  1. if we could see a picture of the dent we could comment better I got a pretty big dent out of my rear quarter panel when i first had the car using a heat gun and dent puller sucker and some gentle persuasion with the wheel arch liner removed and a long reach metal rod. I would try the old boiling hot water on it first with a mini plunger ive seen this method successfully remove many a small dent.
  2. installs a sly speed camera onto briskoda site mwahhhhhhhhhhh.
  3. ah right good to know it was just a thought that maybe this was causing the low end rev issues as you say I thought possible fuel starvation as I know already its not the pump as I changed this a while back. I ts just strange how its only really at low gears when pulling off its slight hesitation and jerking but like today for instance at speed on the motorway its all fine and im not really seeing a change in mpg.
  4. well had a mess around today and pulled the pipes off the fuel filter to swop it out and sprayed brake cleaner into the inlet pipe and a lot of crap came out of the outlet pipe. i have a new fuel filter but the issue I have is the retaining bolt on the plastic filter holder is so corroded nothing left there to put a tool into to loosen it off and i dont want to snap the holder for obvious reasons as nothing then to hold the filter secure.
  5. I've just been out snd really checked pipes and all is good deffo no splits so it's not that then. Once car has run s bit it's fine seems yo be at low temp and revs.
  6. Hi ladt few days when I'm pulling off and slowly second and third gear the car is hesitating and jumping a bit as if its going to stall. I've just done full service and changed plugs thoughts please ???
  7. yep those were what I used also
  8. or just do as i did and upgraded my bulbs to a higher spec and then used fly eye wrap on the headlights looks much nicer and perfectly road legal and mot pass.
  9. second that thats the only place i had some rot and ive seen several with this same spot rusting the issue is it holds water and people dont tend to wipe that area well when cleaning the car.
  10. Hi can anyone confirm the correct oil for my car please the hayes manual states 5w40 but the online sites say 5w30.
  11. Issue sorted one loose connection n/s and o/s wire had broke at solder so a quick resolder and all good 👍
  12. As said above easy job I've fine both worst parts are the pop rivets and getting plugs back through brllows but the job itself is very simple changed both mine In an hour.
  13. stereo does not have a seperate function to do that 😞
  14. They are both wired I popped door cards off to check like you say maybe 1 but both is weird.
  15. Hi all my front tweeters are suddenly not working, everything else speaker wise and stereo is fine just both front tweeters ???
  16. Mine has both also although previous owner had somehow lost the plastic cover on the fuel release lever do its just the metal pull which is hard to pull eithout the cover.
  17. both cars done now so yet a bit more added security thanks to all as always
  18. OK thankyou all.
  19. That's what I was thinking of doing just splice a switch into the blue feed wire to stop the flow of power to the pump so this would do the job then yes ???
  20. perfect example woman down the road from me last week has a ford fiesta st now i know these are getting robbed at an alarming rate but she had it on her drive with a wheel lock a steering lock immobiliser and her keys in a faraday pouch and it still got robbed.
  21. Yes of course i,m more concerned about the house break in but also the cars issue as both myself and my partner depend on these 2 cars for work i,m on constant call out due to my job so cannot afford to have one of the cars stolen, ive taken all precautions i can to safe guard the house but as ive said maybe its different by you but in my area thieves will do almost anything they can to get what they want so in my eyes extra small precautions are just a good thing.
  22. already has cctv as you know this does not stop low lifes and keep disconnecting the batteries is not a really good method as its constantly deleting the settings doing that hence why I just want to isolate fuel pumps or ignition would be the other go to area.
  23. The issue by me atm is a gang of 3 going around and breaking in stealing car keys etc so i just want to add a bit of extra security that is not obvious and hopefully if the worst happens they will flee knowing the cars will not start peace of find baring in mind as I said ive had the local gutter rats already sniffing around my vehicles.
  24. me again ok so this is the thing the car thefts by me atm are absolutely horrendous and ive already caught a guy 2 nights ago sniffing around the furbie and my other car. now i know they have immobilisers and steering locks but we know all these things can be bypassed so ive thought about adding kill switches. from what ive read a good one is to stop the power going to the fuel pump by splicing into the wire and adding a toggle switch but on my 2 cars its a real pia to do it at this location. what i was thinking was to splice into the live feed just up from the fuel pump before the wires go into the plug and pump and add kill switches toggle switches and i would be able to hide them somewhere discreet at the rear say like the rear cupholder or something keeping them out of view. Is this a plausible idea or would it cause an issue to the fuel circuit in any way ???
  25. Cheers mate your a diamond 😀
