  1. Well got a few miles in and it’s perfect looks wise and still pretty comfortable but I think overall the shocks/struts are too soft. So at speed you still get that bit of bobbly feeling rather than firm reaction to the road. Compared to my 14plate A3 on Edibach springs. So... will probably have some springs up for sale soon as I will be giving the stx coilovers a try see if that firms things up. Also, does anyone know if there are any updated shocks/struts as that might possibly sort it instead of going coilover seeing as it’s only the front that’s actually coilovers anyway.
  2. I have always taken the boot cover off and fished the cable through the rubber where all the other cables are run then across just underneath the plastic by the headliner and along the top of windscreen to the camera.
  3. Not had any rubbing so far will let you know after next weeks commute. This is the 30mm front 45mm rear Edibach kit.
  4. Took me about 3hrs all done! Looks so much better! Just need to calibrate the lights now.
  5. Cheers mate all done not. As in the thread they are going in the bin!
  6. Once stopped via emergency breaking you will have to keep your foot on the brake until traffic moves and then reactivate once you are rolling again. It won’t activate when stopped. But I have never had an instance when it accelerated into anything even on a very sharp curve it seems to still see cars. Also, emergency breaking really expects your input. It’s not designed to do the whole job so you are still expected to react take control and avoid the car completing the full stop. Hope that helps!
  7. If emergency breaking is activated it will disable ACC until you set it again. This is why I tend not to use it in very stop start traffic because it will speed up quite rapidly then if traffic comes to a quick stop ACC won’t always slow quickly enough and then it will used the emergency warn then brake if you don’t intervene. It’s best in constantly moving traffic or normal traffic.
  8. Got my springs but they came with 4 little keeper rings anyone know what they are for?
  9. Yes, 30-40 especially since the back is so high.
  10. Brilliant! Mine is like a cloud at the moment especially when setting off it pitches up so definitely looking forward to getting rid of that!
  11. How is the ride? Just got some for my Estate before I go coilovers it looks great!
  12. Just noticed that when cold my 1.0tsi feels like it’s surging upon acceleration. Sounds normal runs fine just doesn’t have that smooth linear acceleration feel it has when warm. This is on normal cold engine acceleration not ragging it on a cold engine. It doesn’t bother me just wondering if it’s normal? Cheers
  13. Yes, mine is still random unlocking with the key sometimes needs two presses to unlock all doors.
  14. I’ve managed to sort mine by using the sensor on the inside of the door handle to unlock. I was touching the outside one to unlock and that would randomly unlock just the driver door or all four. I have coded mine to auto lock when all doors are closed so I don’t have to touch it when leaving.
  15. Just had another listen and mine does have a VERY faint high pitch humming sound. Not sure it’s the screen or something else in the radio.
  16. It is brilliant once you get your head around how it works and what to watch out for. As above if there is a big speed difference sometimes it reverts to the emergency warning and then breaking versus gradually slowing. But usually if you spot it just slow and re-engage. Perfect for lots of traffic around 10-40 mph. Really stop start I tend to leave it off as is sometimes a bit jerky depending on the driver ahead. It almost mimics them at low speed so if they are not smooth ect you get the idea.
  17. Should be possible mine has a camera same swing plus.
  18. I started with my first mk2 1.6tdi Fabia... that 20k later was wrote off.. absolutely gutted. Since had various Octavia 1.9,Audi a4 1.9,Audi A3 1.6, Octavia 1.6... finally bought a new Fabia estate 1.0tsi monty.. absolutely love it! Engine is great economy around 57mpg with some spirited driving! Sounds and drives a lot like a diesel and has that lovely notchy 6spd box almost like the old ones!
  19. Could be anything... the adaptive cruise usually faults with anything related to abs/handbrakes faults. If it’s gone into limp mode it won’t be anything to do with cruise.
  20. Well looks like I need to try again then... that’s good news I really miss it!
  21. The coding is there but that is for older cars. The newer ones need new access codes for the new modules. I can see what needs changing but can’t change it... Unfortunately not available at the moment. So we will both have to wait. Haha
