  1. charging stops when the battery reaches 80-85% capacity. this extends battery life. of course, the declared range is written with a 100% full battery, which is never the case. tactics.
  2. you can only manipulate with BMS changing battery parameters, but its to be done only when change battery. or disconnect battery for few minutes, you cant disconnect on baterry terminal but can on terminal in fusebox.
  3. I have Karoq engine DPCA, 2019, remaped few days ago on local tuner, suppose to be REVO map but he didnt have it, and made custom map, and car is really faster. I am using fuel combo 95 ron and 100 ron 50:50. Everything is ok, only low pressure pump which is in gasoline tank underneath rear seats is noisy, much noisier than before, not all time, but in idle and accelerating from 1000-2000 rpm have strange sound like buzzing, after 2000 it stops. Acceleration is better, from 3000-5000 rmp car is now really fast.
  4. In an ideal world, yes. This world is not ideal. In fact, it gets worse day by day and year by year.
  5. tuning is not just fun, tuning is sometimes a necessity, why? maybe there isn't a model with a stronger engine or it's hard to find, maybe 5 people weighing 100kg each need to ride each day. has various needs. Why Ford C-max ecoboost 1.0 have variants with 85, 100 and 125 ks? because of needs, no because of fun.
  6. I saw that 1.5 tsi have 2 models of water pumps. First is with plactic thermometer housing, another is with aluminium housing. I suppose DADA engine had that one with plastic and DPCA with alu. Or not. Do somebody can confirm that. In catalogues and literature, its all mixes, but first can be dissembled and changed only pump or only thermostat. Aluminium one have bolts bur you can buy only whole package. And its more expensive. It have ekectronic thermostat yeah. Here are some pics..
  7. remapped to 177 HP, great. i should remap my 1.5 tsi too..
  8. which brand of shocks? i payed similar parts "Sachs" for Karoq, very similar, also i get strut stabilizers, and new driveshaft bolts, all for about 300€ which is about 270 british pounds, from your offer they take 500!! pounds for work. is it insane? how is it that expensive. its easy job. maybe 2 hours. OMDG. are labour prices so high in UK? i mean i did it myself, most tools i had, only buy set of 3 pieces 400mm Coil Spring Compressor. NEVER BUY ORIGINAL SHOCKS!
  9. do you have android auto? if you are usin it, it does bot matter where phone is, because all you can do with AA. i bought AA BT adapter, and it works perfectly. my phone is in pocket or anywhere, its little too big for my jeans but all works. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007769959254.html?
  10. if car refuse to use start stop system in any case, battery is done. it wont hold electricity. even unconnected. try to recharge battery and unplug minus terminal and leave 2 nights. if than is no drain, there is a problem, but if battery drains unconnected, its dead.
  11. OBD11 is always good to have
  12. Karoq is MQB A1 lke Ateca and T-roc ph1 cars with MQB evo are: Audi A3 Mk4 Audi Q3 MK3 Audi Q3 Sportback MK2 Audi Q6 Cupra Formentor Cupra Terramar Jetta VS8 SEAT León Mk4 Škoda Superb Mk4 Škoda Octavia Mk4 Škoda Kodiaq Mk2 Volkswagen Caddy Mk4 Volkswagen Golf Mk8 Volkswagen Multivan (T7) Volkswagen Tiguan Mk3 Volkswagen T-Roc Mk2
  13. you can put small amount of G12+ to G12. dont use G13.
  14. that lite version is very old, last update was in 2018. use normal torque pro, i think 3$.
  15. i googled it, thanks. your video shows compressor with magnetic clutch..
  16. yes i have OBD11 for VAG ver. 0.100.0 car is produced in september 2019, Mlada Boleslav. it have UDS protocol, now i see manual is on iphone, on android seems look different..
  17. Fleece? in OBD11 gen2 i changed battery a year ago and it was impossible to write battery tipe, just in menu choose from EFB or AGM.. so if i put AGM, i should choose AGM, there is no Fleece option.. i have in mind this battery..
  18. go to options garage and find battery managment.. To perform OBDeleven battery adaptation (or registration) on a Gen 3 vehicle, connect the device, navigate to the "Gateway" (Control Unit 19), select "Adaptation," and then fill in the new battery's details like capacity, technology (e.g., AGM), manufacturer, and serial number. The exact location within the Gateway control unit might vary, but the general process involves inputting the new battery's specifications into the adaptation fields to inform the car's system of the replacement. Steps for OBDeleven Battery Adaptation Connect OBDeleven: Plug the OBDeleven device into your vehicle's diagnostic (OBD-II) port. Turn on Ignition: With the ignition on (but the engine not running), open the OBDeleven app. Find the Gateway: In the app, navigate to the "Gateway" control unit, which is typically Control Unit 19. Select Adaptation: Choose the "Adaptation" function within the Gateway control unit. Enter New Battery Details: You'll find fields to enter the new battery's information. Capacity (Ah): Input the Amp-hour rating of the new battery. Technology: Specify the battery type, such as AGM or EFB. Manufacturer: Enter the brand of the battery. Serial Number: Input the new battery's serial number. If you don't know it, you can often change the last digit, or use a sequence like 1234567890. Complete Adaptation: Follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the adaptation process. Why Battery Adaptation is Necessary Battery registration informs your vehicle's electrical system that a new battery has been installed. This is crucial because the system uses this information to adjust charging cycles and manage the electrical load, ensuring optimal performance and preventing premature failure of the new battery.
  19. newer cars have a start stop and an alternator with reversible charging, when you go downhill without throttle, it works as a generator. also in newer cars, everything is subordinated to economy and ecology. lead batteries normally like to be charged to the maximum, then they have the longest life and alternators used to work that way. now not anymore, the alternator puts a minimal load on the engine in order to consume the least amount of fuel, and 80% battery capacity is enough, even if it shortens its lifespan. but that became irrelevant because the battery is a consumable and is expected to be replaced like the spark plugs, 4-5 years. when changing the battery, if it is of the same capacity and output current, it is good to replace only the last digit of the serial number through some diagnostics and the ecu will immediately think that a new battery has been installed. that's what I did with OBD11. but I also entered other things, the manufacturer, etc. I'm interested, since I now have Exide EFB 60 Ah in 1.5 tsi, when I change it, I'll put AGM because they're even cheaper. then in diagnostics, the serial number, capacity and current are replaced again, and if necessary, the manufacturer. is it ok to put a new AGM battery in a car that had an EFB? I often see AGM in diesel cars and EFB in petrol cars.
  20. on that mlace is MIL. take a clear photo at daytime with better focus.
  21. i have normal shocks on karoq without control. 1.5 tsi with 85000 kms. front right was misting, left not, but i felt when dribing that bar is bouncing in front. i tested shocks ant were on 50% of capacity. i changed front with Sachs, man it was another car, much, much more manageable, no jumping, no noises, of course, I also replaced the corresponding bearings and shock absorber caps. I soon replaced the rear ones, which were not so bad, but I like a stable car, so I put Bilstein B4
  22. but, nowadays cars are heavier, faster, brake much intensive, fluid is getting hotter, summer temperature in central europe is "normally" +35°C, brake rotors are bigger. there are lot of reasons why properly mantain brake system. its one of most important system and always had to be 100% functional. changing engine oil is matter of wish but changing rotors, pads, fluid, pipes are the matter of law and security. look i buyed 5yo karoq and braking fluid was NEVER changed. i posted picture but heres too. i have hygrometer fow dot oils, and it always shows less than 1% of water in fluid which is acceptable. but dont wait for that. change it regularly, 2 years no matter of mileage, because this oil is getting old in not opened canister too. opened canster should be used within 1 year.. do your brakes, think about your safety, and of people behind you and in front of you. look at this brake fluid. 5yo.
  23. i never hear about that.. ofc it is automatic parking brake, i also have it on my karoq. maybe rather to spend 20 credits od OBD11? some people just use 12V electricity from some battery and 2 wires and drive pistom in or aut.. not a big deal..
