  1. i had this issue after the cold weather and it was the boden cable had slipped and needed a pair of long nose pliers to grab and readjust it and now its fine. If you hold the door handle open and take a close look you will see the end of the boden cable looks like a black plastic triangle and it may need grabbing hold of and slightly pulling outwards and repositioning. check this video if your not sure which part i mean but thats all i did and it worked https://youtu.be/3dXRGsWHduQ

  8. i have a full set of rubberised ones on i simply putt a piece of blue tack on each nut before pushing the covers on and none gone missing in 18 months so far.
  9. trouble i have is i need to see a picture of where the manual adjusters are in a car with them im not sure if they are on those small covers in the corner of windows or on doors.
  10. So ive been unable to find a replacement wing mirror switch as mine is the one the swopped out for a better type they are impossible to get hold of. I have a replacement set of wing mirrors ive just aquired as mine had both been hit in the past and repaired but the replacment pair are the manual adjust type now im just wondering before i go swopping all the covers etc over if there is a way i can actually fit the manual adjustment ones to my car or is that a no go was just a thought ???
  11. just under 22 years old and i can honestly say only rust i had to deal with was that known spot right below the rear number plate lights.
  12. At least you know the wet footwell thing is an easy cheap fix.
  13. Do I need to be rechecking the engine mount bolts I did thread lock and torque plus 90degrees.
  14. I had mine skimmed before I replaced and it's been going strong for 18months as guys said needs skimming or your just throwing money at it with same end result.
  15. Just my opinion though not a fan of a thread in a thread and a bolt with suspension I would personaly rather fit new parts for peace of mind.
  16. cant see the point in doing all that and not replacing console bushes and a proper job as its suspensdion rather than taking the bodge route of a helicoil youve done most of the work by that point to the right job mate.

  18. Ah got you I had found the Allen head bolt but you've clarified it for me now surprised would have thought logically levering upwards not downwards would have loosened glad you put me straight thanks tmb 😀
  19. put on hold yesterday was way to cold lol so weekend now so can anyone explain how I use this to release the v belt tension please ???
  20. Ok so pump finally arrived going to get it swapped out tomorrow just to confirm I only need to take out drivers side mount dont need to touch other ???
  21. is mannol g12+ coolant okay to use thought i might as well change it now i have to drain it
  22. cheers guys as always just waiting on the new water pump coming by royal mail so could be next year with all the strikes sighhhhhh.
  23. Last question I promise lol can someone please tell me the bolt torques please I can't get that page loading.

  25. thenks tmb guess i got to work out how to slightly raise engine with trolley jack and bottle pumps lol.
