Halfords guy said it was fine, it stays in the green, but when revving, it is in-between the green and red. Just wondering as I know they're not the most technical people, and to be honest neither am I. The refrigerant settles at 7.5bar, and starts out at 8.5bar
  7. On ignition on, its at 5. After engine is on, it goes to 12 for 5 sec. Then the hissing starts, and it goes to 0
  8. No codes relating to the cooling/heating yet.... a video of it helps, so you can hear the sound https://youtu.be/-3ICxOx708w
  9. Done, battery light is on now on ignition as normal. The other connector looks intact (brown one) but aircon still not working. Hissing and don’t see any difference in revs
  10. As you guessed.... now going to have to figure out how to solder the bloody thing
  11. No errors on the VCDS scan.... 😞 Auto scan here: https://pastebin.com/raw/yXpEG6h1
  12. I think its just the disposal of them in household waste that's illegal because of the refrigerant. Although KwikFit will do it for half the price of a kit so its probably better going there I've got one Time to check, Ill post back if there's anything
  13. So it looks like my compressor is on the way out. I’ve only had the car 3 weeks so I’m unsure on history; but pressing the aircon button makes no difference. There is a hissing noise, and you don’t feel the compressor clutch kick in or the revs drop, at all. I’ve gone to Halfrauds about to buy a regas kit, and the bloke who checked it reckons it’s the compressor Would anyone else here be in agreement or could it be anything? I’m unsure of what exact part number to buy as it seems there’s a few variants for the 1.9tdi
  14. It’s a great scheme. Due to a severely ill family member, we have a vehicle on the scheme, and it’s been a lifesaver. Haven’t had to worry about the wear and tear, we’ve had heavy staining, vomiting, scratches and dents inside and out, you name it. generally due to the nature of the scheme, dealers are understanding of damage and not as harsh with grading the damage to the vehicle. We’ve even had a chip to the windshield after a chav kicked a rock, again, no issues. Consider it a good variant of leasing. Only issue is the allowance. We’ve had to push so much during interviews as they’re incredibly ignorant, and actually they often see people as “completely healthy and normal” just because there’s nothing immediately obvious. Not all disabilities are visible as you’ve said; but provided you’re on the right rate, Motability is great.
  15. I can access the module but that adaptation, when I select it doesn't work, just gives me an error. I've used it on my mk2 octy and it worked 😕
  16. Most posts here seem to say it’s not possible, maybe it’s not available on later dashes? Mine is an 06 reg
  17. Yes, this module is unavailable on the vrs. My only last result is now altering on the ECU, it seems there may be a way of doing it from a quick google
  18. What a shame... my mk2 Octavia vrs was always bang on after I corrected it.. this ones a bit of a nuisance lol i wonder if the EDC15p ECU has some sort of correction factor for fuel consumption figures.
  19. What module is responsible for the MPG display on the MK1 vrs? Mine is optimistic by quite a bit, maybe due to the remap.... but on VCDS it says the module is unavailable or something along those lines when I try to alter it Is there any module that is replaceable so the MPG can be adjusted or is this not possible?
  20. Ah. Should it be fine if I use 205/40R17? Ive seen it mentioned before, although there's not much I can find to be certain
  21. I know this has been discussed before and is common, but is there anything inherently dangerous about having the original Octavia tyres with the 205/50R17 tyres? They’re slightly chunky and REALLY fill the wheelarch, but after trying one they don’t rub and I can go lock to lock no issue. is it doable, or silly to fit them if the gap is like 1” at its worst
  22. Iirc you can buy relays that disable this function so they will never flash fast
  23. Some people have done it before, welding in the rear floor plan from the 4x4 version if I remember correctly. It’s possible with the right tools and time. Alternatively, there is a very rare, 4x4 hatchback/saloon model, but getting hold of one would be a miracle.
  24. You probably have a boost leak, unfortunately finding it is a bit of a phaff and will take some time. It’s fairly common. If you cant find it with a visual inspection, there are a few videos on YouTube detailing how to find it
