Part of the Chase very few MTB's go and even there its off the fire roads. May all change when the majority of lay-by's close and all car parks are pay and display to pay for the fencing to force everyone on the same trails

River rafting ride today... The mud slide was from Potta Pool Quarry, probably flooded so they bulldozed it out the back gate..

I've been thrown a lifeline tonight for the Supersapiens... Unit/trailer for Igloo have broken down on way from Leeds to Rochdale so day off and weather looks OK. 👍

One part of the Chase snowy, icy trails, the other colder but wetter and muddier... Proper mud-fest 😀 I may be struggling to get the 7.5hrs in.... Time to try the lights out methinks. 🤔

Tyres stayed up so off I went on 2021's first ride.... Ice, snow, slush and mud.... Lovely 👍 Damn... Wahoo and Strava don't agree on time... 3 mins short of 2hrs on the Supersapiens challenge 😕

QR dropouts so no wriggle room, using the Mavic supplied adaptors, got an old rotor to cut up and use as a spacer and hopefully get a better alignment. I don't do FTD or the Monkey, usually quiet single-track, trails or fire roads but still the same old gritty stuff

I should have been out 2-3 times since Xmas but snowy, icy, cold so maintenance and tubeless today. These rear pads went in mid October... I need to sort out rear caliper/disc alignment since the Mavic went in, so much for industry 'standards', rotor needs spacing out a tad as no more adjustment on the mounts. Halfway through tubeless mounting, inflated with no sealant at the moment, just a tiny seep out of beads, sealant in tomorrow.

yes re the grips, Thick / soft although they dont appear to be that much thicker so hopefully the 'waffles' will make the difference i use the basic Strava as i dont chase numbers as such, using Wahoo chest HR and Wahoo on phone and then upload to Strava. Wahoo keeps history on phone as a simpler way to view. Bike specific tech i dont need ie Garmin etc as its one more thing to remember to take when i ride in France, phone always goes with me i'll screenshot rides for the other thread for those who dont use Strava

DMR yellow Camo grips now fitted, accidentally popped on to the counter at Run & Ride Milford whilst having a coffee... But no cake 😕 Riding position better with the slight rise on the bars I'll report back tomorrow on the grips, off out again for another mud-fest. 😁 S'cuse the **** poor pic, I forgot whilst outside 🙄
