  1. 9psi is stock. The K03S turbo peaks, in some tunes, at 20-21psi, the Revo should be hitting 18-19PSI at full boost.
  2. I suppose, all I meant was its not an ideal permanent fix as leaks can happen from anywhere such as the piping and not just rads
  3. The issue is Radweld and anything like that is rubbish, it won't work. The only fix is to go to a garage and get it properly fixed, else it'll come back
  4. Congrats! DTUK, much like any tuning box company, is garbage. Unfortunately they sponsor lots of YouTubers so they get a lot of positive press that is undeserved. Tuning boxes miss so many parts in the ECU map that need changing, and sometimes can cause issues. Where they don't cause problems to your engine, they won't make as much power as a tune, and the power delivery won't be as refined.
  5. Very old post but sure, they’re known to be good. However off this forum I’ve seen some complaints saying they’ve rather fallen off Personally I’d always opt for Revo
  6. What power are you chasing? You can quite happily make 300HP on stock rods. Maybe even 350 - its aggressive torque that kills these, as long as power is smooth, the stock rods are fine. Realistically, they are the only major bit you'll need to change - they are very thing and snap with power. Mainly this: Big Turbo Manifold FMIC S3/TT225 MAF Housing Injectors (550c or so) Turbo back exhaust (decat or sports cat) High flow intake Upgrade Rods (advisable over 300hp) Highflow Fuel Pump (Depending on power) Upgraded pistons (depending on power)
  7. For around £5000, you can get to approx 350hp, with a big turbo from Darkside developments. Slightly smoky though, but they will tune to your requirements so you can tell them you want less smoke as opposed to less power etc. Would need to be MOT'd by a local friendly mechanic though
  8. While this doesn't answer your question, while looking for parts for mine, I found that even then, its cheaper to buy off of eBay than buy certain components on Eurocarparts + discount
  9. Sounds good but im on the smallest budget imaginable, so I want to get a cheap Chinese kit lol, not expecting it to last 100k miles The best I've found is a Frankenturbo clone for £500 with a downpipe and manifold, I'm just worried it won't fit because its for the S3 :( Else, I've found a couple used hybrid turbos
  10. Thanks, that’s good to know! Other than that, in regards to a manifold, could I use one for a Passat, or a Cupra R for example?
  11. Ive noticed a lot of turbo kits market themselves as being for the Audi TT 225 and the Cupra. Why are they never listed as compatible with the Octavia vRS (180), is the issue that they would not fit in between the engine and firewall? This one for example, or a K04 Hybrid. I've love to go down this route but nothing ever seems to work for the octavia lol
  12. Thanks, been busy recently but when I plan on changing the design/layout soon hopefully.
  13. I will check the fuses next time I have it, as for the battery, its fairly recent and is a good brand so doubt its failing, especially as the fix is to 'shake' the car to make it work again. Reason I ask is because I've never seen anything like it and have no idea where to start lol
  14. Hi guys, This is a very random occurrence and it happens very rarely but sometimes, my Octavia 2 Facelift cuts out completely, like the main battery post has been disconnected. Every single electrical device in the car is disconnected. When this happens while driving, it happens for under a second and reconnects. When it happens when stationary, it completely cuts out, and to fix it, I need to open the drivers door, and slam it with force. Is this an issue anyone else has had or does anyone have any ideas what I could check?
  15. Hes right though.... it only attenuates the signal, but the devices they use amplifies it again to be of higher strength. Remember, the devices are cheap Chinese tat, so put your key in the bag, and put it far away from the door, perhaps behind a few walls!
  16. Unfortunately, at the extortionate prices they demand for one, its not quite worth it - its an absolute rip off. In Egypt, the average monthly wage for a low skill worker is equivalent to £100 a month...... People that often pirate or use non genuine software, Never would have purchased the original software in the first place due to the cost, so companies aren't really harmed by piracy. @OsamaAtallah Did this issue only happen after you installed one of those parts? Have you changed any software? It might easier to find someone else with a VAG car and try it on theirs to confirm.
  17. What software are you using? Theres lots of working, nulled VCDS variants online but many are infected with viruses. I had to use a secondary computer to run my version due to Trojans - but it works just as well as the genuine thing. I see you made other posts re. VCDS as well, so has it suddenly stopped working, or did you never manage to use it?
  18. At that scale, that would be incredible pointless. It wouldn't be practical, nor useful for any Skoda owner to demonstrate a key with a cheap Arduino module on it.... Not to mention, I2C/SPI requires you handle the data in some form. You need some form of data processing, so no, you cant just wire the key fob battery to it. Unless you know assembly and want to reverse engineer the key and develop some simple software for it, and create an entire new PCB.
  19. As an Electronic Engineer, I assure you they work @pa_ko. At Deliveroo, workers would get around deliveries from ****e restaurants by placing phones inside delivery bags, which are lined in a foil material. It works 100% for blocking RF signals, weak ones at least. Faraday cages are not new tech and are simple for low power transmitters, such as what cars use. Aluminium trays for storing food work fine, so will aluminium foil, combine that with the distance and brick walls of your house....
  20. Its an annoying way to have to keep your keys, no doubt, but sadly car companies don't seem to be paying any attention to the problem
  21. The headunit above is great but awfully overpriced, particularly from halfrauds. Perhaps if you look on ebay you'll find a cheaper, refurb one, or you can get a Chinese set, such as the Xtrons one mentioned which looks to be one of the better ones available.
  22. Its actually something possible on any car with Keyless entry. Car keys randomise the code every time its sent to make sure one cant transmit a single code and unlock any given model, from a 'password' (hash is the actual term) that is built in at the factory. However, theres nothing stopping someone taking this code as its being transmitted, storing it, and transmitting it to the car. Skoda have done nothing wrong unfortunately, its a technology thats been around over a decade - my 2006 Renault had it! Simple fix: get a faraday pouch. It is surrounded with a metallic foil that prevents RF transmissions, and therefore stops the theft tool from transmitting the power signal that would normally energise the coil inside the keys and make them transmit. And also, don't put the keys near your house door.
  23. Have you seen in it person then? Just look for the engine code in the engine bay. CTHE = newer revised, but even this may have a slim chance of oil issue. CAVE = playing a lottery.
